Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The probably is less about money and more about space. I have an old receiver, but it only has 1 input on it. I would like something that is going to take the least amount of space. I think piako has the right idea.
I don't have room for a receiver, 5 speakers and a sub. I just want something simple and not to expensive. If I could keep the price under $75 that would be awesome. I appreciate your suggestions.
Does anybody know of a decent set of speakers (2.0 or 2.1 setup) that has 2 audio inputs on it? I have seen some that have a usb and a 1/8' jack, but they are all meant for laptops and I am afraid the sound might suffer because of the size and intended use. I appreciate the help.
I found a way to check the version in the media center program. But, I have now discovered a new problem. When I open media center (this is the first time I have tried to use it) I receive an error message that says, "files needed to display video are not installed or not working correctly."...
I have been trying to figure this one out for a while and have yet to find a satisfactory answer. When I go into system properties it show I am running Media Center Edition 2002 sp2, but when I look at the sticker on the bottom of my laptop it show Media Center Edition 2005. Did Toshiba pull a...
The picture format is jpeg and it does not matter if I am trying to view pictures taken with my camera or if I copy pictures from my hard drive to the XD card. I have only tried jpeg images because that is all I care about. I have checked with the manufacturer of the laptop (Toshiba) and...
I have a strange issue. Every time I try to open a picture from my XD card using quicktime my computer locks up. I can open the picture with any other picture viewing program with no issues. If I copy the picture to my hard drive first then quicktime will open it just fine. I have found no...
Your most likely going to have to replace the entire keyboard. I have tried to order them from HP when I was working for a certified HP repair shop and they will only send the complete keyboard.
I have a problem. I have disabled all the security settings on my router. I am trying to connect my brand new laptop wirelessly and windows keeps telling me that the router has security enabled and asks for the passkey. If anybody can tell me what I am doing wrong that would be greatly...

I have had this one for a few months and have had no problems with it. The range is stated at 30 feet. I have been able to use at 15+ feet, but then the monitor is hard to see. The mouse works like a regular optical mouse or...

Here's a Toshiba that seems to be a pretty good price; although, the memory will have to be upgraded.
There is a lot of false logic in what you said. Not one thing you said about the RAM, HDD, or CPU tells you (or anyone) that the hardware is in perfect working order. I will admit though that it sounds like a simple overheating problem. Do what the others have said.
I hope you have done the obvious, like checking for spyware and viruses. I usually do this with at least 2 spyware and 2 virus programs since they each are better at finding certain things. Have you checked your memory? Ran chkdsk?
Did you do anything to the computer between now and the last time you played a DVD on it (ie. uninstalled applications, added hardware, etc...). Or have you ever played a DVD on it?
you might need to go into display properties, click on the settings tab and click on the advanced tab. Some where in there should be an option, but it will vary depending on the video card and the only one I am familiar with is ATI.
The way I did it was break a computer or two and then I took a couple of classes at the local community college. I would highly recommend taking classes because when talking to people about computers I can definetly tell the difference between people who know about comoputers and people who...
Boot off of the discwizard CD and from there you should be able to set up the drive and copy over any partitions you have on other harddrives. For some reason I have had better luck copying partitions in windows but it shoud work if you boot off the CD.
you can always contact the manufacturer of the router. They all have 800 numbers you can call and they will walk you through setting everything up. I have done this with linksys a couple of times and once with belkin. They were both able to get me up and running.
I own an Olympus Stylus 600 (which is basically a step down from that one) and the only complaint I have about it is the fact that it takes XD memory cards. The XD card cost ~twice as much as the SD cards. The camera takes good pictures and worked well the couple of times I was taking...
