Case is sitting on (4) large sofa feet. Used a 8ft $30 door from home Depot as a table that I painted w/ Black lacquer, it's ankered to the wall on one side and other side uses a ikea bookshelf. Turned out to be an awesome strong workspace, it's very smooth feeling and I like resting my arms on the table, easier to do large sweeping motions with the mouse.

I'm only running 19 fans ATM, I should probably add one more 200mm on the front panel to hit a even 20 fans total lol :p. It's actually surprisingly quite, It runs eeerly silent with most the fans running close to 500 rpm. Temps are amazing my 980ti@1500mhz runs at 23c idle and 49c load and my i7@5ghz runs at 32c idle and 52c load on air using a lapped hyper 212 w/ a low rpm Gelid push/pull setup.

1x200mm exhaust (front fan, removes hot air from gpu radiator)
6x140mm exhaust (bottom/rear, for gpu radiator and rears for cpu and memory/mobo)
9x120mm intake (top fans, w/ 2 in push/pull on gpu radiator)
only an enthusiast, lol

My work workstation. Apologies for the tight shot an odd angle, just because I want to share my workstation, it doesn't mean my coworkers do too.

Not going to lie, I posted this build on PCPP last year, don't have anything new for this year (yet!).

Very nice. Did you add the carbon fiber to your case? If so, did you use a vinyl? Truly one of the cleanest builds I've seen.

What monitor stand is that? is it part of the desk or did you buy it separate?

PS love your big air x9. Still havent figured out what im gonna do with mine.

Thanks man! I love this case also, it's got such amazing air flow the way I have it setup.

The monitor stands are black tempered glass w/ black metal legs, i'm using (2) side by side...

Thanks. Yeah I wrapped it with 3M DI-NOC carbon fiber vinyl. It's great stuff, has a nice matte finish and looks pretty close to the real thing. It was pretty easy to work with on this case since it's all nice clean lines and edges, no complex geometry.

As always, some people here have some really nice setups. Heres mine.

Hi, I really like your workspace, may I ask what is the table and monitor stand you are using? Also the carpet protector for the chair looks wooden, is that also purchased somewhere?

Thank you

I do know that monitor stand you're asking about is from Ikea, you can put it together your self and it's easy... Search result - IKEA and any wooden wall shelf depending on the detail you like. The Carpet Chair Mat, I believe it's Vinyl and not wood as it looks on that picture, you can find those online like ULINE or your local Home Depot, Office Depot, Staples.

Love the standing desk, but I'm a little confused why it's in the middle of the room. Is this temporary?

WHat fans are these?

The 3 exhaust fans are Thermaltake Riing 120mm, they're fairly quiet and have good SP. No complaints with them and they look awesome, IMO. The two intake fans are Cougar Vortex 140mm.

Good eye. You are correct in that the monitor shelf was a small DIY project. I just took a piece of wood, stained it black and screwed on the 4 legs from IKEA. The desk is also from IKEA. It is a Bekant corner desk. Bekant Desk However I dont think they still carry the color that I have anymore.

Not as fancy as some, but this is mine:

Just a note, there's no desktop in the picture. That's because the two monitors, audio, and USB hub are connected via 30ft extension cables that run into and up the wall, through the attic, and drop down into the guest bedroom closet where my two PCs live.

I've gone through a lot of changes since my last post (probably 2014), but wanted to share my latest setup.

Ikea Malm desk with drawer unit.
3x Dell U2417H
Razer Deathstalker Chroma keyboard
Razer Deathadder Chrome mouse
Razer Leviathan Sound Bar
Sony Playstation 4
Microsoft Xbox One
Thernaltake V21 mATX Chassis
- MSI Z97M motherboard
- Intel Core i7 4790K CPU
- 16GB Corsair DDR3 Memory
- 1TB Samsung EVO SSD
- MSI GTX 980 4G GPU

Drilled two cable holes in the back of the cabinet portion of the Malm desk for the consoles.

Just uploaded a video (Sorry for the quality, just wanted to get something up) of my setup. Very unique as its a open setup (Desk isn't against a wall). Let me know what you guys think!!

Another Update:

So they did revise the non compete and I give them credit for doing so. They took out the radius and specifically listed clients they didn't want me to work for. It still is 5 pages. My attorney did advise me not to sign this either as it relinquishes my rights for any litigation reason. One of my complaints (that my attorney advised me of) was the fact that they had a clause that basically stated I could not request a trial by jury for any reason (even if it is about discrimination, etc). I brought this to their attention, they refuse to change that portion. Literally, this section is called "Waiver of Right to Trial by Jury" under "Article III: Miscellaneous Provisions". The issue with this is once again, dominance. My attorney advised me that Jury's in PA are more susceptible of siding with the employee, but Judges in PA side with Businesses (Go Figure!). They also have a provision on where the case will be held (what court house). My attorney advised me this is legal. It throws flags up because it potentially goes to a Judge that they may know (this is my speculation, not my attorneys).

While I do appreciate them making some changes, good changes, it still doesn't negate the fact that they're willing to have employees sign such garbage in the first place. I'm taking the advice of family, friends, you guys and my attorney and letting them fire me. At no point have I told them I am quitting, in fact I'm on my lunch break right now and I'm still meeting with clients and prospecting.

**Edit** The reason why the waiver of trial by jury is a big deal is this. We're at AT WILL STATE, there's no promise of employment here, no contracts. If they employer is doing things legally, this clause shouldn't exist.

Hey man,

How did you wrap the desk? I was actually looking to do something just like this.

It was time consuming, but fairly easy! I purchased Vinyl Wrap on ebay (60" x 60" GUNMETAL BRUSHED ALUMINUM VINYL WRAP PRO GRADE BUBBLE FREE AIR RELEASE), I would highly recommend going with 3M DI-NOC (I believe they have new stuff called 1080, I think either would work fine), I went the cheap route and after a few months it's starting to show :(. Check out this video, he does a very good job explaining:

Where are you guys finding these simple desks? Every time I go looking for them I only find ones with a ton of drawers I never use. Last time I had to custom order a HON desk with no drawers and I am currently in the hunt for two desks.

Very nice setup but the leftside cables need some work and this would be the perfect setup. Still it looks amazing.

Thanks a lot !

I do agree with you about the cables, i have bought some Ikea SIGNUM that i need to install to solve that :)
