LOL!! what is the point of a desk that big when there is NOTHING on it... im flabbergasted! :p i do like how clean everything is though. :)

and either that house is new or you got carpet redone because a carpet doesnt stay that plush without a chair mat.

I found a used jerker for ~24 dollars! :D (200 SEK)

I will get it this weekend... It's the black and silver version of it. Don't know more specs since all I got was small pics in mms (from my mom that found it).

so happy! I have this cheap and crappy ikea-table right now, it wiggles when I print stuff with my printer :D

I was wondering what are the differences between the A-legs and T-legs besides the looks? Any structural or physical purposes? I'd like to place a tv on one end of the desk, wondering if either style of legs would be better.
 
my 't' legs are very solid.

I've got a little person who runs around here, and with the 'T legs it's less of a chance for her to trip/hit her head/get in to trouble/etc..., either way, I think you'll be fine.

Just ordered an Ikea Galant dest (63"x31") along with this extension: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S99843756. Also got the cabinet as well. And I'm gonna add that cable management tray under the desk. At the store i saw they have a blue colored power supply that you can put in the tray so hopefully that takes away a lot of the cable clutter. Everything in Beech color.

I'll post pics when it's all set up. Won't ship till Dec 3rd though :( Are they quick with delivery if you live within like 30 miles of one of their stores?

Should have picked it up! :)

Beech was a wise choice. I chose black and have dreaded it. Scratches easily and really shows dust.
 
Wife said I can get a new desk for Xmas . . .going to get one of the big ones from Ikea . . .w00t

Corner Galant, with A legs.

However, I do remember seeing this top in person (at Ikea), and to me, it looked cheaper than the other offerings.

...cheaper, like, Salvation Army cheaper...
 
I was going to get the beech top instead of the white cause i dont like white desks, to 80s for me.
 
just got it from a guy off Craigslist

this desk is very sturdy and roomy, I finally have a place to put all my stuff on :D

Cleaned up my Galant... and organized the peripheral cables. Hard to hide everything when I'm dead set on have the case on my desk. :rolleyes:

ehh,

College student budget + small room with 3 roommates in socal = FTL

Its 100x better compared to my old $10 wood desk I picked up at a garage sale 2 years ago
 
I just got finished rearranging my office and got my first Ikea desk, but its not a Galant or the others you've seen so far on here.

edit - actually what did you pay for the whole thing? that would be an awesome gift for my mums. :p
 
I just realized I had a desk from Ikea, well actually I bought it from the kitchen section because I needed something wide.
