Got it, thanks. Went ahead and ordered 3 + the PSU filter.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Forgive my complete ignorance, but if I only have 4 fans (2x92mm + 2x120mm) do I only need 4 demicflex filters? or should I get more for the additional openings (like on the top of the case)?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks Nivaku, for some reason a rear fan hadn't even occurred to me (actually, given that I hadn't really thought about fans in general it's less surprising).

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

If I've got 2 120mm fans on the side, and a single 92mm PWM fan on the bottom (next to a 3.5 HDD)...how should they be set up in terms of exhaust/intake?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

My beautiful M1 is currently up and running. With an awful DSL connection, I've been downloading games on steam for literally 4 days straight. CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard: ASRock Z87E-ITX Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

So I think i've successfully installed a 3.5" HDD on the bottom of the case, with the rubber washers having the larger circle on the outside and the smaller circle on the inside. But I'm struggling to install a 2.5" HDD (NOT SSD) behind the blu ray drive. What combination of washer & screws do...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

So happy to have my case. And so in over my head. All the different screws has completely thrown me. I think i finally identified the right motherboard screws (there were 6 of which I used 4?). Are the ODD screws the smallest damn near microscopic ones (I have 5)?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Great news that people are starting to receive theirs from ship #26. Hopefully mine will get here to GA next week. And to add to that excellent timing, the PP05-E cables that I ordered while they were out of stock at amazon, actually shipped today and will be here Tuesday! Should make the...

Congrats, which CPU cooler are you going with on the ASRock?

Has anyone found those Silverstone PP05-E cables online for sale? http://silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=438&area=en ----- Edit: found them at amazon But they're "temporarily out of stock". I wonder how temporary? I have very little interest in taking apart my M1 after I put it together...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

You have it installed in an M1 already? My concern was the combination of M1 + ASRock Z87 + C12P SE14, just from what I had been reading on this thread. I'm sure it could work somehow someway, but I was concerned about the build difficulty given my lack of skill (never having done an iTX...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

So I just jumped on that H220 deal. I'd previously bought the C12 SE14 but returned it after hearing some fit issues with my chosen mobo, the ASRock Z87-ITX. Is there anything else I need to purchase in addition to the H220? I've never watercooled anything before; hell, I've never installed a...

Dang, wish I had ordered that NH-L9i instead of the C12

What will your M1 build contain!?

Honestly, I don't know. I know nothing about cooling components, so I have no preferences. And given that I don't really know what I'm doing, I'm going to wait to hear whether AFD is successful installing it before trying it myself. I figure the odds are better than 50/50 that I end up sending...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Well this has me worried now. I bought the C12 and the ASRock Z87E and have never installed anything other than the retail heatsink that comes with the CPU so frankly I'd be apprehensive even under the best of circumstances. Hopefully I won't be the only one with these components and someone...

What will your M1 build contain!?

just my opinion, but while the 2500k is a fine CPU, there's no way I would invest $150+ in a new itx mobo for it. Honestly, I would set your ncase off to the side while you save up for a completely new build.

What will your M1 build contain!?

I think this may end up my final build. I've never installed an after-market cooler or tried overclocking, but I'm going to give it a shot here. Purchased the video card, monitor, odd, memory, and (of course) case already. CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler...

What will your M1 build contain!?

I have 2 questions really before getting the remaining pieces of my planned build: Which mobo would be more problematic (in terms of layout) with Air CPU coolers and a big GPU (GTX 780): the Gigabyte Z87N-wifi, or the ASRock Z87E-wifi? I'm not willing to pay the premium for Asus, so these...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks for that. I went ahead and ordered my new GTX 780 SC to take advantage of the holiday bundle, but I think i'm going to wait until closer to Black Friday to order the mobo, processor, PSU, and hard drives. My concern is return windows closing before I get a chance to actually put the...

What will your M1 build contain!?

So with the new GTX 780 discounts (and holiday bundle!) in place, I'm looking at pulling the trigger on some parts. CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: ASRock Z87E-ITX Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard ($149.99 @ Newegg) Memory: Crucial...

I'm interested in the blu-ray drive. Though it is just $102 from a third-party on amazon right now.

Announcing The GeForce GTX Holiday Bundle

I've been thinking a lot about this. My "wishful thinking" guess is that the specs & pricing for the 780ti are announced by month-end (with availability mid-November), which will also have announced price drops for 780 & 770 right when the holiday bundle becomes effective.

Thanks for the clarification update Wahaha: The M1 package could arrive any time between mid NOV 2013 to end of JAN 2014, so please provide your permanent address. With this in mind, since i'm moving in late November I'm not going to take any chances and went ahead and change the shipping...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Don't forget the PSU that's bundled in at that price. I was momentarily tempted, but I'm just going to do my best to be patient for the M1 to arrive. I have zero desire to game with my latop anymore...but then again, I don't really have the room for a desktop setup either until first of...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

So how problematic would this beastly 780 HOF be in the M1 given the less than ideal cooler and presumably higher power requirements (assuming we're limited to a 450W PSU with the M1)?

Awesome, didn't know about the follow, but now I'm following the original campaign. Also great news to know that it should be up this month. I know there has been A LOT of discussion on builds, but I'm incredibly anxious for the cases to actually get into the hands of folks and get a better...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Yeah, I actually bought my 1440p monitor 4 months before I'll probably be building my new computer. And from what I've read, there is a lot of disagreement on the VRAM needed. I think the various benchmarks I've seen on 2GB GTX 770s at ultra 1440p settings is enough for me to not be overly...

My first post here, but I've been following this project for several months now. Wish I had gotten the chance to contribute to the original campaign. I plan on building my new desktop in November, and I've been changing my mind left and right on what it is I want. I'm a bit terrified by...
