only an enthusiast, lol
My work workstation. Apologies for the tight shot an odd angle, just because I want to share my workstation, it doesn't mean my coworkers do too.
That or ready to activate the Goldeneye!
Not going to lie, I posted this build on PCPP last year, don't have anything new for this year (yet!).
What monitor stand is that? is it part of the desk or did you buy it separate?
PS love your big air x9. Still havent figured out what im gonna do with mine.
Very nice. Did you add the carbon fiber to your case? If so, did you use a vinyl? Truly one of the cleanest builds I've seen.
Thanks man! I love this case also, it's got such amazing air flow the way I have it setup.
The monitor stands are black tempered glass w/ black metal legs, i'm using (2) side by side...

Thanks. Yeah I wrapped it with 3M DI-NOC carbon fiber vinyl. It's great stuff, has a nice matte finish and looks pretty close to the real thing. It was pretty easy to work with on this case since it's all nice clean lines and edges, no complex geometry.
Still its a sweet rig.
Still its a sweet rig.
Hi, I really like your workspace, may I ask what is the table and monitor stand you are using? Also the carpet protector for the chair looks wooden, is that also purchased somewhere?
I do know that monitor stand you're asking about is from Ikea, you can put it together your self and it's easy... Search result - IKEA and any wooden wall shelf depending on the detail you like. The Carpet Chair Mat, I believe it's Vinyl and not wood as it looks on that picture, you can find those online like ULINE or your local Home Depot, Office Depot, Staples.
WHat fans are these?
Noctua fans in the front I believe and Corsair LED fans through out the rest of the case.
Love the standing desk, but I'm a little confused why it's in the middle of the room. Is this temporary?
Me too. Also it needs some love to those cables.
Basement setup (almost done waiting to put 2016 oled on empty glass stand in corner
Is it just me, or are those some giant windows for a basement?
It could be a walk out basement.
It's a walk out
The 3 exhaust fans are Thermaltake Riing 120mm, they're fairly quiet and have good SP. No complaints with them and they look awesome, IMO. The two intake fans are Cougar Vortex 140mm.
Good eye. You are correct in that the monitor shelf was a small DIY project. I just took a piece of wood, stained it black and screwed on the 4 legs from IKEA. The desk is also from IKEA. It is a Bekant corner desk. Bekant Desk However I dont think they still carry the color that I have anymore.
Not as fancy as some, but this is mine:
Just a note, there's no desktop in the picture. That's because the two monitors, audio, and USB hub are connected via 30ft extension cables that run into and up the wall, through the attic, and drop down into the guest bedroom closet where my two PCs live.
I've gone through a lot of changes since my last post (probably 2014), but wanted to share my latest setup.
Ikea Malm desk with drawer unit.
3x Dell U2417H
Razer Deathstalker Chroma keyboard
Razer Deathadder Chrome mouse
Razer Leviathan Sound Bar
Sony Playstation 4
Microsoft Xbox One
Thernaltake V21 mATX Chassis
- MSI Z97M motherboard

- 16GB Corsair DDR3 Memory
- 1TB Samsung EVO SSD
- MSI GTX 980 4G GPU
Drilled two cable holes in the back of the cabinet portion of the Malm desk for the consoles.
Very nice setup. The thin bezel monitors look nice.
Just uploaded a video (Sorry for the quality, just wanted to get something up) of my setup. Very unique as its a open setup (Desk isn't against a wall). Let me know what you guys think!!
Looks awesome! Super clean, good job on the cable management!
How did you wrap the desk? I was actually looking to do something just like this.
It was time consuming, but fairly easy! I purchased Vinyl Wrap on ebay (60" x 60" GUNMETAL BRUSHED ALUMINUM VINYL WRAP PRO GRADE BUBBLE FREE AIR RELEASE), I would highly recommend going with 3M DI-NOC (I believe they have new stuff called 1080, I think either would work fine), I went the cheap route and after a few months it's starting to show . Check out this video, he does a very good job explaining:
Where are you guys finding these simple desks? Every time I go looking for them I only find ones with a ton of drawers I never use. Last time I had to custom order a HON desk with no drawers and I am currently in the hunt for two desks.
Guy in this video sounds like Old Greg
My 2016 setup
How do you like the U2417H jedolly?
Yep, that's 2 LG 31MU97-B 4K, very happy with them
As storage i have :
Synology DS509+ with DX509 with 5 x 2 TB WD Green each
Synology DS1815+ with 4 x 6 TB WD Red and 4 empty slot.
In my workstation i have : 2 x SSD Crucial 512 GB in Raid 0, and 2 x 4 TB WD Green in Raid 1
Very nice setup but the leftside cables need some work and this would be the perfect setup. Still it looks amazing.
They are called tables.
Thanks a lot !
I do agree with you about the cables, i have bought some Ikea SIGNUM that i need to install to solve that
