I have a remote machine I want to setup as a proxy server for web browsing. What windows based programs would you advise to simplify the process? I have tried winproxy to no avail and CCProxy but CC has trouble reassembling the pages in my Firefox 5 browser on OSX.

I know fairly basic HTML but after seeing the social network and begging my friends to get going on an idea for a site I think I have them convinced to give this a real effort.

Looking for a good piece of software (preferably freeware) to just do a quality recording from a 3.5mm input on my laptop.
Is there a better method to record audio into a laptop than using the RCA to 3.5mm mic input on my laptop? I'd be willing to spend up to 50 dollars if the recording...

So I've formed a pool of internet users between my side of a duplex (3 users) and the individual neighbors for a total of 5. Neighbor A runs his own wireless network off of my router while neighbor B uses our network.
Long story short I would like to setup an activity logging system to...
Obviously this requires a braket to complete this setup, does anyone have any schematics or know of a good "how to" guide for making a bracket as seen here...

I have a Toshiba notebook and I need to get another display out of my single VGA port, anyone have any suggestions? Using it for stock charting, preferably something very responsive.
I've replaced two screens as well as the monitor LCD cable and for the life of me cannot get the backlight to work? I've used the inverter from another laptop plugged into this Dell's LCD to get the backlight to turn on but when connected to its own system it will not turn on the backlight. Is...

Can I buy a dual 771 board now and a quad for the board then drop another quad in a few months down the line or do they need to match stepping to avoid freak out
is there much of a market for this? I'm poor and in college with plenty of free time. Assuming I can assemble a decent farm I think this could work. Whats the difference in paying someone for points or paying for and dealing with the hassle yourself?
Anybody have any calculations on much it...
My dorm room is overheating pretty bad, we have a serious fan in the window but its still not enough. It's just my dual opty 170, and my laptop folding but its really hot in here, maybe i can get some pics up or something. I need like dryer exhaust tubing or something to get this heat out of...

whats the difference in folding capacity assuming 24/7 smp client, both dedicated boxes?
also does ram matter at all or does 512 fold like 1024 like 2048?
Have a 939 rig just needs a proc, need a dual core. Dedicated folding box. Look up stats under "Patman" going to run xp with smp client =) The egg has them for 55 shipped for a 2.0ghz, thats the price to beat.
did a quick ntfs reformat on a machine, should have been ntfs before. Now I need to recover some of the files, just finished the xp pro sp2 install, nothing else so it should be fairly successful.
Whats a good utility to do this with?
Yep we all know it. Free electricity out the wazhoo. Anybody having trouble powering rig(s) I go to school in Cincinnati, Ohio. Send those boxes my way to keep them folding on my free juice. =) Not trying to steal some boxen fear not, too legit to quit plaman2003 on ebay and heat at Patman. Fold...
