Having some trouble with my computer and was looking for some advice, for some reason whenever I open some programs or do something like trying to extract with winrar it takes forever and sometimes just freezes up, i've scanned for spyware and viruses and nothing came up, was just wondering what else I should try or if anyone knows what might be causing this.

How much space do you have left on drive C: ?

75gb

Possibly a memory problem, try testing the memory.

I suspect something is in your system that isnt desirable.
Its worth checking what programs load on startup (amongst other things...).
Get Autoruns and see what it brings up.

Dont get rid of anything you are unsure of as you can bork your system.
Ask here if stuck.

how long since you've done a complete reinstall of XP?

I do this every 3 months, helps a lot of speed problems.

Don't really see anything out of the ordinary with that autorun program.
