Nope.
Biggest problem is the super lame "only 1 mission at a time thing".
If they fix that and you could just do missions you sign up for along the way when you encounter them (instead of driving across the entire world or in circles), it would be 10000x better.
Like Oblivion, quests just add up and you can do them whenever, whenever you come across one, or systematically as you move across the map etc.

Nobody complainted about Gordon Freemans lack of personality... Jack Carver didn´t have much either.
I can understand that the COD people that want non stop action don´t like this game but seriously as a sandbox fps it´s great fun.
It just gets more interesting the more I play.
Love stop the convoy missions though a bit to easy since I invested in the bombs lol... Blow up the first car then snipe the rest. Sure it´s not the perfect game nothing is though Ubisoft is great making us believe it every time of course but seriously all that matters in sandbox fps games is the combat.
The mouse lag need to be fixed for sure that is the only major issue with this game except for that I don´t see a reason to label it Far Cry 2 doesn´t have that much in common.

At least once a year there has to be at least one game, on average, where the hype is unbelievable and is even helped out by propogandic glowingly high reviews and the game ends up being...way the hell less.
...
I fully expect Fallout 3 to be a much better game than Far Cry 2 as well.

I can't wait for the Fallout 3 hate thread
I even think the first Far Cry is a much better game overall (until the aliens show up) vs. Far Cry 2 right now in its present state. As different as they are from each other, I think Dead Space is a much better game and better at what it does vs. the way Far Cry 2 is right now.
I fully expect Fallout 3 to be a much better game than Far Cry 2 as well. That's my two cents on it all.
Indeed....in short order the GOW2 and Fallout 3 hate threads will be monopolizing the threads.
And yet there are many others, including myself, loving this game. At least on the 360 that is. I haven't experienced it on the PC.
Then again, we all know that the PC isn't getting the same love it used to, so they must be neglecting it![]()
No the game runs fine on PC and it's one of the first DX10 games to actually run better in DX10. The game got everything it needed to run great on PC except being fun. Unless the 360 version is drastically different (it's the same) then I won't like it on there either.
I haven't played it, but have been terribly disappointed reading through this thread. Far Cry is definitely a top 3 game for me. Makes you wonder how these studios are able to do it once, and then fuck up the sequels sooooooo bad. It's like a band having one hit song, and then never being able to make the charts again. One hit wonder.
I see the fundamental flaw with all Crytek games has reared it's head once again. Excellent graphics with awesome visuals attached to a boring game with limited AI and shabby storyline. I uninstalled this after the first mission, along with Crysis...I should've known better.
That reminds me... has anyone actually had AI jump out of the way when you try to run them over? They just stand there for me... kinda lame.
No but an antelope did.
Antelope=smart, AI enemy=dumb.![]()
