Just started playing this...pretty legit game. I do wish the textures were better as a lot of the environment ones are pretty darn bad. I assume it has something to do with the art style of the game, but they could at least look sharper.
Just beat it earlier today. It's damn good. I wish it was more open world and more powers. It's a bit limited.
I wish they'd do like Bethesda did with Skyim and put out a nice high res texture pack for this.
The game has a lot going for it but that would really put the visuals over the top.
fuck that. The art style is amazing. You don't need high res texture to make a game look great.

Get SweetFX: http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/sweetfx_shader_suite_download.html
copy/paste these settings into your SweetFX_settings.txt: http://whoisjimothy.com/public/dishonored/sweetfx_dishonored_01.txt
It's like playing a different game .. it looks 10000000000000000 times better.

Any mods to make the eyes skill/spell not have that horrible filter? And does it work for batman? Cuz I stopped playing batman cuz of that.
I might get a man crush on you for this.![]()

I posted a couple screens of the SweetFX injector in the super high res screenshot thread, though I didn't think to link to the page that had it. I bumped the brightness back up a few notches though because darker areas were incredibly dark, and I hated having to run around with the vision spell activated all the time.
Basically, but if you want to use the same settings you'll also need to copy over the game's .ini files too.
Whoah, wait a minute, what do you mean? I want to make sure I don't screw something up here.
So far, what I did is I downloaded the file. I copied and pasted that stuff into where Dishonored's .exe is. I then hit that second link that guy put up with suggested Dishonored settings, copied and pasted that into the correct .txt file, saved those changes, and that was it.
Did I miss a step?
As long as you meant the DishonoredEngine.ini that's it.

You didn't screw up, but he also posted his DishonoredEngine.ini settings which, AFAIK is just an optional step. It's probably not necessary, because I think the only thing in there that's different is probably the brightness/gamma settings. Which I ended up bumping up a bit anyway because it was way too dark in dark places.
This game was great for one playthrough. That's it for me...
People are actually going through this multiple times...?![]()
Cool.
There's two endings.
I have two nipples. You don't see me bragging about those though. That came out wrong.
Meh, I just don't want to play it twice. I googled the other ending.
