Do you guys install your OS with or without overclocking your CPU? Heard someone say that it's best to OC after. I'm of course referring to when you know what your stable OC is.

Anyone find out how to disable v-sync in the game with ATI cards? The input lag and dips are driving me crazy :(

After a couple of days playing a few games I must admit that the difference between my old 8800GT and this 4870 isn't that great. I do see a difference but it's minimal IMO

When you're used to the S1 with a 700rpm 120mm fan...yes it is ;) I managed to install it however...idles at 44-48 Celsius in a closed closet

Just received my 4870 and was wondering if the old S1 I used on my 8800GT would fit the 4870. The holes do line up but the AC site says that only the Rev. 2 will fit.

No as soon as the matrix driver is installed it´ll stay there even though the chipset driver is installed

Just a quick question regarding Intel's Matrix software... I'm running 3 single SATAII drives @ AHCI on an ICH9R controller. Intel states that I should install their Matrix software when using AHCI but the actual driver inside is older than the one you get in their chipset driver pack...

My rig is situated inside a closed cabinet...it gets pretty hot

Just received my Inno3D 8800GT OC... Default fan speed is 45% (2500 RPM) idle temp 47 degrees :confused:

I kept the one on the left... I couldn't stand the brownish tint on gray colors. Looks much different IRL than on the fotos. The warm one is from march and GTMV 1.4 The other june and GTMV 1.6 I also noticed that the warm one had a yellow tint in every corner.

The brightness does mess it up a little as the H ss is much more brown IRL. What bothers my is that, as you say yourself, the colors on the warm one looks more vibrant except when you look at gray colors. My friend has got a w2207 so I think I'm gonna go watch his. Thanks

I have two of these beauties and one of them has to go back but I can't decide! I've included a few screens. They are quite different when it comes to colors as one is warmer than the other. I kind of like the colors that one produces but sometimes grey has a brownish tint to it as you can...

If one were to buy either an X2 4600+ or E6400 and had the choice between the following identical priced modules and would NOT be OC'ing which would you choose and why? 2x1GB PC4200 CL4 or 2x1GB PC5300 CL5 timings or bandwidth? and does it differ on the two platforms?

I'm about to install the above motherboard but am confused about the ATA settings. BIOS allows me to select either PATA mode or AHCI for SATA drives. Which do I choose? I'm running four Seagate 7200.8 NCQ SATA drives. Thanks

I finally decided to get the accelero... Idle temps went down from 55 to 45 and load from 80-90 to about 75. Funny thing though. My case temp didn't go up more then one degree. I'm happy

Yeah....that's one of my concerns too but at least it doesn't concentrate the heat down towards the motherboard like the AC cooler.

They'll probably come of with some alcohol of some sort. I just don't like the idea of all that hot air pouring down on my already "half-way-to-hell" hot A8N32-SLI
