I think it's all or nothing. Either it bounces off, or it roadkills you if it is going fast enough.

Yeah, agreed. Or, make it more realistic and have the MAV get destroyed if it runs into things at high speed.

And for those who are bound to ask, the girl is a porn actress, goes by the name of Ariel and is drop dead gorgeous.
 
talked to matros on twitter, says they are working hard on Feb patch, and he would like to do a presss release abou tit(didnt say why they havent, sounds like there might be something going on at DICE beyond Barry Tingle leaving?) and he has no idea WHEN the announcement is going to be made but acknowledged its existence, and didnt deny it

Mostly when it's something like Metro 64 - on the other maps I feel like you can strike out and do your own thing, but getting squashed at spawn with zero assistance to get around and cap a flag behind is painful. Then you just have to go recon and snipe your way to the end of the round.

Noooooo. Don't do this. I lose it when my team starts doing this. Switch to assault and lay down smoke so your team can move around a bit. Try and get a few people to do this so you can spread the smoke around. Sometimes it really does get hopeless, but that happens less often than people think.

I agree with you if your team isn't TOTAL crap, but so often it devolves into attempting to get up the side or center and dying (continuously) while no one follows your lead/supports. I agree that going recon and just sitting around won't help forward momentum/pressure, but when it gets properly hopeless I can't help it!

Game is still freezing. I tried following solutions found in the internet:
1. Deletet Catalisys Control Center
2. Disabled UAC
3. Put all graphical settings to LOW

PS: Game worked well last year with exactly same computer. This year it just freezes. Grrrrrrrrrrr..... I gues it could be BF3 patch or ATI driver update that caused that.

I fixed my freezing computer. I did:
- Re installed Windows
- Fixed RAM timings in BIOS

It looks like wrong RAM timings ion Bios were the reason for BF3 to freeze. Now everything is fine :)
 
I saw some people running through my claymore mines and not dying after myne explosions. How is that possible?
 
If I go squad FLAK I have bunny hopped over a claymore and lived.....low low health but have done it.

Not sure if that's why, but I hit one yesterday (on some stairs) and didn't die. I was at 0% health though, so it may have been a bug.

I have to ask though...

What res are you running? I'm completely surprised a C2D can run BF3 at all.

1920x1200 on low settings and 16xAA - everything is silky smooth. I was actually surprised myself.

Sure, I needed to do some extra things like:
1. Play from SSD
2. Overclocked CPU to 3.2
3. Kill all unneeded processes
4. Switch off Windows Aero
5. Set BF3 process priority above average


This makes it very playable on C2D. I even see no reason to upgrade to i5

Same thing happened to me, came up the middle escalator on Metro and hopped - claymore went off and i was at 0%. Have had it happen a few other times though on like Bazar etc.
 
Well I'll be damned.. I think I actually fixed my crash to desktop issue. I run ati tray tools so i can have my fps counter in the top right corner. I closed ati tray tools from the notification icons and actually managed to finally play single player (which would always crash to desktop)
 
Woot Woot. Finally got my DICE Developer dog tags. I found a couple of DICE guys on and decided to go for ulfred71. We were playing Metro on a German server, so I wasn't sure how that was going to work out. Either way, same scenario as usual, they had captured "B" and we were stuck w/ "C". Didn't think it we were going to end the stale mate and then I decided to just start flooding everywhere w/ smoke grenades. After my 6th or 7th death...lol...I finally broke free on the last stair case and had my squad spawn on me.

My other squad mates were also looking for the DICE tags. I wasn't sure of their names but they kept chatting about ulfred71. :) So I knew we had the same goal in mind. So we captured "A" and I started working my way back towards "B" to find him and the rest of the enemies. I went into the hallway on the west side of the map, and knifed about 5 people back to back. It was actually kind of funny as I was thinking....knifed..not him...knifed...not him...etc. I didn't think we were going to find him...then finally one my squad mates chatted about him being back at "A" trying to capture the flag. So we all ran back there and after accidentally killing him a few times w/ the FAMAS (I get itchy finger), I finally knifed him w/ his side to my front on the brick stairs. He was actually surprised as he said he saw me knife him facing forward. Either way, worked out well for me. :D

After that, I was getting ready to knife him again, but he turned around and we got into a pistol fight. But the good thing is, one of my sqaud mates was behind him and went in for the knife. So it was a good night.

Thought you guys might like the story as these things are hard to get. :D
 
they need a votekick system BADLY.

Last night I was on an iO9 server... usually pretty good servers, never seen any cheaters. We had two noob fucks each locking an entire squad that each only had 2 people. Keep in mind this is a 64 man server and its FULL.

So two squads are useless - and there are about 8 or 10 people who are not squadded up on our team. Total waste. I'm not professional level player, but I do know teamwork is important in this game. I hate the fucks that just waltz into a game and think its call of duty and think the lone wolf crap works.

Any news on the next patch coming down or what would be in the next DLC pack? I hate DLC, however BF3 is one game I don't mind paying for DLC since its really the only thing I play.

Either it's your OC or the new Nvidia drivers.
Make sure your PC is stable and roll back to the 290.53 driver. You can also try reinstalling the BL plug-in(delete the folder).

I suggest everyone to look what your squad mates are selected as an upgrade and select a different one.

Not really, you could have been at 0.4% health or something, it just doesn't show decimals.
