It might depend on your skills, but the M308 is a one shot headshot kill on the tan armored units for me. Same with the pump shottie if you have the enforcer shotgun perk.
 
Did you make sure to check everywhere? I once was able to open up a random wooden door(it took as long as a safe). But yeah, I don't think I am buying another game made by them, I felt like I got lied to. To me 17 heists means 17 different heists. Also, where the hell is a big bank heist like the videos I saw of the ones in Payday 1? Why is that after level 39 you have all the guns and nothing to really spend money on? (I have 61 million spending with nothing to spend it on). And then the most retarded part is where the m308 takes 2 headshots, why even use that gun then, shotguns have more ammo and do more damage. Oh and SMG's seem to have better range than the m308 as well. MEH! :mad:

I bet there will be tons of DLC for that stuff, which is retarded since it will show that the base game is obviously not finished and just cut up into pieces of DLC.

I agree with some of those complaints but the game is still easily worth $30

Yeah, it's good for all skills, but if you get the enforcer perk for shotgun damage, suddenly the pump one becomes viable as well.

I don't know if they did it yet, but they talked about nerfing the shotgun range to 20m from 40m.

Ever since I first tried the Mosconi and saw how ridiculous OP it is, I knew they were gonna nerf it...sooner or later. On most games a double barrel would be a very close range weapon with massive damage. Instead, you can literally snipe with the thing.

The AK is...alright. It's the best of the assault rifles (sadly), but only just. The damage is like...2-3 headshots to take down a tan unit, and that's assuming you can hit them since it's pretty inaccurate.

Well, I paid $50 because I looked at the first one and saw it was cool, so I wanted to play the beta right away. The beta was really fun because it looked like there was a nice variety of heists and seemed there was more to look forward to since it was capped at 25 and then 30. The problem is the heists are all pretty much rehashes of the ones in the beta, and after level 39 there is NOTHING except skills to spend money on.

I'm sure they're working on DLC, which (hopefully) will address some major gripes about the game, and add more heists, guns, and features.

The problem with the guns, in my mind, is that they're not different enough for me to use that many...and some of them just seem to become obsolete immediately after you unlock the better ones. For instance, I don't see much reason to use the Beretta or Glock over the 1911 or DE. Sure, you get more ammo, but the damage output is so bad it negates that benefit. Same with stuff like the AR-15/M4, TMP, and even the P90.

Yeah, the stats & cost are not correlated with one another. For example, the AK5 is unlocked after the AK762, yet the AK762 is a bottle of whoop-ass compared to the AK5 IMO.

Either they aren't in the right order, or they need balancing.

Then you get guns like the AK5 that suck in both departments. I guess you get more ammo? But that's not really a great balancing point when everyone has ammo bags.

Still, for me 95% of the time it comes down to: Long range? M308. Short/medium range? Mosconi 12G. Then for the secondary I almost always use the Deagle (I don't like the Bronco, it's not a one-shot headshot kill on tans even with upgrades and so it's useless to me), and for stealth I will most of the time just use a Deagle with a Monolith on it. That, or the MP5 with the Ninja addon.

Rumor mill says there is a patch incoming soon to balance guns, nerf shotties, nerf C4, and do some other stuff...maybe add new heists/difficulties? I am a little pissed that they continue to nerf the fun aspects of the game and ignore game-breaking bugs like the ever-present corpse on back, or the intel not being there at all in Rats Day 2.

Ironically the AK5 which is the Swiss Arms (Classic Green) is by far the most accurate gun I have shot and I own an AR 15 there is no comparison. I know USA doesn't have those they got the shitastic Sig 550 and 552. I love my AR15 but I would trade it for a Classic Green Unfortunately they run around 3200 bucks :( Its sad its such a pathetic gun in the game since its an amazing firearm.

Oh no doubt...real world, the AK5 is superior to the AK762 which, I'm assuming is just a standard AK like a WASR-10 or something in 7.62x39. Unless of course it's supposed to be a Krebs custom, Arsenal Inc or something...then it's a bad-ass AK...lol.

However...if SHTF...I'm glad to have the AR platform since I have plenty of spare parts around to fix them if need be.

I've got the foregrip but no stocks other than the Skeletal. I also have no mods for the AK5 despite having it owned as well.

I find it odd that they claim you get items more often for weapons you own, yet I keep getting shit for the Beretta which I've never owned, and no extended mag for the Deagle despite owning two and using it constantly.

I honestly can't think of a weapon mod I haven't gotten yet, but then again I farm cards at least once a night.

1-star Jewelry Stores are only 3 bags, so you'll get a card every 13-22 seconds with 3 guys.
 
Yeah, I've been grinding XP mostly so I guess I need to do more card runs.
 
