Bad news for those who ordered from PCNation (myself included)... just read from ASUS's official forum:
http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?50651-The-real-reason-you-cant-get-a-ROG-Swift-in-NA!&p=428694&viewfull=1#post428694
Frankly, I don't understand why ASUS didn't take pre-orders directly and ship from Taiwan or China. That's how Apple and Lenovo does it: take orders online, then ship them individually via UPS or FedEx.
G-Sync at 60Hz is not the same as normal 60Hz monitor. Every one of those 60 frames (per second) in G-Sync are displayed when the GPU renders them. Compared to normal 60Hz monitor displaying each frame between 0 to 1/60th of a second later, or with image tear. G-Sync will be "butter" smooth...
adobepro ... thanks for sharing your experience. It reminds me of my own ordeal with HP LP2475w (also LG IPS panel), which I had to exchange 5 TIMES! Most of them had pink / green tinting from right to left side of the screen. Sounds like LG minimized the tinting issue to just the bottom...
Spawn on squad mates driving a tank or destroyer. Always work together with other players. A couple of tanks with chopper support, moving together as a group, goes a long way on all maps, not just AK.
I recall reading another [H] user having similar problem with Galaxy rebate, hence the title "Another". Searching "Galaxy rebate" in the forum yield no result, after another 10 minutes of looking, I gave up and posted.
I think the problem is that, on many boxes of Galaxy video cards, the UPC...
Amazon started charging CA sales tax on 9/15/2012.
Here is an interesting tidbit on Amazon's CA sales tax. The two CA cities where Amazon locates their warehouses are kicking back to Amazon a major portion (40% or more) of the sales tax collected.
My Galaxy GTX 670 GC rebate was declined this morning for:
- Original UPC Barcode Label (#845735001386) (Not the shipping label barcode) is missing
which is ridiculous, as the UPC lable is clearly shown in their scanned copy:
What's wrong with it!? Everyone who bought their Galaxy...
I have a GTX 570 and a GTX 670. Temperature wise, the 6xx series is noticeably cooler than 5xx, so I'd choose a GTX 660 non-Ti over GTX 570, if the price difference is less than $100.
FYI, I ordered this card yesterday monring, received it today, and the Borderland code also arrived in email this morning. Just need to fill-out the rebate now. Thanks OP!!!
The ASUS GeForce GTX 660Ti DirectCU II video card is built to impress. Its DIGI+VRM digital power design is better than traditional analog power regulator. Overclock or not, this card is more stable and power efficient than other brands of GTX 600 Ti. The heat pipes and double fans on this...
Admit they made a pricing error, instead of claiming:
1) item out of stock
2) CC authorization failed
They send me two separate emails claiming 1) and 2). Both are lies.
Yup. They are lying. They have the laptops, even now. Just search for B2A84UTABA at TheNerds. Perhaps they can't legally say that they made a pricing mistake in Florida without serious consequences, so they lied.
Kudos to Adorama's handling of this. TheNerds, on the other hand, it will...
Not true. The credit card agreement clearly specify the way finance charges (interest) are calculated. You shouldn't have signed up for the credit account that doesn't work in your favor.
Here is my theory. TheNerds has an automated program that periodically adjust its pricing to match its competitors. When Adorama made a pricing mistake, a few hours later TheNerds blindly followed. I believe TheNerds actually had these laptops in stock, as shown by each order decreasing the...
Received two conflicting emails from TheNerds:
"Unfortunately we were unable to get an authorization on your credit card and your order has been cancelled."
and
"Currently we are out of stock on one of the products you've ordered. Because www.thenerds.net does not believe in holding our...
Only if the interest is calculated from "adjusted balance", which is not the most common. If you carry a balance already and the interest is calculated from "average daily balance" or "previous balance", then you will be paying interest even if they refund you within 30 days.
The green-pink tint will NOT improve with time. If you're sensitive to it (as I am), then you best get rid of that monitor. Otherwise it will irk you everyday, as you notice the tint.
$300?
Yup... in about 10 months, when GK110 comes out. And GK104 (aka GTX 680) will be rebranded GTX 760, while GK110 will be GTX 780 & 770. But by then, you will want to buy a GTX 770 instead of GTX 760. And GTX 770 won't be $300, probably $450. Why must NVIDIA toy with us like this!?
Don't kid yourself. Cruicial M4 is much more reliable than OCZ drives. I just had a Vertex 2 die on me this week. Considering the hassle, lost work time, and shipping costs for RMA, I'd gladly pay the extra $20 for Crucial M4.
FYI... Two days ago Amazon had this for $179.99 + free shipping + no CA tax, which is less than Buy.com $169.95 + CA tax. I jumped on it and now it's out of stock.
