Still have not defeated Hyperius... tried 7 times now. What an absolute bastard he is. Really dislike the mechanic of global AoE attack that you can not shield against or dodge in any way. What a silly idea Gearbox.

Using legendary weapons, such as Infinity and legendary shield and class mod.. no bee yet. I can not wait to find that damn shield! I guess I need a baby maker and more Max Health.

don't know your class but you can hide behind the pipe on the left. it will protect you for a short time, then if soldier or zero throw your stuff on the other side of the pipe. I think the 5 second baby maker video was faked, I have tried multiples and they just do not work fast enough. To get the robots use singularity slag grenades, it will cluster them (and with zero's bore skill it is an easy kill). The problem though is once dude's support is gone or he is at about 1/3rd health he will jump attack you and then his AoE repeatedly. At that point a babymaker + 33% second wind time may allow you to get him. And some people have posted about using teslas. Done that, don't bother. Think those are also fake. Anyway I hope you kept the sand hawk smg from the dlc, that is one of the best for the sheer number of bullets it puts out. I use that with the bee shield and bore skill and slag singularities and it is still difficult.

If you can stand up to those extra robots you can use them to block line of sight from the nova he does.

i just noticed my challenges change when toggling between PT1 and PT2 mode. is that normal? i thought the challenges counted whether you got them in PT1 or PT2?

been trying a new strategy, infinity gun, sheriffs badge, pirate dlc shield (+health).
It is slower than using the bee shield but just as effective, perhaps moreso when it is dinged or if you are down

Bee is OP peace of shit. So easy to play with it plus decent shotgin (not necessary a conference call)
I got mine gee from some hacker that hacked the game so that whole level was full of Legendary weapons. Hate hackers.

Hackers are indeed lame, but no one forced you to take the items...

Im a Gunzerker. I am playing with a friend (Siren) and we have just been trying this. He hides behind the pipe, heals me as I run and jump. We almost got him after 3 attempts. Had to quit though. He has a baby maker and deals 2.4 million in damage with it pr. throw. I am using the Sandhawk and two Infinities. Seriously almost had the bastard the other day. Anyway, now I am finally found a Bee (50K damage) and we are going to own him very soon :D

What is the maximum rate of fire? I was thinking respecing for "increased fire rate as long as you hold down the trigger while gunzerking". With two Infinities it could get pretty crazy unless the cap is fairly low.

The infinities are usually 7 to 8 per second but taking away accuracy. It should be easy with the bee/sandhawk. You shred the robots except one then focus entirely on him. Should be able to kill him easily. The remaining robot will keep him from prematurely starting his continual jump attacks & novas.

Mine are 8 and 9 base RoF, which is nice :D

What blew our combined minds last time was Hyperius ability to do his continual jump attacks with three robots left! I was under the impression that it was locked down the way you describe it. So apparently there is another trigger for this event, maybe multiple?

Attempting with the Bee for the first time tonight. Expecting to move on the Master Gee afterwards :D

Anyone know about the cap on rate of fire?

There are two triggers. All robots gone and also when he is about 1/3 health. So you leave the last robot and once the others are gone you focus everything for as long as possible on him.

also not sure what you mean by RoF cap. There is no cap. The more multipliers you have the faster it goes. Some guy posted a youtube video where he was continually destroying hyperius with x6 infinity pistol and sheriffs badge (+45% RoF +25% DMG). Unfortunately that had to be a hacked weapon.

And so The Bee has been nerfed... right before starting tonights session.

Only the first shot deals amps damage. Delay up to 7 seconds. Recharge rate down to 15K... amp damage 40K (for a 50K).

Tediore magazine damage, when thrown nerfed as well. Babymaker useless now.

Thanks Gearbox.. remember we are paying customers... GRRRRRR!!!!

I thought there was a 20 bullets per second cap for the RoF. Glad to hear there is none.

I don't remember Gearbox guaranteeing overpowered weapons or promising not to nerf overpowered items that cause the game to become trivial.

But but I was positive it said so on the box.

Think you are talking this a bit too seriously ;)

Funny you think Hyperius is trivial on TVHM. Please post your videos soloing him.

