You can change the FOV quite easily.

Also the multiplayer is barely better, with all the copies sold I figured full groups would be easy to create but no, I have yet to see more than 2 people in a single game. Oh well.

It's not a mess, it's called fisheye effect and if it bothers you, your FOV is set too high.
I'll bet you moved the slider all the way right without even checking what it was? :p

stuff like that is what makes BL so great. so random.


The inventory has grown on me and I think I see where they were going with it.
Since I am left handed I use the numpad for just about everything and in the menus now I can just quickly navigate them with the arrows and the enter key. that with the sorting methods available it is pretty quick now.
 
The FOV isn't bad until you start running - then the fisheye/curve of the earth thing goes haywire. The effect is so pronounced I don't really like to go over 90...and in some ways it looks more natural even lower.
 
am I the only one that likes the fisheye while sprinting?

Makes it seem like you move so much faster.
 
Anyone used the Shift service yet?

I like the idea of getting some extra golden keys once in a while, but I'm not sure how it works? i noticed it was somehow linked up to some guy's twitter account?

I assume Gearbox/Steam fixed the hack where you could edit up more keys?

You can choose to link it to stuff, like you would link it to Steam so you can enter the codes in-game to get the keys.

They fixed the file to get more keys but there's still another way to cheat it.
 
I'm extremely bummed I haven't had time to play this game in a week. And it'll likely be a minimum of another week before I get a chance... DANG!

Stupid life, video games should be all there is!

That mission kicked ass.

The best by far however, has to be when you first meet Brick, and that "Sarcastic Slab" comes out and walks around clapping, I died laughing. :cool:

I still think my favorite is blowing up the train with Tiny Tina...her dialogue cracks me the hell up, ADD killer 12 year old FTW.

I play only SP in this game,offline, so I'm not looking to cheat anyone on-line.......I was able to use the original hack on my first run through, but gave myself a limit of 10 keys. Made the game alot more fun.:D

I'd like to do the same thing on my second run through.

Are fire weapons as OP in Bl2 as in Bl1? I'm playing through one right now to get into the games a bit and my fire shotgun/sniper rifle just own. Lets me kill higher level things than I should be able
 
More Shift codes coming......

GearboxSoftware: Specifically, we'll be posting codes on 10/5 at 6PM and 11PM CT and on 10/6 at 5AM, 11AM and 3PM CT.

GearboxSoftware: Each code will be able to be used once per account, and will be active for three hours apiece.
 
Golden Key cheat:

What you do is go into your Borderlands2 folder, usually under your my documents\my games\borderlands 2.

If you're on Windows 7 it's under Users\Your Profile\My Games\Borderlands 2\WillowGame\SaveData

I think that's the right path. Its something like that. I can get the correct path when I'm home tonight. But it's where your save games are.

There's a profile.bin file in there, just mark it read-only in the properties window, then launch BL2. I always make a copy before screwing around.

Then you can open up the chest for as many keys as you have, so you have 10, you can open it 10 times. You'll see the number decrease, but the file is read-only, so it's not really changing the value.

So you open the chest 10 times, get some loot you like, cool. Save and Exit the game. Go back to the profile.bin and uncheck the "read-only."

After all that when you go back into the game you will still have your keys, plus the loot from the chest. You can do this over and over and over.

You can even do this:

Once you mark the file read-only, enter the game, loot the chest 10 times, then save and exit. Go back into the game right after and open the chest another 10 times. Rinse/Repeat. You only have to remove the read-only when you want to continue the game as there are other things stored there that would get messed up if it stayed read-only.

maybe because they don't want to get banned? It's a bit more complicated than editing an ini file and I'm sure the process used violates TOS.

Only against unshielded flesh. You will be facing plenty hard as hell mechs in the future where those fire weapons won't be that great.

Nope. Any elemental-based weapon that fires against an elemental-resistance enemy (of the same kind) makes close to no damage. I think it makes less than 10% of the original damage... so its close to nothing.

Also, the fire damage is not as huge as it used to be on BL1...

Yup, all depends on the type of enemies. Corrosive is nice to have against all the robots and armored engineers you have to fight.

Thats great to hear actually. I'm still finishing up all the quests in the fyrestone area in BL1 and I'm really only fighting flesh typed creatures and my fire weapons just rape them. Fighting something 3-4 lvls above me, get them lit on fire then run away. Rinse repeat while kiting

Gonna pick up Bl2 from the hotdeals thread and get going on some co-op with my old roommate

Heh, reminds me of the Maliwan Volcano sniper rifle in BL1. That rifle was so OP that it wasn't even funny.

It even got to a point where I could just lure whole squads into a tight group and then fire the sniper without scoping into the group and they all would die. :D
 
Anybody kill a Buzzard in round 5 of Finks Slaughterhouse? Do they rain money ffs ? So many enemies, so little time....
 
There is a second arena questline...

I tried to do the Hyperion arena at around level 30-35, right after the bot that wants to be human; the 5th round is freaking crazy. I took down the end game boss easy, but that quest is ridiculous. I died several times, gave up, came back to it and died several more and said screw it, moving on to playthrough 2. My final playthrough I was doing really well, but then accidentally got too close to a Super Badass Loader, which did some kind of ground stomp and sent me flying over the edge, instant death. Almost punched my monitor...it wasn't so much dying, it was leaving one quest undone. I have minor OCD on the side quests, I have to complete them!

Probably overly cautious on the spoiler, oh well.

I saw that, too. What level were you when you attempted it? I'm at 32 and am thinking about giving it a shot soon.

On another note, I've found that you can save yourself the reanimation cost if you pause and quit the game right before you die. You'll have to fill up your ammunition again, but I think that's a lot cheaper than the alternative.