I pretty much stopped playing since i have been able to do all the maps on overkill. I still jump on from here to here if one of my buddies want to play. I just hope a DLC comes out soon.
 
I still need a few achievements (for some reason Caribbean Pirate won't trigger for me even though I've done it a couple times), want to hit 100 and get more weapon mods. Still having fun with the game overall.
 
Hit level 100 finally...just gotta grind cards and wait for new heists now. Plus I have a few cheevos to do left.
 
I have the mid stock on the AK 7.62 and its nice cause it lessons recoil. My major piss off is the Optics. They are shit I just use Irons. For a 52k Red Dot it sure has shit lens with all kinds of dirt/artifacts on the edges. Fuck a 80 Ebay knock of special looks better. Also the edges of scopes are huge, with proper eye relief the edges would be negligent in field of view.
 
Yeah, I only like the Mildot sights on the M308...other stuff I prefer Surgeon or Professional optics.

Jewelry Store is so fast if you get the right people...we did several 14 second runs with 3 guys, and did a few 19 second runs with only 2 guys. I like to give random people a chance to get cards with us, but a lot of people just fuck around too much...it's unfortunate, but I have to kick them and I hate doing that.

14 secs isn't too bad, the fastest I've ever done it with a good crew was 13 seconds. Although one guy said his screen said 12 secs, which I assume was maybe because he was the first one back to the van.
 
Apparently now the new thing to do is to get to the end of a heist and then just kick everyone before getting money/XP/cards. Joke's on you, assholes...I'm 100, I don't need money or XP. Just playing for the hell of it.

They should really revamp the kick system, though. It's way too vulnerable to trolling like that.

Disagree. What they need is a blacklist and a way to see who you've recently played with. Blacklist someone and you don't see their games and they don't see yours. Don't take away legit players ability to kick an asshole just because some people are trolls.

Payday2 is downloading an 800meg patch right now, so I guess you really meant it when you said "soon" :D
 
Wow yeah, just came out mid-day today. Cool!

Glad to see they added more value for more bags, as well as XP bonus cards. They should have gotten rid of cash cards entirely above level 30 or so IMO, but apparently they boosted them so they are better overall.

No mention of a shotgun nerf...I hope the M308 "damage adjustment" isn't too extreme.

EDIT: Apparently they just nerfed payouts for all jobs and made it so you HAVE to get the extra bags to get anywhere near what you got before. That is NOT the way to fix the problem, Overkill. :rolleyes:

Luckily I don't care about money or XP now but still...

I guess there are titanium safes now that you can't speed run anymore with C4...lol.

And they added a Diamond Store heist?

Wow, bulldozers are no fucking joke now (not that they were before). They take about 2x as much damage in headshots to go down, and they rush your ass and down you in like 1-2 shots now...
 
Yeah, I'm not playing with this patch. They nerf xp/money and increase difficulty to a retarded level, no thanks. Instead of fucking with that maybe add something to spend money on, ie weapons or something.
 
Yeah, they really seem to go out of their way to change things which don't really address the issues the community has, and detract from the overall fun of the game.
 
The Diamond Heist is pretty fun, though I must say the ridiculous strength of bulldozers now makes the game not as fun overall. It wasn't really as if bulldozers were weak in the first place...they took about 6-8 point-blank shots in the head with the Mosconi...now it is about double that, which is ridiculous. They also hit a lot harder and can down you almost instantly even in the next-to-highest-tier armor. On top of that it seems like they've made Overkill spawn an insane amount of enemies and bulldozers almost immediately. Personally, I didn't think Overkill was too easy, as long as you had decent players. Now it's just absurd and not fun.

The Titan safes are kind of a cool concept, but it's a little dumb that they can randomly spawn as any safe, not just in certain missions.

One gripe I have (and this is pre-patch) is that shields are able to spin around way too fucking easily. Not only that, but they can angle the shield down in pretty ridiculous ways, clipping through themselves and the environment to unrealistically block you at any angle. I like the concept of the shield but when they get in a corner and just stand there it is some major bullshit. The Enforcer skill that lets you knock them back is cool, but it should be a Tier 2 or 3 skill at most, not a fucking Tier 6 ACE requirement.
 
Fuck this patch......xp/money got nerfed to shit, and on overkill the bad guys are 2x stronger and your ass goes down fast. Lame as hell.

The shields jump around and move like auto turrets now and are almost impossible to flank 1v1. The tanks are stupid strong and just bull rush you and you are down.

Just stupid as hell......I will either just run Ukranian to get card flips from now on or quit playing altogether.
 
I think you can get Titan safes in Ukrainian now, so good luck farming that anymore. Jewelry heist was always better for cards, anyway.