Nice looking new patch, though a lot of these issues should have been fixed on day one. Like the Golden Chest confirmation thing...it took how many fucking patches to add this? Ridiculous.

No mention of performance fixes, either.

I think I may have :p

I tried Hyperius once, on my lvl 35 assassin, it ended well...

I've been farming the Warrior with my lvl50 Commando -- I'm looking for a good purple AR, but it doesn't seem that I'll get a better one than what I already have. I love bladed weapons, so that's what I curently have. "Skewering Rifle" - does 5777 dmg per shot with a 44-round magazine. Accuracy is 89% but it's not so bad. Slag weapon. Would love to find something with explosive rounds. I have a green weapon called Stabbing Lance that does 9100 dmg, 13rd magazine, explosive damage. wish it had a higher capacity magazine, but at least it doesn't consume more than one round per shot.

Boy they sure did nerf the shit out of amplify damage. Not only did they neuter the Bee, but the made it so that amplify damage only applies once, spread across all projectiles in a shot. So, no more CC/Bee ownage. I don't understand the decision to do stuff like this. It's a single player game, who gives a damn if something is OP, nobody has to use it. We're not competing.

The only thing I care about seeing in any of these patches is "IMPROVED DROP RATES", but doesn't look like that'll ever happen. I've seen a lot of posts around the net from angry players, who've gone through PT1 and never got a decent weapon, and just quit out of frustration. That's not what BL1 was about, you didn't have to farm to get a decent weapon, and you sure as hell didn't have to farm a boss 100-200 times just to get a legendary.

I think they may have done that so that the CC/bee mentality isn't the end-all, be all. I dunno, hard to say.

The projectile number nerf makes sense for the Bee, but the rest of it seems totally unnecessary. Seems to be the general consensus of the GBX forums as well.

Sure it was too powerful. Just REALLY sucks to get the Bee on Wednesday and get the update patch the same day. Here is epic loot for you.. next second, let me just adjust that legendary for you.. here have your crap back hehe just bad timing for me personally.

I can understand your frustration in that regard. I'm personally getting tired of farming the Warrior for better gear -- it's feeling like he's dropping less and less loot now.

In any case.. MOAR DLC naooo!!! :D

Raising the level cap to 60 would be great. Pitchford said sometime before x-mas.

Yes, I'd totally be on board with that. I'm kinda dying for more content as well. Although I wish I had some friends to help tackle some of the raid bosses.

They really need to step it up with random drop rates, I never had to farm in BL1 to find good items, I found most of my orange/pearl items by playing the game, red chests, shop vendors, items of the day, random drops from piles, and enemies. Here in BL2, its like yo dawg we heard you like orange items but you see we locked them down to specific bosses/mini bosses, so if you want something that rhymes with orange youre gonna have to do 200+ boss farming runz. Red chests, forget it, random drops, nope, vendors, haha no way, items of the day, keep dreaming...

In BL1 you can farm those loot chest. Most of my rare weapons are from loot chest and now you have to do raid bosses to see one. Slot machine is cool if you get lucky. :)

this is true. the only good weapons I got in BL2 was farming the gold key chest. I never really found good weapons. I had enough to get by but nothing fantastic. Actually, I had one weapon, a flame shotgun that I made it through at least level 15 to 33 using that gun. Once I hit PT2, it instantly became useless.

in BL1 you could find great stuff everywhere. And the greatness was not capped. In BL2 it seems like the raw damage for good weapons is going to be the same, example, more damage = less accuracy, greater shield strength = longer recharge delay. And so forth. They all appear to be locked down that way. The exceptional stuff are all gold weapons. And that is what is most disappointing. You just won't find good loot unless you farm bosses. Skag piles, trash bins, don't bother. In BL1 I got some of my best weapons from there. And the red letter weapons, although unique in some characteristics, they did not blow away the other weapons like they do in BL2.

Agreed, all guns appear to have tradeoffs, whereas in BL1 you could find that amazing gun that had accuracy, fire rate, and magazine size.

True. Got my most beastly Combustion Hellfire SMG from a trash bin. Never found a great weapon like that in BL2, even after 200+ hours of OCD looting every possible skag pile etc.

Maybe I should start an assassin character. I hear that their sniper crit damage can stack insanely, should make Hyperius a lot more manageable.
