I bought this TV several weeks ago when it went on sale for $335. The picture quality is just okay but it's just a bedroom TV so we won't be using it heavily. The speakers really are terrible. Everything sounds muffled and there is no bass. Luckily it's going to be connected to a computer that...
Thanks. I've been waiting for Orcs Must Die! 2 to come down in price a little but didn't think it would come down 50% this soon.
FYI, you can get Plants vs Zombies free starting tomorrow through Nov. 10: http://www.stopzombiemouth.com/
Thanks, I had just recommended another Biostar motherboard to a friend this morning and this one is definitely a better fit for him and the same price. Luckily he had not ordered yet.
Ordered one last night and got confirmation this morning that it was ready for pickup. Went to the store and was told that they had a system error and they didn't actually have any in stock.
Agreed. I would normally skip through videos like this or not watch them at all but I found that I enjoyed yours enough to watch it all the way through. I particularly enjoyed the soundtrack to it :). I look forward to seeing how your build turns out.
I ran into this problem at first. Locking your mouse to the screen you are playing the game on usually fixes the problem. You can press Scroll Lock to do so.
Another vote for Synergy. I'm using it even now. It really takes multi-tasking to another level beyond what even extended desktop can do. I actually use my laptop with a second monitor on extended desktop and then a separate desktop PC with it's own monitor. I am able to move my mouse across the...
I agree. I had a stick fail on me and had it replaced only for one of the new ones to fail as well. I finally just had them send me value RAM so I could have something stable. Won't touch Ballistix again. Makes you wonder why it's so low priced doesn't it?
That was one of the combos that I did strongly consider but what swayed me to TD was the BCB. I ordered my parts from them last night and ended up getting $100 BCB.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
Went ahead and ordered the case (CM 690 II Basic) and memory from Newegg (also threw in a DVD burner for $20). I had a $50 gift card I've been waiting to spend anyway. Will probably be going ahead and ordering the rest from TD very shortly (for the BCB).
Thanks Antimatter but I guess I'm pretty satisfied with the board choice. Due in part to this [H] review of it. I don't mind the lack of eSATA as I currently have no eSATA devices and I feel like the USB3 will fill that void. I actually like the side-ways SATA ports. I've fought with SATA ports...
I definitely appreciate your suggestions and I see what you're saying about the 955 over the 965. That's something I debated with myself even and eventually decided that I'm okay with the extra $20 for 200MHz high clock since I won't be overclocking. I'm unfortunately not very enthusiastic about...
What do you think? It's being built with gaming most in mind but also as my primary and general use computer. I don't buy Intel processors and I really have no desire to get into that argument with anyone. It's a personal choice and I hope we can leave it at that.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
It will be a general use PC, but it's important to me to be able to do some gaming with good quality graphics. Not even hardcore gaming really, I tend to play older games however I would like to be able to have good...
Same brand and looks very similar to this one...

Which I also think is a great deal. Built a server for someone with it last week, and I have to say it's an absolutely great case for the money.
Tonight I got a CompUSA branded wireless-g router for $2 (not a typo). It's used, but came with the documentation (small booklet and CD). I figured it would be broken but the only thing wrong with it that I've noticed was that it's missing a power adapter, and the default password had been...
PTNL:
Sounds like a great idea. The logo could for example be used as a background since I don't necessarily need it clickable as I will provide at least one text link to "Home" on the page.

You're right, it's very messy, but I tend to just write things out to get my...
I have been fighting with CSS all day long trying to get it to do what I want, to no avail. Basically, what I want the page to look like this (used tables to demonstrate):

I realize that I could have just went with the tables and moved on, but the whole...
Yeah ruled it out. Tried a different one. I wonder if I somehow damaged the CPU socket though. If I did theres no physical sign of it though, at least not that I can see.
Not the power switch, not the front panel. Have tried resetting CMOS. Have replaced the battery in case that was the problem. Have used different RAM. Anyway, noticed I neglected to tell a detail. When I hit the power button, the PSU powers up, but thats it. No activity other than that...
I was playing with an old Intel mobo I had laying around, was thinking of using it and spare parts I have to build another comp just for the hell of it. Anyway, I took off the heatsink and removed the CPU cause I had ordered a new P3 for it off eBay. I decided I wanted to play with BIOS though...
It doesn't say "only", it says "Use on your next Amoco Ultimate purchase". However, judging by what it says on the back of the card, that's just a suggestion and not a requirement.
