Oh my god I'm ..... It's starting to happen! Wes has finally started putting up more stuff as we speak. XT's just went up for pre-order sale with delivery next week! There is only about 20 of them so get'em while the getting is good. Shoot....that is less than 1 per state in the USA

In case anyone is interested Aqua Computer is now selling a Laing DDC variant that has a RPM sensing output.

I don't think he ordered any yet as they just put them up on their site for sale. Wes says they are pretty noisy and A-C says that if you put them in an Aqua-Bay they really vibrate the case and are noisy too. But it is a decent pump and their is a manufacturer in Europe that makes a cool clear plexi replacement bottom for it that eliminates some of the deficiencies of the pump. I asked Franz to look into it for me to see what they would cost and delivery. Probably hear back something in a few days as he is out of town for a few days.

Well I am waiting to cut some holes this weekend before I put it together and I need another Aquatube that is coming in next week. So unless I hook it up to my present PC it isn't going to happen real soon. Perhaps I can talk Wes into flashing it for me then if it loses the magic smoke I can get a new one from him.....

His computer quit working so he will be out of touch till he gets his hardware back from being RMA'd Give him a couple of weeks. Sharka can get them for you, but I have no idea how long it would take. Call them or e-mail them. If your in a hurry contact any Legris or Parker distributor and tell them what you want as it might be quicker, but probably not less expensive.

Added: BTW, any 1/2" BSPP barb will work just as well. I assume you really wanted a parallel thread instead of the tapered thread you called out as being BSPT.

Added: Forgot to mention that Franz is out and about doing some teaching in some other town. So he might not answer as fast depending on whether he has good wireless service where he is at. He will be back in the office Thursday though. BTW, did you know that you can chat real time with him via ICQ late at night (for you) as he gets in about 0800 Austria time which I think is about 0300 EST ?

A short summary of all the nice features: with that stuff you are able to create your own software because you will get everything you need to communicate with your Aquaero and it's upcomming stuff like multiswitch or tubemeter.

The aquasuite BETA 4 has some bug-fixes but the best is the new XML export function. You can import Aquaeros data in Samurize and create a desktop with all interesting measured values.

Right now I am getting 42c with an XT, Cuplex NB, Cuplex GPU, AC Micro Drive with an EVO240 radiator and AquaStream pump (running 71hz). I am going to try and put a stronger pump with my XT and see if it started to perform better. I had a MCP650 driving my Cuplex Pro with Cuplex NB and Cuplex GPU block and were seeing 38-39c temps. I am guessing a lesser pump with a microdrive block cooling my Raptor is too much for the loop. But is does look very cool!

No difference form my cuplex pro to cuplex evo, it all depends whats on the loop and what are you moving the water with ( pump ) these things are not cathar blocks they are more how you say All flash and no Dash. The only one I saw was on a German site and it gave me a headache trying to translate it. The Babelfish version was worse than my translation. However, since there are only a few blocks of this design like this on the market we should be able to draw some inferences about how well it might perform. While no one is prepared to say which of these designs is better ATM, I would be willing to go out on a limb and say that they all are probably operating in the ballpark of each other. Since more companies are coming out with similar designs it can be inferred that perhaps we have a winner on our hands.

Since I tend to go with better technology as a rule I'm willing to fork over the bucks for something new. In fact after seeing the block up close I continued on with my order for the Cuplex XT Silver Edition and in fact one of our brethren also ordered one as well.

So I suppose time will tell, but I'm betting on a very cool looking block that I think will do well even at a $110 USD price. If you don't like the price then call G.W. Bush and tell him to start buying up dollars or quit running such high deficits.

I'm in the market for an Aquastream at the right price? If you saw 38-39c temps and they are now 42c what is the difference in ambient temps as that is the key factor here? And of course the BIG question is did the temps you are getting now cause you to have to de-clock your box?

Actually I was looking into having some T's made with the A-C fish ready to swallow an Innovatek God Franz says that kind of stuff is really frowned upon in Europe, but I told them political satire is a time honored tradition in America and almost a sacred right. Perhaps that on the back and a "I Love my Aqua Computer Gear" on the front. Any buyers?

Wes at Sharka will provide the goods, camera, and photographer. I will supply the brains and expertise. We will then post it to their site for posterity.

I think we will show three different ways of doing it as there are trade-offs in each method that only the person doing the modding could decide on. Probably get around to doing it next week sometime.

Your problem isn't the firmware, it's the current OS which you have damaged when trying to update to OS 2.02.

While updating it seems that only a few bits and bytes have beend flashed and I guess one of them was the signature that says you are having OS x.xx
Now if you try to update your aquaero, the OS loader will abort this because it thinks that you have already updated.

No not mad at all sh!t happens, i think i heard the all flash no dash thing at a race i was at and just stuck. As for the politiacl satire everywhere we went in germany when i was in the military people were cool layed back. France surronding areas they can smell americans a mile away ( maybe my axe body spray ) and it wasn't the girls. For them to joke was ok but for us, watch your back when you leave. Im a quite guy anyway though

The OS loader thinks it did the firmware write, but the Aquaeros just ignores it. Thats what I have determined (at least based on the 20 plus attempts on two different systems with same results).

Remember, my Aquaeros still works great with the old USB version of Aquasuite.

100.00 expedited service 6 pound package, they ship it back using GPS which will either com DHL or postal service. If you use USPS its only 35-40.00 and that was with insurance package was only 1 pound. USPS has a new service though thats working with fedex so you might get a better deal i dont know. If wes can change it out for you then send it back to austria to franz do that man lol dont be like me
