Meh my 8800gtx idle'd at 63 deg and hit 76 on most games.. Thermalright HR-03 + HR-11 it idles at 46 deg and gets up to 63 under full load hahaha.. Chips can handle it these days and with a bit of cooling they are fine

I had the same probelm with my DS2R and E8400.. Ran 4.4ghz all day long for months.. Changed it and it wouldn't go back.. Replaced the motherboard and all is fine now.

Only reason I'd go back is if I felt I had to spend too much on a PC.. Other than that I'm happy with my DS2R, E8400 @ 4ghz, 2x2gb axeram, 8800gtx :) I have a huge ammount of over the top cooling and about 8 fans and noise still isn't bad so I'd say you will have no problems there. Do...

Yea I was supprised. I bought the HR-03 and HR-11 with no clue as to if it would fit at all. Then I noticed the PCI slot would still be free and put the sondcard there! Works out perfectly :)

Tried that and no it doesn't actually, it's better pulling the cooler outside air in over the heatsink rather than pulling the hot air off the back of the GTX and general hot case air over the heatsink and out :) Cheers

Hmm.. I think it could be the ram after all that. I tried booting 4.0 off my E8400 on another set of ram I have and it worked fine and stable on auto mem settings.. But the axeram that was in the system NOW needs to be manually timed to boot almost any OC.. When before it would boot from auto...

Relax the mem timings manually and you'll be fine.

More than likely it will be a later bios.. Sorry I'm not sure if the early bios's support the 45nm or not.. try pm pvhk, he's the man with this board and many others.

Just update teh bios man.. I bought mine over a year ago and it had F4.. my mate bought one 2 weeks ago and it had F7... Chances are you will have F7 if you bought one thats just come into stock and it takes 30 sec to update the bios with the program supplied on the CD.

Have you discovered the max teh e8400 can hit on this board pvhk? Lovin it :)

I have a Matx mobo that did the same, tried the onboard graphics and still no bios screen... Checked power everware on the board and that was fine, reset the cmos but still no boot screen.. Time pronounced dead: xx:xx
