Video capturing gameplay using FRAPS makes gameplay very choppy/unplayable using a single core chip. Now this should be a whole different story using a dual core chip such as an X2, right? I'm in the middle of putting together my X2 rig and was just curious about it. My specs: 4400 X2 Asus...

Aldoria, did you have trouble fitting your Plextor drive into the case?

Does the neo-flex arm seem pretty safe for a glass desk or should I sandwich the glass with something prior to installing the arm?

I have my 2405 set to stand-by after 10 minutes. What's DPMS, is that the samething as setting the monitor to go on the stand-by?

I got a perfect monitor, 0 dead pixels. I even triple checked it to make sure. :)

Connected through DVI... I have the colors set to: red: 36 green: 33 blue: 32 brightness: 0 contrast (using ATi control panel): 0 or 25 Having brightness set to 0 and contrast to 0 seems pretty odd, but it's perfect through using DiplayMate.

I just got this monitor and it's running pretty warm. Is that normal?

I don't think you're the only one with that problem. Over a neowin.net some guy posted a picture of his workstation and he had a little stack of post-it notes under the right side of the stand to level it out.

I called them the other day and the info they gave me is bascially the same info we get when looking at our order status, and that's pretty retarded.

Bah :mad: I ordered a 2405fpw last week on Thursday (the 16th) and they still haven't shipped it. Their estimated ship day is tomorrow (the 24th) and from that ship day it should arrive in 3-5 days.

I don't think I'm going to recieve my 2405 this week. I called Dell and they said they'll shipped it out this Friday and that I should get it 3-5 days from Friday. This sucks. I wanna play with it already. :(

Well you don't have to use a screensaver. You can just set the monitor to go on standby after a set period of time. Edit: What exactly did you use as your background wallpaper? post it.

what happens when you select "Force 720p mode" or "Force" 1080i mode"? Does the 2405 go into either 720p mode or 1080i mode?

When you say, "the aspect ratio isn't correct either." ... are you saying that when playing a game in 720p there will be black bars on the on the sides or does the game appear distorted? I'm planning to get a 2405 for PC use aswell as Xbox360 use and I just wanna make sure I won't be...

I'd also like some feedback about LCD TVs aswellm, since I'm planning to get for use with PC and gaming. I'm looking at this model right now. 12ms response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, but only 1360x768 when connect to PC. I don't mind using my computer at that res, only if the text is clear...
