Diablo 3 Discussion Thread

Put it up for $50 bid or $90 buy-out and it sold within an hour. Think I under priced it? Was thinking of replacing my 6.5% crit chance source, but mine gives me higher damage because of the INT differential.

If it sold that quickly, probably. I've been wondering about the crit situation. Are people just so hellbent on crit that they don't care if it's actually a dps boost or not? I sold some crit chance/damage ring for 20 bucks when it didn't have any primary stats. It was definitely not a dps boost over my current rings. Is there some kind of breaking point to be achieved with crit? I guess it could be useful for something like the Wizard's passive Critical Mass (reduces CDs by 1 second per crit), but I'm not sure if it's that critical (no pun intended).

it sold at that price primarily because of the AP per crit

certain Wizard builds open up once enough crit is stacked which can make use of the AP generation per crit

mine's only 62- 288, but the 135 with extra socket (46 INT) makes a huge difference.

Ever since I got my crit% so high (50.5% with scoundrel) I've swapped out hydra for meteor and the 20% Blur passive with critical mass. It's nice to have Diamond Skin come up so much more often than the 15 second CD that it defaults to. Works even better when I pair with a Barb because I can just spam the Meteor over and over. The Meteor gives me a couple crits and can lower the CD of Diamond Skin by a few seconds for each mob that it hits.

I think I may be obsessed with crit% however... paid an obscene amount for a 241 INT, 6% crit chance helm today. 699 armor was the icing on the cake.

Anyone on right now, and would be willing to help me kill Belial? (northrop#1604)

Monk class, somewhat under-geared and under-powered, but still managed to clear A2. Belial is an ass however, and I can only get him to the half way mark before getting killed again... and again :(

edit. got him. cocksucker.

whatever. sounds like a good buy and a good upgrade :)

Coming from 195 INT, 5.5% crit chance, it only offered a 2k dps upgrade. Immediately after I put it on, I did have a little buyer's remorse. Especially since it practically drained my account.

I meen how much gold did it cost you, stop dodging the question :D

I need to upgrade my helm, got an Andarials visage, need to spend 20 million on a 1h too.

aw i thought you were coming from something like... no crit haha :D

I don't see why not, unless it's random low level crap. But it would probably need it's own trade thread just to keep this thread free of spam.

I sold two items on the RMAH for a total of ~7.50 yesterday (after fees). This was stuff that wouldn't even sell on the GAH.

I don't understand people.

Hey PiXel, mind if I plug that amulet on the d2jsp trophy room? They'd love to see it. :p

lol go ahead. but i cringe at when i look at it now knowing how cheap i sold it.

But wouldnt Item level 63 produce the perfect roll?

Anyway how much is this worth guys, my luck is pretty jokes atm

My intelligence one sold for 16m (with bad stat rolls I might add), so I would think a dex one should fair pretty well. Good luck man :p
Just checked - lowest 130+ dex skull grasp is 30m ahah. Nice.

Looks exactly the same as my Skull Grasp, bought it about 2 weeks ago for 4.5m but now for some reason the value has increased at least 5 times over.

And there are no ilvl63 rings or amulets, so 62 is your best bet.

Made my first big sale today:

Listed it for $100 start, $200 B/O and it sold for the buyout after a day and a half!

Wow fantastic find dude, but like me and my mistake you should list it for top dollar.

Ya, I might have left some money on the table, hard to say. It sat for a bit so I don't feel it was greatly under-priced.

Would have sold for 250 easy. The life on hit on that is pretty high. The armor and critical damage are fantastic as well.

I knew Skull Grasp rung a bell. The flavor text is also a pretty big hint. It was one of those duped rare rings in D2. I don't think I was around when it was a big deal, but its pretty funny that stuff like this have been added to the game. The Oculus Ring is also a gag about a hacked ring in D2.

Question for you guys, do you farm a1, a2, or a3? To find those godly Ammys and rings?

I was farming Act 3 yesterday and found an ilvl 62 ammy with over 200 Int, 70 vit, 9% IAS and some lightning resist. It would have been a killer sale back when IAS was all the rage, but probably not worth as much now. 9% is the max possible, so it might catch for something good. I'm personally using it now though.

edit: I put ilvl 63 ammy earlier without thinking. Not possible :p

They can drop from any act, just a higher chance of getting them in Act 3. Stat rolls of the items themselves are entirely random and it doesn't matter where you get them or how much MF you're wearing.

I wear these 2 pieces of gear for farming act 1

It's the only act i farm atm till i get a decent weapon, oh yeah and the Amulet dropped in festering woods btw so Top items really do drop anywhere in inferno.

Looking to sell a monster Barb belt or trade for a 1k DPS 1 hander preferably a ceremonial knife.

Just made lvl 60 beating the last boss in act 3 on hell.

Looked at the AH... everything is in the millions!! I only have 74k... how am I supposed to afford anything in the AH now?!

It's easy, this is what you do...

Just farm ques....oh wait they nerfed the amount of gold from quest rewards
You can always just break vas....oh wait they destroyed the gold you get from vases because bots caused them to nerf it so they did rather than going after bots, they also said breaking vases wasn't fun so
Well you can always farm act 1 infer....hmm well, you can try farming hell in hopes of getting an upgrade in a few days/weeks
Another option is to sell high level ite...well yeah

Lets be serious here, in Blizzards words: REAL MONEY AUCTION HOUSE BABY

Do you need the gear that is worth millions? And what gear are you looking at exactly? There is plenty of gear in the sub 1m range. If you can do Act 3-4 Hell you should be relatively fine in Act 1 Inferno. If you can farm Act 1 Inferno, you should be able to make at least 1m a day with ~5 runs.

You dont need the top of the line gear for Act 1. Put a max buy out price of what you can afford and start there. Act 4 Hell drops Ilvl61-62 I think. Farm that. Also how can you only have 74k. What did you waste it on.
