Add this to the launch argument in ubisoft launcher:

There's got to be something seriously wrong with my game. This is what it looks like under both the "ultra" and "outlaw" settings, everything possible turned all the way up. I have no idea why the screen shots look so washed out, the colors and lighting look great but the textures and some of the models are absolute garbage.

I had the same thing happen in the same area. Something about that area causes the game to basically run out of VRAM, and so what you're getting is basically garbage textures/models because the game is at the limit. You just need to reload.

but main character is too low res on hes screen

I'll try reloading then adjusting the cinematic effects of that doesn't help.

On my 4090, on Outlaw settings at 4K, with DLSS Quality and Frame Gen enabled, I’m doubling my frames with no visual difference - and the game goes from unplayable to smooth.

Incredible tech from Nvidia.

Looks like this will need a few patches to fix the performance or graphic setting issues.

If you look around you'll see more shimmering on certain things, and rain often gets blurry. The recent major update made fences not look so bad which was nice. It varies from game to game. Frame generation creates some ghosting/trailing on some items. For example in Jedi Survivor, the ghosting is noticeable in the corner of the screen when riding on elevators. The technology is getting better and generally I find the visual quality reduction worth it for the frame rate increases.

Restarting the game fixed it for a bit but then it happened again when I got to the bar so I think I'm done until they can figure out how to get their game engine to load textures properly.

Have any of you guys played the Avatar game, is that any good. I'm in the mood for an easy open world game and just remembered I got a free copy with my CPU purchase last year and was wondering if it's even worth installing.

Monitor is too bright I run everything low as possible for all games.

I had the same bug like I said. Just required a restart. My VRAM was pegged out. I’ve noticed after longer play sessions the game starts having issues managing VRAM, and something about that area and going inside your ship breaks the game.

Wait, so is this out or are only pre-orders able to play? What about Ubi+? My wife has been waiting for this for a while, so I want her to be able to play ASAP, lol.

Ubisoft+ subscribers can play it now, too.

Cool. Well, I guess there goes $17! Hopefully it's playable enough for her to enjoy it.

You better let me in lol the thing is if you knock out a few guards and replay the level 3-4 time your Rep. will go down but you can save scum at this point and reload the level.

Are you using HDR (maybe the screenshot tool wash out color in some way not supporting it correctly) ?
Yeah, probably. I don't ever really use the screen shot feature so it's not a big deal, I just needed it in this instance to show the texture issues I was having.

So game of the year?

I think the middle of the road reviewers suffered from burnout and rushing the game just to get a review out. If you like Watchdogs you will like this game gameplay isn't similar but you do alot of stealth freaking the gunplay is really good. The characters in cut scenes are more memorable just because of the Star War universe. This game gives me some eyestrain though some setting isnt working out for me. Since UBI isn't on Steam I can't communicate with the general public to fix it.

The more I play it the more I've liked it. It's a solid 8 for me. It's not doing anything remarkable, but it's ultimately a solid game. It has strengths. Namely the sound. it's got a pretty decent original score, and everything sounds like Star Wars should. The highlight of the game is just walking around the larger settlements. No other Star Wars game has really captured this properly, and this one does. The graphics I would generally rate very high, but not on the same tier as Avatar simply because some of the texturing work can be low res and some of the human character models are just not that great.

I do really like a lot of the more unique open-world collectables they've added, and I also like the design decision of the different factions. The faction element can really change where/how you approach certain missions. This is also in my view one of the few games that successfully blends stealth/action properly. Neither is overpowered in most situations, and your choice of how to approach a mission can wildly vary. I do recommend immediately cranking the difficultly level for combat and stealth up. The default setting is too easy to the game's detriment.

Overall, after actually playing it for 10+ hours at this point I think most of the hate for this game isn't deserved. It does what it does above average, and offers some new/unique elements to the Ubisoft open world formula along with being an entirely new experience for Star Wars.

I turned all of this BLUR garbage off lol doesn't seem necessary.
The RTXDI just isn't worth the FPS hit IMO. You're better off turning it off for better DLSS/DLAA. Snowdrop engine as it is already is doing such a good job that it doesn't need Nvidia's bolted on BS outside of maybe the DLSS 3.5 features.

And yes, motion blur in any game on PC is worth turning off.

I'll do that

If I go from 21:9 to Full Screen the whole games FPS is messed up with Fill Screen which is what they call it 12:9 looks way better.
Turning off all that Blur stuff and Illumination helped.

I'm on a ultra wide display already so I guess I don't have whatever issue this is.
