Ok I admit it, Nvidias naming scheming starts to be too much, atleast for me. Less knowing consumer is going to get burned with this stuff, and I thought that Nvidia is going to make its product line clearer
Some cool stuff at techpowerup! forums. Heres a guide how you can pencil mod your 3870/3850 to go faster.
3870/3850 pencil mod
ps. Realize this is bit old, but in case if anybody missed it.
8800GT new reference cooler
Well not much to say really, everybody knows the original 8800GT cooler is not good enough for the job.
edit:
Whatta heck, I swear I posted this under Nvidia sub forum, guess I did´t.
Nvidia to miss out on holiday sales
To sum the story up quickly, it basicly suggests that 8800GT is going to be very rare card during holidays. Better get one quick if your still hesitating or you might end up with 3870 ;)
Just noticed this news at Tech Report and atleast I have not read anything like this happening before. Seems to be a know issue, wonder why this has not been discussed here or I have just completely missed the discussion.
Random slowdown bug plagues GeForce 8800 cards
Just read pretty disturbing review about Radeon 2600/2400 in which the review had extensive video playback evaluation too. Here is the review: Techreports 2600/2400 review
The strange part is in the video playback evaluation where 2600/2400 are pitted against 8600/8500:

Could not think a good thread name for this one, but intresting to see how big contrast there is between the two companies. Story here:
Nvidia threatens with a lawsuit
So if I understood correctly, according to Nvidia, all those sites providing .inf modded driver packages are criminals...
I dunno about you, but to me those 4 DVI outputs look spicy and so does the coolers :)
Also these cards can be deacent performers, if 2900 xt showed us something, it was that Crossfire has becomed much better with R600.
Sapphire dual hd 2600
Gecube dual hd 2600
Well topic says it all. Enjoy the pics :)
Radeon HD2600XT Pictures
ps. Must say the lack of external power connector (80W power usage) and beefy cooler looks good to me. Could this be another 1950pro for the masses, lets hope.
Edit:
Seems like the pictures are from HD2600Pro and not the XT...
Iam building a setup for my friend which has 2 x 22" and 2 x 17" tft monitors. I was thinking about getting a Asus M2R32 motherboard and couple 1650pro cards to provide the picture for these monitors.
The question is about hydravision software. I have never used the software before, anything...
Yep looks like there is going to be one final X1900 card before R600.
From your favorite source naturally: R580+
Basicly it´s exactly what Nvidia did with 7900, smaller die shrink to run it cooler and maybe with bit higher clocks. Now that Vista and DX10 have been pushed to 2007 january...
