Decent, although note 1024x768 res. I'm one of those who doesn't think res is nearly as important as picture quality - despite paying up for a 45" Sharp LCD - but not good as a Half Life 2 monitor.

My only objection to the X800XL is that the versions that periodically get down to great price/performance ratios when they're on sale are always the DVI/VGA version, not the 2x DVI. I like dual monitors. :)

Decent deal. You do occasionally see 17" ones drop into the high $100 range and I'm sure that will progress. I'm tempted to get one for Mother's Day but think I'll hold off for now.

Arrgh...tempting. Anyone with ins with Nvidia know if we're going to see price cuts on the 6800 lines (given the X800XL) in the next month or so? I've got some time before I get my Tyan dualie setup going so I can wait...

One thing to keep in mind - the lower priced X800XLs (like this one) are all VGA/DVI outputs - $40-50 more and its 2 DVIs. Not that its a big deal for most people but given how cheap 20" LCDs are getting I'm planning on doing a 2 monitor setup sometime soon. :)
