Did I go overboard on my Monk or something? At 58 (still) he has some ~44khp.

HP is kind of meaningless without resists and armor... this is especially true for monk with so many heals. Lower HP + high reduction = better heals.
Quivers weren't touched. 12% is low on a quiver.
I lost about 20k dps and this was simultaneous with the nether tentacles nerf. I'm all for balance... but making sweeping changes that completely destroys your gameplay experience is too much. If I'm not enjoying my character anymore, then I'm done. Was hoping 1.03 would motivate me to play more but it's done the opposite. The xbow I paid 13.5 million for is now worth less than 4 mill due to the IAS nerf. The most mind boggling decision ever was for Blizzard to touch weapon itemization. Stupid stupid stupid.
My barb can faceroll inferno now... just need to spam the button for revenge and afk watch the NBA finals. Not very fun though. No real motivation to progress either since I've already cleared inferno. Sigh.
EDIT: Not sure how it double posted when I edited...
Still lacking in resists, but the AC seems to be fine. As it is, he is multiplayer only. Keeping people alive and absorbing damage isn't an issue (yet).
As far as I can tell, in total, there are only two TOTAL sources of gold destruction: repairs and the cut Bliz takes from IGG AH sales. So they increase the repair costs. It's a tax, pure and simple.
So what is the best place to get resistances then? Or should I say "place"
My monk was doing alright until last night after the new patch, granted he isnt very high and I just downed Belial in Normal. Ran into a couple of mob packs that normally wouldnt have phased me but these dropped me like an prom baby into a dumpster... Figured it was my resists that were killing me but wasn't sure. Guess I need to craft/look for/AH some new gear..
You don't need resists until late Hell. Inferno is were it really starts to matter. Just pick up some cheap dexter/vitality gear on the AH and a good set of high dps weapons. So what is the best place to get resistances then? Or should I say "place"

The nerf to elite packs in inferno was a step in the right direction. The enrange timer on belial and the constant gas cloud spam from grom is ridiculous. I went from running belial in inferno with 5 stacks to being constantly blown up by his enrage timer. They must have the A team on pvp, and let whoever the fuck else code the patches.
Diablo 3 is getting to the point of being laughable. We are currently playing the Beta and maybe in 6 months they will get everything ironed out.

They're basically ruining one of their franchises.
There is no A team.
Their changes remind me of a lewis black quote: We didnt do shit before, and now were like Oh Fuck, we gotta do everything!'"
IIRC a lot of them went to the team that developed Torchlight and is working on Torchlight II. Got my preorder in! For $20 it'll be worth it - Torchlight was fun! Also many of the original Blizzard people, who worked on both D2/Warcraft and things left.
Most went on to form Arenanet (Guild Wars developers) and the short lived Flagship studio (Hellgate london).
Torchlight came from Flagship. (Flagship Seattle to be exact). At the time it was just a tech demo called Mythos. After Flagship disbanded, the team took Mythos and renamed it to Torchlight.IIRC a lot of them went to the team that developed Torchlight and is working on Torchlight II. Got my preorder in! Gotcha, thanks for the clarification.Torchlight came from Flagship. (Flagship Seattle to be exact). At the time it was just a tech demo called Mythos. After Flagship disbanded, the team took Mythos and renamed it to Torchlight.

Sure, HandiSoft took assets/name but Flagship Seattle turned into Runic and made the same game. You forget that Mythos is still alive and an active project. So Flagship didn't take and rename Torchlight, they made a new game.
In case nobody knows this.. any blue that is ilvl61+, should be salvaged and not vendered for the most profit. The inferno essences sell for 2k+ on the AH(and they go fast). Most of these blues vender under 1k so its worth it.
I'm gonna throw this out there, I can craft +6 property helms for WD and Monk. I'll craft for 25k + mats. Craft costs 91k, so 115k + mats. Same mats for either

I've noticed a startling drop-off in D3 population tonight... almost my entire friends list offline, only around 2000 public games. It was like 10K+ pre-patch. Auctions have barely moved at all though they sold within minutes previously. I can understand why people have stopped playing, this game has taken a sharp downward trend since 1.0.3.
