Fallout 4

GAME DAY! i'm definitely staying up late tonight to put some time into this.

How buggy is this thing fellas? I'm still going through my FO3 and FO:NV marathon, so I'll probably wait anyway.

Game has 400 hours of content going to spend the least amount as possible.
with the DLC it's going to add a few hundred more?

so is it confirmed that vsync is forced on? if it's anything like Skyrim don't mess with it. as mentioned earlier in this thread it f's up world object physics and time of day (at least in Skyrim). pots and pans go flying across the room, traders are closed mid day when they should be open, etc. etc.

Get stuck after I exit computer terminals, and have to reload sigh. got thru the one you have to use in the beginning though after a few tries. No one else?

stupid question, how do I exit the power armor? Only thing I can find on the net is 'hold cross/A' I have no idea what that means, console reference maybe?
Also checked my Acer OSD, monitor is at 144hz without any special modding during game.

VPNd from Australia and I'm loaded and ready to go. Unfortunately now I'm at work, but planning on getting at least 8 hours in tonight.

oh jesus oh jesus oh jesus today desu right? now its sinking in me fallout 4 bro nooo!! :D:D:D

Drivers can't fix Gameworks. Nothing can fix Gameworks.

Oh dear, this horseshit again..

Its not a BlameWorks title, there are no Nvidia exclusive graphical features.
Graphic settings can be adjusted.
Nothing can fix AMD not bothering to release a game ready driver.

New drivers are out.

It is also for Battlefront and Starcraft 2

No. No it's not. lol

Check the nvidia site, 358.91 is not there yet.

Guru3d put a page up for it but the links are still for 355.87.

It should be up before the end of the day though, I reckon.

EDIT: They were pulled apparently. Issues I'll assume

People who are playing plz post some screenshots (PNG) at max settings and use http://www.picpar.com/ to host the images. Wanna see if the PC version looks better than what wer have seen so far with all of the Nvidia specific settings.

And let us know about the performance and mouse feel (acceleration, floaty, laggy, smooth, etc). Thanks.

-NPC's getting stuck on objects
-I frequently got stuck on computer terminals when I would exit the terminal menu. My characters head would spin around where I pointed the mouse but seemed like the rest of the body was going nowhere. -I messed around but couldnt get unstuck without loading a quicksave
-the structure menu (when in workshop mode) menu can be confusing if you dont know you have to hold shift to navigate left and right, this really irritated me, but im getting used to it

played about 4 hours. zero hangs or crashes. the graphics are really sub-par (IMO) but I look forward to patches and mods!

Good ole Bethesda :D

i have the computer terminal issue as well, i always make sure to quick save before every terminal in case i get stuck.

as for graphics, i think the game looks really good.

Par for the course for a Bethsoft game. I don't like it, but I've come to expect it going all the way back to the Arena and (especially) Daggerfall days.
Hopefully saving via a gamepad is quick as I'm rocking this one with the 360 pad.

Any recommendations on settings for an old HD 7950? I'm assuming mostly high. I don't NEED 60FPS, but it would be nice.

Also, do we just need to run the VPN to unpack or continue running the VPN while playing?

Mostly mids, some lows I would suspect, as early benches have 390x 1080P at less than 60FPS average on high.

Subjective obviously. FWIW I just watched about 10 minutes of Cohh playing it on Twitch and *really* like what I see in not just graphics but movement, combat, gunplay, UI improvements, general flow and overall gameplay. I'm playing this game to explore and loot, and it seems to deliver that in spades.

I guess my first playthrough will be Survival Difficulty, since it increases chance of legendary enemy spawn which in turn increases chance of legendary weapon drops.

Wait...you can't get legendary weapon drops below Survival difficulty?

pretty sure you have improved legendary creature spawns in survival, like there is a higher chance they will spawn, they should still spawn on lower ones.

I am playing on survival tho i see no point in lowering it.

Yep, it's definitely a Bethesda game. Can't use mouse and keyboard if a controller is plugged in haha. Yes yes, petty gripe and I haven't even started the game yet. Still, it already reeks of "old engine" :)

No, I edited that. My understanding is Survival Difficulty isn't a requirement to see Legendary enemies, it's just the mode that has the max chance of seeing them spawn.

I played Witcher 3 on Death March and it was fun as hell. I think max difficulty is always worth at least trying.

Looks like even budget systems (i3/750ti) are able to get higher fps and IQ than the consoles.

So can someone tell me, if you play in offline mode when you do connect online does it still give you the achievements and things you got while offline?

I really wouldn't advise anyone sending their Steam password over a free VPN.

it should only be an issue if your steam password is the same as any of your logins on any other site, if your steam password is unique, it doesn't matter if someone knows your password as they can't access your account without also having your email password to get the security code.

I think only a fool would use the same password on their email as they do for steam. hehe :)

can you rebind all the controls or is it one of those games where you can't or it wont let you use they keypad or some shit?

peasant graphics for console peasants duh, what you were expecting?

Because some of the images floating around earlier this week didn't show this drastic of a difference from the PC to PS4. The fact that a i3/750ti is blowing the consoles out of the water on this title makes it easier to convince my gf to play it on my pc -- she wants to get it on the ps4, but I want my Tv so I can watch football on the weekends, lol. :D

There is a full list of key bindings in the settings. I haven't actually tried to change any of them, but it stands to reason that you could.
