Yeah, when there's 2 other ammo bags in the game I usually switch to medkit or C4.

If you get the rifle perks from Technician and the shotgun ones from the Enforcer tree, you will be pretty set....that's what I did, because Enforcer is more focused on shotguns which makes it suck when you are running a rifle in primary. And I also run a tricked-out AK762...it's so OP, especially with mods.
 
Well for all you guys who want mods for your guns. the latest patch notes said that you are more likely to get weapon mods for weapons that you actually own. so sell all your extras and you will have a much better chance to get mods you actually want.
 
Yeah, actually having not gotten a single sight for 62 levels, in the last few days (62-65) I've gotten three. So I think they clearly fixed the item drop rate a little.

So they said, but it was a little too late for me...took me until lvl 68-69 or so before I got optic 2, 3, and 4. Yeah, you read that right...I had 1 optic for almost 70 lvls, and NOW they change the drop rate...lmao.
 
Same here, man. I still want a Surgeon Sight but I'm happy with my ACOG and Mildot.

Apparently, the new thing to do is troll/be a complete asshole in this game. You can achieve this by either a) kicking people right before the end of the Escape so they get no money/XP/card, or b) fuck up a job halfway through and then just quit.

Oh, trust me...I know what you mean. That's why I try to run crews that are on my friends list (or friends of friends) every night so I don't have to deal with that shit.

Still wanting to pick this game up. I'm worried about player dropoff though. I won't have the extra funds for a little while. Thinking I might be better off waiting for steam holiday sale. Maybe more players will jump in then too.
 
You could wait...it's a really fun game, though, and it's only $30.

I guess recently they added the ability to filter games to specific missions, and also a way to buy the missions you want. Pretty cool I guess.
 
My goal today is to try and hit level 70 so I can get Smooth Talker. I think I'm at 67 right now so it shouldn't be too hard.

Already I've had a couple times where we did Watchdogs and no one brought ammo so we got owned. I miss those ammo bags as Technician. :p
 
I am think i will try to get to 85 this weekend so i can get c4. i am only 71 so i have quite a lot of grinding to do.

I got in with a level 92 who just kept buying Rats on Overkill and we did speed runs. Very quick and easy.

As fun as this game is, most of its community is just horrible.
 
I must have been pretty lucky overall...Only had a couple games where people were douches. Gonna hit 80 this weekend for sure with Rats farming. Seen a lot of mid-90s guys farming it.
 
ya most groups i have played with have been good. I have only been booted from 2 groups mid mission.
 
Hit level 84 doing Rats runs, mostly. Also stealthed Framing Frame a few times...got it down to an art (though with Dominator and Smooth Talker it's not really that hard).
 
Day 1 - Blow up meth lab right away
Day 2 - Shoot right away if you don't have C4, and even if you do, just shoot. Then go find where they have the intel and hope they burned it, or use C4. If you don't have C4 just dick around outside a bit longer.
Day 3 - Kill the people on the bus, if you want take a bag each and then go to the heli and escape.

Generally takes 15-20 minutes max. Escapes can make it annoying, but XP is around 190k I think for all days + escape for pro/overkill.
 
Also, if you have multiple guys with C4 you can almost always get the intel, and then you can do Ace Pilot and get all bags pretty fast if you have two on the bus and two outside. That's if you want money and not just XP.

M308 with a scope works wonders if you just want to kill everyone on the bus and leave. Takes like 20 seconds.
 
Yeah, well money is completely useless in this game so generally isn't worth the time.
 
Ya i try to horde my. off shore money, i am not sure why. i ran with a crazy pug group we ran rats in 5 min going by the ingame timer. it was crazy, though a lot of it was luck.
 
Level 90, what what!

Did a couple stealth runs of Bank Heist with some cool guys...really it's pretty easy to stealth if people know what they're doing (and you have body bagging + Smooth Talker).

It's weird how arbitrary Rats Day 1 is as to the time between when you get in the lab and when you can put in the first ingredient. Sometimes it comes up immediately, as soon as you get in there...others it takes almost an entire police assault before you can even do the first. I would hate to actually cook for real those times...

Yeah, we had one like that the other night...when we were going for the cook, too. We went through about 4-5 bags of ammo and 2 medkits at least, but we eventually pulled it off.
 
Nice...I just have to farm Rats like 50 more times to hit 100 (probably... :()

i know but i saw a lab pop in under 40 sec before the guy even stopped talking. so i was curious if there was another way.

hey some one told me if you stealth the beginning of rats they don't kill the cookers. is that true?

It can pop up very quickly sometimes...it's just completely random.

As for the stealthing, I don't think so...I've run up there pretty fast and they just drop dead arbitrarily. We've taken out all the guys silently and they're still dead.
 
Just encountered my first hacker...guy was a level 100 running around at max speed, bags or no, and was able to place anything instantly and in infinite amounts. He could also open deposit boxes instantly.

Game sure is fun when you just throw down 50 fully-maxed sentry turrets and sit there while the bank vault drill goes... :rolleyes:

I played with a guy that could disable the enemy AI. He would aim at the ground and do something and all the cops would just stand there while we finished the heist.

Sounds more exciting than actually doing the same heists over and over and over and over and over and over and over....you know what I mean.

17 heists with 50% being the bank and the rest being rehashes is shit.

Yeah, I getcha. They did really drop the ball on randomization of heists. Also, they keep wasting time adding shit like more escapes to prevent farming, while ignoring bugs that have been in the game since release, some of which are game breaking (shit like Rats day 2 Intel never showing up...happened to us after getting 6 fucking bags...:mad:).

Did you make sure to check everywhere? I once was able to open up a random wooden door(it took as long as a safe). But yeah, I don't think I am buying another game made by them, I felt like I got lied to. To me 17 heists means 17 different heists. Also, where the hell is a big bank heist like the videos I saw of the ones in Payday 1? Why is that after level 39 you have all the guns and nothing to really spend money on? (I have 61 million spending with nothing to spend it on). And then the most retarded part is where the m308 takes 2 headshots, why even use that gun then, shotguns have more ammo and do more damage. Oh and SMG's seem to have better range than the m308 as well. MEH! :mad:

I bet there will be tons of DLC for that stuff, which is retarded since it will show that the base game is obviously not finished and just cut up into pieces of DLC.
