Ah, they said they were expecting more next week, must have cancelled some bot orders or something, lol.

I was able to get the XC3 in my cart, but the bots must have been slamming the website because I couldnt get to checkout. By the time that page loaded it was OOS.

Same here. Bastards!
Same exact thing happened here. Got it in my cart, by the time the site un-fucked itself it was gone.
Yeah makes sense, sorry, I'm falling behind on how bad everything is going, lol. This is "next week", they said that last week.
Apparently EVGA is manually reviewing all of the cards that were sold today for bots. According to Jacob from EVGA, the cancelled orders will be put back up on the store as they are found, although may not be immediate.
Yeah his tweet wasn't very clear. I first assumed he meant the cards would be put on the store as soon as they were determined to be from bot orders. But now that I re-read it he said would be put back into stock rotation...whatever that means.I would be curious to know what that yields, though I suspect we will never actually know. Might be they just get in more stock later this week (as they already said) and the "caught" order stock just sort of blends into the woodwork.
For those rushing to get a 3080, check out the HWUB vids below.
These guys basically drop so many hints about the inevitable 20 gb cards and even directly say, "just chill out and play it cool" until after AMD reveals Big Navi and then they mention NVIDIA possibly dropping the MSRP on the 10 GB cards and slotting the 20 GB in their place or slightly more expensive to compete against Navi. They also touch on what MLID said with NVIDIA promising low MSRP cards (e.g. $699) and never finding those cards but instead finding 3080s at $750-$800 means they will start adjusting their price/performance charts in their reviews even after the first day--glad a big reviewer is catching on and repeating what MLID said. FrgMstr Looks like MLID's statements are being repeated now by legit reviewers.
Anyway:
About 20 GB cards and availability timestamp:
Price with cost per frame discussion (Steve echoes what MLID has said):
I find HWUB's honesty quite refreshing, these guys aren't afraid to say stuff vs Tech Jesus who pretends to care but just skirts around issues to stay in NVIDIAs good graces. Then there's Jayz2WorthlessCents who basically just gives Jensen fellatio on camera and apologizes for NVIDIA at every turn.

I wish they would do that every damn week during mid-week madness. These guys have been scalping the $80 GTX 980 TIs for months and months now.

Wonder how they're going to review the orders, if someone hits the site, adds the card to cart, and checks out with all information within 5 seconds or less = bot?Apparently EVGA is manually reviewing all of the cards that were sold today for bots. Thought it was just me. Unlike previous launches I think the reviewers need to stop acting like they are apart of Nvidia's marketing team with Linus/Jay being the worst. It causes some of the launch day problems when you have reviewers doing some pretty ridculous reviews/pre-revews in order to gin up demand for a product that doesn't need it. All launches are kinda rough in the beginning but this is getting ridiculous.I find HWUB's honesty quite refreshing, these guys aren't afraid to say stuff vs Tech Jesus who pretends to care but just skirts around issues to stay in NVIDIAs good graces. There's videos with no benches, a plethora of videos questioning the need for game consoles but somehow never include the Switch, and much more. All of this creates unnecessary hype.
Everyone knows the card is coming. We don't need this extra crap making the situation worse. I miss the no-nonsense aspect of this site. No hype. Just benches.
Evga Should send out send out a code to some of there loyal customer's for some that are in stock. Been buying Evga for probably 14 years now. Hell even if I'm not on that list I think it would a cool thing to do.

If you looked at what I was quoting you would know that I wasn't whining. Instead I was highlighting what some other reviewers have noticed and spoke upon. You're whining and you're just mad because you're on the outside looking in. Get some more self awareness and learn how marketing works. You are just an end user consumer. You have to be worth a lot more money to Nvidia for them to care.
JayZ and Linus are tabloidal celebrities of the gaming hardware world. You're a sucker if you keep up with what they're doing. Don't be a sucker
Got the same EVGA card on Amazon. It's the one I wanted so worked out perfectly. Amazon had the ASUS TUF on sale briefly earlier today as well. I had Distill set up to watch for changes to any of the "Currently unavailable" text on the page. It pinged and I very quickly hit buy now
This is the page I was watching - has all of the 3080s listed
Amazon RTX3080 Listings
All those show as images to me - how did distill manage to pull the text?
K, only the second time I've ever used distill - still fighting with that. It works on each individual card's page, but still throws an error on the "all cards" page. Just TimedOut. I can see it open the page, but I must not understand where to put that (I selected all the individual card components, and then set to that javascript selector).
Even doing that, still get timedout. Meh. Individual card pages are working. Unless you can export yours.
