I know you are talking about the DeathAdder but my copperhead is double click impaired. It's almost impossible to not get a double click even when you hit in once. Does that sound like a similar problem?
Interested in this WD40 thing. I retired my copperhead. I'll at least give it to my cousin if it isn't trash.
What I meant to say is that the Copperhead, based on just pure technical specs, should be better than the Deathadder. I use 1600 DPI so anything above that is too much for me anyway.
I'm still curious as to how the DA "wrecks" every other mouse out there though.
right. There's more to a mouse than the maximum DPI. If I used my DA on max DPI it would drive me crazy....
right.
Unless you're sniping in TF2
How would high DPI help you?
I agree. I never use the on the fly DPI buttons for gaming, but they're great for Photoshop. I ordered on of these DeathAdders so once I get it it will be my new gaming mouse. My G5 will be my Photoshop mouse.Same here, never liked my 518 in terms of comfort for long gaming sessions. And as for on the fly DPI switching I never used it in games with any mouse I own; in any fast paced fps trying to switch dpi is a death wish IMO, unless you camp with sniper rifle or something. Actually with the way the dpi buttons are set up with 518 I had to lock in a single dpi setting through Setpoint to make sure I wouldn't accidentally switch it during gaming. In terms of comfort though G9 is great for me, but I still find the woven cord a big con.

Why not just get a DeathAdder?B/c hopefully he'd actually make it gamer oriented and not general tard public oriented?
Read the above post, apparently it wasn't sarcasm, you lose^ whoosh goes the concept of sarcasm over your head
whoosh!

I've got it and played around with it. Nice comfortable shape but firmware sucks, need mouse weights and mouse feet are way too small for effective tracking.
Just out of curiosity how many diff gaming mice have you tried out/owned?
I got a sidewinder mouse if you wanna trade I could use a backup because I have a feeling I'll manage to break this mouse eventually...
Over 7 years, about 3 to 5 mice. Before I got into gaming rigs we used to use these old old old Microsoft mice:Just out of curiosity how many diff gaming mice have you tried out/owned?

I noticed my Destructor stays really clean, which is great about it. Only thing I don't like about the DA is it doesn't have the on-the-fly DPI +/- like the Lachesis does....
[H]adouken;1033806983 said:Okay I've been wiping it with just a damp cloth every now and then but I'll try the Windex out definitely. Do you ever clean the bottom of your mouse? I flipped my DA today after about 3 days of use and noticed it has some weird looking buildup around the feet...
Kyle should design and release an [H] gamer mouse. I'd buy that.
I'm not going to lie, probably the worst name for a mouse...EVER!
A hardocp themed Razer would be sick. Would hopefully look better than this PS'ed Guild Wars edition Razer though.
what is this bs about the DA not having on the fly dpi adjustment?
it has it!
When you figure out how it works please post here.
I agree. Would also be nice if it had weight adjustments like the g5/g9.So
Shape
- Somewhere around DA or Steelseries Ikari
-Cord should be thin, light and non woven!
Buttons
-As many as possible, at least 2 on the left side and maybe 3 on the front.
Software
-Something as close as possible to logitechs firmware, with lots of profile/ macro/ dpi settings.
Also needs a glowing [H] logo.
?
[H]ard Gaming mouse.
its pretty easy. assign number 3 to on the fly.
when you want to adjust it you need click down AND THEN scroll.
it will allow you to adjust the sensitivity in the middle of whatever you're doing/playing.
edit: you can assign any button to control on the fly sensitivity. you click the button and use the scroll wheel to adjust it.
i chose number 3 because its most convenient for me.
I agree. Would also be nice if it had weight adjustments like the g5/g9.
Ok...click the button then scroll. Will try when I get back home, I could never get this to work with my diamondback 3g though.
well i know for a fact it works on my DA.
It just bothers me that when people can't figure how to get on the fly to work they just assume the mouse doesn't have it
And in this thread its been said at least 10 times!
Its not like Razer included any clear documentation on how on the fly works.
