Is this game really finicky about the Ghost requirement?
I used this to play with the AA settings but my GTX480 would dip below 60FPS with the 4X settings so I dropped it to 2X and it was fine. Judging from the quality, the game uses 2X MSAA natively. 4X MSAA really got rid of the ugliness, though.
Rats - very low chance
Dogs - ruin it
Weepers - civilians, so yes
This game is friggen amazing, I love the play style, I love the way it's structured, also the story-line wasn't too bad, 'cept it could have been better.
By doing....what? It's easy to say it, now explain how it could be better.
LOL, it's just a drive by comment man, not a federal case.
Well no, I mean. I see it all the time. I'm generally curious to what could be made better. I've got very little I'd change about the the game, but none of it includes the story. I was thinking more along the line of a few bugs etc. I'd just like to know what others consider needs changing, if anything.![]()
I'm just messin' with ya.Me, too.
What few complaints I might have about this game are just minor quibbles, really, so I'd be interested to hear from the folks who suggest needed improvement and what they have in mind as well.
Story I was very satisfied with.
I had to go in really early today, and I'm staying all day as well. Don't mess with me!!![]()
...what's up other than that?
You have my utmost pity, believe me.
Really starting to feel that Hitman craving kick up.![]()
Going to be interesting to see what...if any...kind of DLC or other support Dishonored gets. There's definitely some potential here even if they used a different character for different situations.
I'd be all over some DLC, think we'll get some soon?
Well I finsihed it. Didn't take too long. I wouldn't say more than 15 hours. I didn't like the ending/
When I was making my way through the light house, I found a lot of elixir and health along with rods and pistols. Yet when saving emily, all I needed to do was blink and catch her.
Other than that I thought the game was great. Waiting for some DLC
I don't consider weepers as civilians...they've transformed into zombies so they should be considered enemies...civilians are the NPC's who are friendly to you
Blink, catch? What did I miss. All I did was kill Havelock and then open the door where Emily was.
Interesting. Alternate endings? I had to climb all the way to the top of the light house. When I opened the door, he had Emily at the edge threatening to jump. I just had to blink and hit F to "catch her." Roll credits.
Ah, that must be part of the different endings. I heard you get different endings based on how you played the game, your chaos levels and what not.
Spoiler about my ending, don't read if you want to replay with different Chaos levels.
In my game when I got to the top of the tower Havelock was there quite drug and the other two, Pendleton and Overseer Martin seemed to be dead in chairs around a table. Probably poisoned by Havelock.
What chaos level did you play? Mine was high.
The bad thing about email alerts with subscribed threads...spoiler tags don't work.
I killed Pendleton on the stairs on the way to the lighthouse elevator. Overseer Martin was on the other side of the map, I didn't kill him.
The high chaos is one where you blink to save emily. Low chaos you only open a door to save her.
Question:
That particular detail really matters?
Well, you wouldn't want anyone to know WHAT you really are. Haha.![]()

It was definitely built to run on consoles but of course that can be fixed by externally applying MSAA and messing with the INI file. I think you can adjust the FOV from the INI as well.I loaded this from Steam last night.....used my son's account as he had already played through.
I found it to be graphically weak and in Surround the FOV is so compressed I felt like I had tunnel vision.
I also found the mechanics to be clunky and the character to be uncharacteristically slow.
Unless you can correct the FOV greater than 85 I find this to be a real disappointment.

I've blown out most I remember from this game after playing Borderlands 2 but I think you can increase the character's speed through bone charms or leveling (can't remember). You'll use the Blink (teleport) ability to get around faster sometimes.
