forgetting about log-in issues and graphics, anyone actually like the game?
Yeah I am finding the game to be very fun.

It's not fun at all when the game doesn't look well enough to justify the performance issues.
The game doesn't really look great, at least to me. I don't care usually, but when my performance sucks this much there's no reason for me to struggle with $800 worth of GPUs.
Now, If I'm lucky I have to wait months for a game I paid for to actually run smooth, assuming they even do something about this.

Man what year is it?ATI cards
Watch Dogs is a hot mess on PC, stay away for now.

lol@ that review.
Claims to want to play on the most powerful machine in his house. I'd say his PC doesn't hold that title with the specs he listed.
Any one know if there is a memory leak in watchdogs. if i play for a few hours it gets progressively more laggy. but if i close WD and open it again it goes away for a few hours.
also that dof issue i was having was a bug since i can't get it happen again.
I have a similar issue with the keyboard getting stuck in a direction. A quick tap of the key seems to fix it. I think it is a bug. I've never had any issues with the keyboard getting stuck and windows isn't throwing up any red flags.
The game we were all hoping for is not the game we have. I still find aspects of it enjoyable, but most of the side missions don't have much incentive to pursue. The collectibles, much like what's in inFamous, have captured my attention. I can't say much about the main story missions, so I'm hoping to gain some satisfaction.

It's like it has flashes of fun, then you notice something else is missing from the game. Getting invaded is more annoying than fun as you're on a mission that you really wanted to do, and now you're stuck hunting some guy down. Well at least that's how I feel now. Maybe I'll get burned out of chasing criminals on foot and appreciate it more later on. Chasing criminals on foot is the only thing that doesn't stutter.
That's by design?I hate hunting down criminals & while I'm trying to catch them before they commit a crime, they spot me.
learnt is how the british spell learned...

I take it you guys are not Dark Souls fans...the invasion aspect sounds like the most fun in my opinion...of course they're going to invade you when you least want them to...that's what 'invaders' do...if they only invaded you on your terms then it would be kinda dumb
It would be better if you could interrupt crimes and get the same bonuses, yeah. But I think the system is designed to encourage you to use stealth tactics to get close to the target and to make sure you're able to observe the actual crime sequence. It would appear so, but I don't get much joy from the whole process.

Well, when you put it that way...
Game of the Year 2014.

I spent about 4 hours just walking in downtown Chicago hacking people, listening to convos, admiring the dynamic events, etc.Ya i gave up on that stupid take down mission just wasn't worth my time. but for missions like that i suggest getting an armored car and just run all of the baddies over and then take down the guys you been to.
If you don't feel like hacking people endlessly for money just upgrade your money hacking skill as much as you can. i did that and now i get 1500-15000 of every person i hack so now i don't have to constantly search for people .
Ya i thought it was interesting for the first hour or 2. but it gets old after a while.
The convoy missions are easily the most ridiculous in the game. Ubi Montreal seems to confuse frustration with challenge.
There's a lot of emphasis on frustration as challenge in this game. Some really awful, brainless design in that respect.
Mafia was such a badass game.
Those are my most least favorite missions. They aren't frustrating at all
1. Get fast car
2. Full speed head on collision with the car you need to take down
3. Run over survivor
4. Escape the chase team
It's so stupidly simple and boring
Have you actually played a Convoy mission? That's not how they work at all. Read my long rant above for details.
TL;DR is that there are multiple armed targets who you can't actually kill, but can only take down once they jump out of the car and start shooting at you.
