Grim Dawn Alpha starts tomorrow

They also released a little hotfix after that was causing buff potions to vanish lol

- Still waiting on a new Grim Internals for v1.1.9.7 (then I was gonna post as per usual)

First of all, BEHOLD:

Get Grim Dawn: Basically, you theory-craft a toon utilizing Grim Tools (www.grimtools.com) and this prog/website will turn it into a save file!! HUGE REVELATION / Time-Saver

--== As always, the latest links to the usual tools/mods ==--
( Essentials are marked in Bold )

[TOOLS]

GD Stash - For all your "off-site" loot storage needs
- https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/tool-gd-stash/29036

GrimInternals - Lots of visual cues/options to determine DPS among other cool stuff
- https://mega.nz/file/AVFi3Zqb#7OZWZcfzuxdOgzuEs09xsfpwgSBWNwkBRiAy8lNcP-c (Note: the version says PT because it was based on the 1.1.9.7 playtest but still works just fine)

Rainbow Filter - This changes the attribute color of items (easily the BEST mod/tool on the entire list.)
*Rainbow filters for both Dawn of Masteries AND Grimarillion are now available
- Dawn of Masteries Rainbow - https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/dawn-of-masteries/94373/118
- Grimarillion Rainbow - https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/rel-grimarillion-v84/46587/1433

[MODS]

Grim UI - a larger inventory/stash among other similar features (Note: this is technically a mod and thus cannot be run with other mods. Hence why it's included in DoM and GM)

Dawn of Masteries - Includes a plethora of mods all in one tidy package (Highly recommended)

Grimarillion - Similiar to DoM but with some different mods and this guy is who made the Titan Quest classes (so you get more frequent updates somewhat)

Reign of Terror - A COMPLETE remake of Diablo 2+Exp, including the map etc etc. Definitely the most ambitious mod we've got atm..

Diablo 3 Definitive Edition - the same D3 classes included in DoM and Grimarillion, merely the latest version/it's own mod
- https://forums.crateentertainment.c...finitive-edition-reuploaded-pt-br-de-de/35207

== And that covers/updates everything I consider noteworthy but, bear in mind there's plenty more available on the official GD forum. ==

(y)

EDIT:

I'd say if you're looking for a "fresh experience": download Dawn of Masteries + the appropriate Rainbow Filter file. (Along with maybe GD Stash and Grim Internals).

Likewise, if you want a very good but different rendition of D2 Remastered - I'd just install Reign of Terror and call it a day. (New version coming VERY SOON - Even though it's already feature-complete. They're just balancing/bug-fixing)

Well, that was fast....

Dawn of Masteries 1.4.0a
  • Grimarillion updated to v86a
  • bugfixes
DoM 1.40a : https://www.moddb.com/mods/dawn-of-masteries/downloads/dom

DoM 1.40a Rainbow Filter : https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/dawn-of-masteries/94373/118#

NOTE: You also NEED to download this updated script file or else the token system WILL NOT WORK! (for either 1.40 or 1.40a).
- copy and overwrite "script.arc" in the mods "dom\resources\" directory

https://forums.crateentertainment.com/uploads/short-url/dFYZkjYEzoXvFZ8bxEgPReWDuds.zip

** If and when the mod creator re-uploads DoM with the updated script included, I'll just update this post.

I need to roll a brand new character and get back into this game.. I remember it being gorgeous and immersing.. I took my witch hunter in a weird direction with skills and weapons and at a certain point the game got very tough.. I think I just need to start over fresh and build on my classes' strengths.

Are you really still playing GD, horrorshow? if so that's pretty crazy! how many hours you got into it, if you don't mind me asking?

cool. I gave up years ago after all my characters got nerfed so bad, kinda just lost interest after that. I got 819.4 hours logged on steam, myself.

Yeahhhh, when they nerfed Pierce dmg, my Tactician (dual-wield pistoleer) took quite a beating....

my aether ray build lost like 85k dps, where I was doing over 225k before. My firestiker was basically neutered, as well as my lightning/reflect shaman. Terrible. Wasn't even about to try to rework all that.

Recently, I've been playing Hardcore-only toons on Veteran....

Oh the expletives I've shouted after midnight these past few weekends :ROFLMAO:

Horrorshow, I'm revisiting this game again. GF and I are going through it co-op. I see all the mods and it's a little overwhelming. Should we play through it vanilla or install DoM or what? Also, how do you install all these mods?

If I'm on steam is the grim dawn settings dir in the documents\mygames\grimdawn dir?

From the GD dev's:

"It would seem GI is having some issues with compatibility lately and GlockenGerda has (reasonably) moved on?"

:( A sad, sad day.

= No more Grim Internals support past the current version 1.1.9.7 - and 1.1.9.8 is gonna be released in the "next week or two"

- So, download your GoG versions of 1.1.9.7 with all the respective mods while you still can.... Lor' knows I already have

End of an era.
