BF-BC2 - Post your vital statistics...

Nice amounts of kills with the UAV, I really need to practice using it. Any tips as I'm useless?

I think Filthy Fernandez is the resident pro on the UAV here. I started using it more once I learned the trick with pairing optics with UAV. I've got more than 400 kills with it now and very close to platinum on air vehicles.

Keeping your UAV high and as far away as possible from the enemies will keep your UAV alive much longer, but you won't get as many kills. What I usually try to do is to use the untravellable areas to run my UAV through so that I can get around to the other side of the map. Oftentimes, the enemy will not look into the air behind their spawn. That's typically the best place to rest your UAV. I'm still trying to get 20 kills with one UAV vehicle. I've done 15+ twice.

Yep, uav + optics is the way to go. I get a lot of shit from teammates everytime since they think I'm just hiding the uav at our spawn point doing nothing. The guy that single-handedly takes out both mcom's get no respect I tell ya... no respect! lol

lol congrats!

Thanks. I'm just glad it's not like an MMO where you're still trying to get items for your character after you maxed your level.

Leaving home for the next two weeks or so. I'm hoping that's going to be enough to get me off this game so I can be a little more productive with my life. :D

Congrats on getting to 50 in good time too.

I know what you mean though, 200 hours in and I'm still playing regularly

I actually went away to Portugal for a 2 week break and ended up coming home after 3 days as the place was a dump. Back playing hard again, sign.

Good luck being more productive ;)

yeah, still play a couple hours a day when I can. Seems like these last few levels are taking forever. Currently 47.

Getting close to level 50

Finally got 1000 kills with the knife, despite it being as effective as a sponge finger half the time !

i've warmed up to the AUG. very fun to use :)

I've finally warmed up to the AUG, I use it with Marksman perk. It now feels very similar to the M416, recoil and spray much improved. Just takes and extra bullet to down someone.

Heh, I love these graphics. :D

Bit embarrassed the CG and M60 are my 1 and 2. I have 14 other platinums - honest!

Can anyone top my amount of shivs on [H]ard ?

How is skill level calculated?

I believe it is calculated in relation to the rank of player that you kill and vice versa. So in effect you could go up in skill level with more deaths than kills as long as you are killing > rank than you are currently at. ELO?

I'm sure there is a less empirical way of calculating this or better explaination somewhere but that's the way I understood it.

The skill level in game has been broken for a long time however, I use the skill level indicator on the BFBC2 stats site instead.

I'm getting close - almost 1K now....977 knife kills - 846 unique.

Plat on the knife, nade, gustav, AEK-971, M16A2, Aug, Stiga 20K, and the Heavy Vehicle.

Code:
Kit stats (at level 25)
Name	Score	Kills	Deaths	K/D Ratio
Assault	47,663	473	709	0.67
Eng	50,709	395	497	0.79
Medic 72,216 457 892 0.51
Recon 39,433 393 639 0.62

Improved a lot since level 25 and workin on getting that KD up too.

Quit when I hit level 50 on June 14th.

But you'll have closer to 2,000 shanks when you hit 50.

Did the knifing get fixed with the last patch? I quit right before it happened.

Stabbing is more reliable now. It still doesn't work sometimes, stabbed a guy twice the other night and saw the blood splash but no kill (R15 server?) Thankfully this is a rare occurence since the last patch

thanks!

Platinum with 870 shotgun. very nice as well!

and yes, the knife was fixed. still kinda glitchy though. stabs in the back work now.

Cheers, I love the 870. If you find a good server with decent hit detection it's fearsome. You can take a squad out with four shots if you surprise them. Nelson Bay in particilar is great fun with a shotgun. Bouncing between the mogals and rocks. I use it with slugs and magnum ammo.

I've moved to the N-2000 now, it's probably even better than the 870. It just looks a bit odd!

I prefer to headshot people in the head instead of knifing now. Here's my old dogtag factory soldier I don't play anymore.

jesus, the soldier you used as a 'dogtag factory' and no longer play is at level 49?

about 300 tags :(

Congrats on getting to 50. The AN-94 must be hot as hell by now ;)

What score do you need to get to level 50 - 5400000 or 5600000? If 5400000 I estimate it'll take me another 80 - 90 hours.

Yea its pretty pathetic. But oh well I have fun anyway!

Refreshing to see someone posting a more 'moderate' score.

Just keep at it, learn the maps, get comfortable with a weapon and don't beat yourself up and the scores will come...

Pretty cool. Interesting to see some easy-to-understand visualisation of just how much everything I do has started sucking since I started going for gold on all the guns (especially accuracy): http://bfbcs.com/stats_pc/GEOFF LEPPARD/history

Yeah, it's a nice addition to the BFBC2 stats site.

Too many drunk nights playing will effect your accuracy too, not just going for the golds! ;) Played last night after drinking a whole bottle of wine and I was terrible, couldn't hit a barn door from 2 yards.

Where have you been anyway? Haven't seen you online for ages.

My connection gets shafted over the weekend, and housemates downloading stuff only exacerbates it, so from friday to sunday tend to play Borderlands or something.

And you're right, but playing after you've been out is often even more fun.
