The best part is that every expansion they claim they will not let the content be stale for that long again (check WotLK ICC)..yet here we are, with an incredible long time with no updates. Really need to pump out some stuff quicker.
Great advice renny. Thank you for your time in replying to my threads, lol. Well- if I'm looking for a setup that would last for awhile and not just be a patch fix, should I just poney up for the 4690K? I don't mind spending money and not just buying crap.
Or is the 2500K good enough to aim for?
Well, I was looking at the prices for 970 vs. 990 boards and they are pretty close. Maybe I'll do some more research on 970 boards and see what I can find. I'm not looking to CrossFire.
Fry's is close, Microcenter is not (Fort Worth, TX). Overclocking is definitely on the table..without a...
$300, flexible, and gaming
System hard freezes. Sometimes BSODs. Not a driver issue, only an issue with the R9(maybe other series) series of cards. I've heard reports that the 700 chipset doesn't get along with them and that the PCI-E 2.0 slot acts funky under the stress of the card.
EDIT...
Hi guys,
I'm looking to upgrade my AMD 1090t CPU and MSI 790gx motherboard since my R9 290x isn't stable with the AMD700 chipset. What would be a good bang/buck upgrade? I would like to keep my RAM, SSD, R9 290x, etc. Just looking to buy a new motherboard/CPU/CPU cooler and get a justified...
This actually has been working (knock on wood). I've only tried it for a hour or so, but no freezes. One BSOD, so who knows. Well - it works..somewhat. Had one freeze while internet browsing but no freezes during gaming.
Found this on a Linux forum:
Looks like I'm now shopping for a new mobo/CPU combination. What is the best bang/buck these days coming from an AMD 1090t x6?
Have tried both this evening, just found the switch a few hours ago. I was hopefully when I first switched it, but 30mins later --- BOOM. Hard freeze.
Ran a chkdsk for giggles and it came back clean. Will try MemTest overnight...but I'm starting to think I need to RMA this card...again??
Restored everything to default in bios and still freezing. Freezing during browsing, during no browsing, during idle. I did leave my computer on overnight on the Windows 7 user login screen (not logged in) and it didn't freeze...
Not sure what's going on. Windows 7 is up-to-date, using...
Well, still no luck. Dialed back on over lock, upped voltages, and the system still hard freezes randomly. Tonight I will try the default settings..I was being stubborn thinking I could tune it.
Had issues with my 290x Bf4 edition, so I did the following to troubleshoot:
-RMA'd the card. Got a brand new Sapphire 290x Tri-X OC. Only hitting 35-42 idling, fan usage 20%
-Upgraded PSU to EVGA Nova G2 750W
-Completely uninstalled all old drivers and installed new AMD drivers...
The thing about labor points is they make you choose between actions. I've been playing on Alpha (so Patron LP regen) and haven't had any issues being LP restricted. They exist to make actions more valuable and as another source of currency. I like them.
Wildstar has an INSANE amount of content for launch. I didn't think housing was going to be deep, but it has a lot of depth to it. I trust Carbine ten fold over Blizzard. Blizzard just doesn't pump out content fast enough anymore. The big feature of WoD is "garrisons", but they aren't even as...
Favorite quote of the year. Zorachus, I like your humor.
But really, I would be MORE entertained if we were fetching dicks, balls, and rectums rather than 10 "mystical Starcraft orbs from Bangladesh"
I'm exciting about going to Draenor, but besides Garrisons..there is no new unique content. They said they want to speed up the leveling process, so we will level 100 quicker. Then do what? Raid, raid, raid, dungeon, etc.
I'm kind of disappointed in this expansion's content. No new classes...
The thing is, Blizzard is CRANKING out content for WoW at a rapid pace. Most of the content is tuned well and is at least time consuming. The only thing that will kill WoW is when Blizz shuts the servers down.
Haha, AV is going to suck in a lot of money with this re-re-re-re-re-release. Maybe if the Darkfall game and IP is sold to another company I would be interested.
It's because there's a carrot on the end of a stick. There's always the allure of being "better, stronger, awesomer". Why play a game for hours and hours if your character isn't any better than the guy next to you (forget levels).
The game is actually remarkably balanced as is. The devs do a wonderful job in that regard. The only thing I'm unhappy with is the current state of old champions (Karma, Heim..) that have been left on the ignore list for years now.
Riot at #10...thats too low. What Riot has done with the free-to-play system is remarkable and outstanding. They are also advancing and promoting e-sports to uncharted territories (especially in the US)
Could be good..but AV has such a terrible track record and they are extremely unprofessional. There is no pricing information of any kind for the game. Much of the basic "business acumen" is lacking, but they are unique in their approach to MMOs.
That being said, I will check out the game when...
