Deus Ex : Mankind Divided

On the bright side I might finally cave to Win 10 by then and will play it with DX 12 settings.

Seems good but I hope that was recorded on a console because it looks a bit too dated. The last game wasn't ground breaking either, but the facial animations seem off. Might be the video having synching issues with the audio though. Looks like there will be some brighter environments to which isn't a band thing, but they looked a bit bland. Kind of liked the darker art direction of the first game.
 
It's looking VERY good. Pretty excited myself. With this, Doom, Mirror's Edge, No Man's Sky, etc. I'll be very busy.
 
will definitely be playing this but can't say I'm dying with anticipation...it's no Dark Souls 3 or even Uncharted 4

I'm REALLY enjoying Dark Souls 3. Like, REALLY REALLY enjoying it. But... It's no Deus Ex... :p

Never played an Uncharted game, so no comment there.

Wow, for me those games are not even in the same league with Deus Ex. Good games in their own right, but Deus Ex is in my top 3 of all time.

  3. Half-Life franchise
Also, it seems Square Enix Store is the only one selling the Collector's Edition for PC so far. I'd much prefer to get my Amazon Prime Pre-order sale price.

So if I get the Collector's Edition, do I have to install the game from DVDs? Ugh...lol.
 
Man, I called Amazon customer service to ask if they were going to get in the PC Collector's Edition. This Asian sounding woman had to have been high or sleep talking to me. After 15 minutes of asking and explaining the same question over and over to her, she had no response for me. I couldn't even get a canned customer service response from her. It was like talking to someone suffering with the late stages of Alzheimer's disease or Groundhog Day. Drug addicts have longer attention spans. This was the only time that calling Amazon was pointless.

Uncharted games are overrated. Especially 3. My friends who seemed pretty diehard for the games were all utterly disappointed. I was worst, but I'm barely a fan of them at all.

Mankind Divided can't come soon enough.

It was pushed back... think January? Or November?

Maybe a month or so ago I think. I remember when they announced it. Not too bad though. There is a pretty decent stream of games releasing over the next three months or so it seems.

Eh? A little more than a month ago is when it was supposed to be released. They announced the delay over 5 months ago.

Unless I missed a joke somewhere...

I was making a joke about my own previous post. Not yours. You inadvertently corrected my timeframe. I thought I heard about the delay only a month or so ago. Then realized after your post it had been closer to half a year. I should have quoted both our posts...
 
Uh, what did they seem to reveal? I mean, it's a trailer, and all I really remember is them setting up the setting, and presenting you with a kill or no kill way to complete it.
 
I hope I'm wrong--but it feels like I know the entirety of the first 1/4 or 1/3 of the game. Who i'm going to be chasing, where they are, what i'll be facing, and what i'll have at my disposal.
 
With HR as a reference.... I'm going to guess the level that has been shown over and over again, including in this trailer, it's probably the first level... much like Zeke ( I think his name is) in HR.

My one concern is whether SE has further watered down the RPG aspects, not that there was much left of it in HR, but MD looks much more focused on action and combat.

Yeah it seems like square store is the only ones that are selling it. I'd also like to get the collector's edition but from amazon or best buy so I can get 20% off.

Based on their past advertisement, I'm guessing we saw no more than snipets from the Intro cinematic and gameplay from the first mission. I wouldn't be too worried.

You haven't watched all the trailers clearly. In videos released last year, they showed the upgrade trees and paths. But I think SE is very wise to portray the game the way they are. Not as an action game per se, but to have it be story and character driven. Which is what most of the trailers show.

Gameplay of course is king. I'm pretty sure this game is built on-top of all the same engine and core mechanics of the previous game. Sort of like the progression of the Fox engine with MGS games.
 
The new trailer looks great, really excited about this game now. You can tell the sound track is going to be epic based on the music in the trailer, and that was a big part of the ambiance in HR.

Looking good. It was jarring as hell though the new voice for Sarif compared to the old voice. Hate it when I get so used to a voice in a game and they change it.

Oh well, minor quibble. Still counting down the days until it launches!

Agreed on all points. I'll get over Sarif after a few minutes when everything else is kicking ass. ;)
 
Damn I can't wait for this. After I'm done Witcher 3 B&W this is my next big game. Maybe I'll play Mirror's Edge if it drops to 50% off sale before Deux Ex release.
 
Since when is Sarif english? F**** the illuminati or freemasons or the Kenedy assassination, This change in voice is easilly the biggest conspiracy presented in the game!

Sarif: Well, I realized when we were talking about your hiring, I sounded way too harsh. I decided to get an augment to sound more soothing.

I hate to bring up pre-orders, but this game is $33 over at cdkeys.com right now.

Human Revolution was awesome and this one is shaping up to be the same.
