Most people I know who PC game through their TV either have their PC permanently in their living room connected to it or put their TV on their computer desk.
I don't find either prospect all that appealing, I've connected my PC to my TV a few times and for me it's not worth the effort. I'm not...
I don't know how common the bugs were, I got about 50 hours in and finished the main story line before the 1st patch, 5 minutes after 1st patch my map broke which made it almost impossible to play.
This patch has fixed it but I don't see me going back to play the game any time soon since I...
I hope that's not the case because you'll end up encountering people who just use them all the time as a matter of course and/or it'll just feel like a cheap shot when someone uses them.
Wait a sec, I haven't been following closely but if they are threatening legal action, where is that money coming from?
If it's coming from the pool of money they have from backers I'm not overly happy.
Yeah so did mine. Disappointing that they haven't fixed it yet as it seems like a lot of people it broke their map. Apparently you can fix it by going to a vantage point you haven't been to before (as it forces the map to open which fixes it).... but I've already been to all the vantage points...
It's legit. It might not appeal to all folks. In my introductory avionics course we used it for a couple of classes to learn what different instruments were.
EDIT: I was playing some Batman Arkham City today and I don't really know what people are complaining about with Mad Max, AC combat feels just as (if not more) clunky than the MM combat, it's just Batman dances around like a martial artist compared to Max who just punches people lots.
Maybe...
Looks like there's a new patch out.

A few bug fixes, including the harpoon not working on triple monitor setups.
The only problem I ever had with the sniper rifle was when there was a small obstruction that I should be able to shoot around but the auto aim kept making me hit the obstruction. That said I didn't really use the sniper rifle all that much.
I played about 80% of TW1 and played through TW2. I thought the combat was crap for the most part. I played TW2 briefly before the difficulty was rebalanced, maybe it was better back then. But my full playthrough was after the rebalance and I thought it was the main weak point of the game.
In...
You know what's funny, as a kid I played the likes of Battletoads and Double Dragon on NES and remember them being super hard. I played them again more recently and realised they were actually a lot easier than I thought they were, just they were mostly frustrating due to the lack of saves, lol...
That sucks. It's stupid they haven't gotten rid of activation limits for old games. I have only had 1 game where I ran out of activations and the publisher reset it for me when I emailed them, and since then they've removed the limit on the game.
But in general I try and avoid games with...
I can't believe the discussion is about how *realistic* GTA driving is. They are ALL horribly unrealistic, haha.
Go on then. I've been looking for open world driving games with decent physics, would love to hear your suggestions.
It was a mod. I can't remember exactly which mod I used, but here's one that came up when googling....

Though that mod was only uploaded a few months ago, so there must be others because I remember quite close to launch there were things to fiddle...
So did you free the prisoner or did it never come up?
I did lust for powder after going to Gutgash as well and didn't have any problems. The bug I've heard about is if you complete lust for powder freeing the prisoner (which lets you build the armoury) but you don't actually build the armoury...
I found it weird how Americans don't understand the Australian accents. Actually, Americans seem to be the worst when it comes to understanding different accents :D
Optional missions just come up as a pale blue dot on the map. You can have multiple optional missions running at once, each will...
I think the point is there's very little progression in Mad Max. I liked it, but it's all very monotonous. Even as you upgrade things, the combat doesn't really develop. Opponents don't get any more challenging or different, environments don't get any more complicated or varied.
There was only...
The scrap you collect off bodies/cars/scavenging locations doesn't increase much as the game progresses, but the cost of upgrades does. To compensate, by later in the game you will have captured camps and they will supply you with scrap regularly (you just get a notification every now and then...
After a while you just stop bothering to collect scrap that isn't directly in your path. I think it's a bit of a flaw to scatter such tiny amounts of scraps over so many locations, it just makes it feel grindy and after a while you just end up relying on captured camps to automatically supply...
Just finished all the wasteland missions and all the story missions.
Not a bad game at all, but could have been a lot better.
I will admit I love just being able to drive a hacked up muscle car around a big open map and beat up on people so any game that lets me do that with some purpose is...
A game does need to present you with reasons to use all the tricks in your bag. Part of Mad Max's problem is you don't have many tricks in your bag and the game is designed so the most effective tactic is "tap Y when balloon appears then pound X" and in extreme circumstances "tap RB instead of...
Err, well, this is only digital sales. I don't think it's news that console gamers are more likely to buy physical copies of games and PC gamers are more likely to buy digital. Does Capcom even release their full gamut of AAA games on Xbox Live Arcade?
I'm reasonably confident once you...
All those games are sword-type combat though, I don't think any of them would port over well to a pugilist style game like Mad Max. And they aren't immune to getting a bit boring after 15-30 hours either.
I don't mind the overall style of Mad Max, it just needs a bit more depth, expand the...
22 hours in and I just reduced Jeet's territory to 0 threat. Now need to decide whether I can be bothered working on Gutgash's area or just skip over to Pinkeye, Pinkeye is needed to get the parts to progress the story where as it seems like Gutgash can sort of just be ignored.
I've gotten to...
I decided to pick it up on GMG (stupidly... because I forgot how bad the Australian exchange rate is at the moment, cost $52AUD, doh!). Played about 4 hours and I'm enjoying it. I think the combat is fine other than it could maybe use a bit more depth. Same with the driving, it's fine but it'd...
You never really had any rights when it came to PC games, it's just with the internet publishers have found a way to enforce your lack of rights.
As for whether it bothers me? Yeah it does. Not enough to keep me awake at night and not enough to stop me getting a game I want unless the DRM it...
Well I just finished Wolfenstien: The New Order which played fine on the GTX460, I guess I need to pick what game I want to play next and if the GTX460 comes up short I'll upgrade to 2GB GTX960 (the Gigabyte Windforce one seems to be the cheapest one with good cooling).
Given the GTX460 is...
Found out the GTX670's were all warranty return refurbs so didn't grab one :( still looking, struggling to justify a GTX960, it feels like graphics hardware advancement has slowed in the past few years but prices haven't really dropped at the same time, at least out here.
Is 4GB worth it on a 960?
I don't see me getting a GTX 970, I mostly just play games casually these days so it's not really worth the investment (looks like they start at ~$440AUD).
Since the 2GB GTX960 looks similar to the GTX670 in benchmarks, I'm leaning toward the cheaper GTX670.
The main thing that killed COD for me was lack of dedicated servers. It's a game where even a tiny amount of lag will cause the game to be extremely annoying. Last good ones were I think COD4 and COD WaW, but the servers are pretty empty these days.
Looks like it's a bit split between GTX 670 and GTX 960.
As for games I'd like to play, well I'd like to play anything really, the GTX460 is just starting to drop down to "minimum required" for many games now, I'd like to get back in to the medium to high range. I've started avoiding certain...
G'day all,
I'm considering upgrading the old beast to get sexier graphics in games.
I can grab a 2GB GTX670 for $209AUD (for comparison, a 2GB GTX960 is $280-300AUD, a 4GB GTX960 is $330+). The GTX670 is just old stock (hopefully the store hasn't sold it yet!).
Do you think that would...
You could maybe have it as a side point in the conclusion, I wouldn't bother putting it in the main review. Price varies a bit too much for it to be an overly useful metric, and it's only going to be useful for NA users anyway.
I quite enjoyed rage. Though I didn't pick it up when new, I got it on sale for like $5-10 (can't remember, something dirt cheap). It is short, but it captured my attention enough to actually play it through, which most games these days fail to do.
It's not a masterpiece or anything, but it's a...
