Deus Ex : Mankind Divided

The extra mission for DX:HR was a Tracer Tong mission, not the Missing Link DLC which was indeed sold separately. To my knowledge the only way to get the Tracer Tong mission was to either pre-order at GameStop or wait for the DC.. perhaps you cuold buy it separately and i wasn't aware?

Both the preorder packs, explosive (with the Tong mission) and tactical, were available as separate buyable DLCs a month after the release of the original game.

I did not know that. Of course i'd probably already beaten it by the time they came out.

So they are applying all the bonuses but not the release date fix. I am tempted to pick this shit up now.

Just because they ditched the fairly hated scheme does not mean they will deliver a game worth buying on faith alone. Keep that in mind ;)

Exactly my quandary. At the end of the day, it's still a pre-order and one gets a lesser experience if they wait to see the quality of the game. Stupid pre-orders.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided Hands On: “All Signs Suggest It’s An Improvement On Its Predecessor In Every Way”

the locations of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided have been gutted, hollowed out and repurposed...Eidos Montreal allowed us free reign to explore two locations in their upcoming sequel and all of the evidence points toward a more confident and reactive approach to first-person shooting and sneaking...

You realize they created an awesome game called DX: Human Revolution, yes? That's a little more insight into their ability to deliver a good game than "faith alone".

For those of you thinking about playing (or re-playing) the original Deus Ex before the new game hits, the Revision mod just got released as a DLC for the Steam version of Deus Ex.

See the comments in this article about the surprisingly well-received updated soundtrack (you can still use the beloved original soundtrack if you prefer that).

Very exciting. Thanks for the heads up!

That should make it nice and fresh =D

A minor quibble, but its actually a mod on Steam, not DLC.

Didn't realize this was coming out in Feburary, that's not that far away. I never played the original or IW but I really really enjoyed Human Revolution. Powering my way through Dragon Age: Inquisition now, should be done soon, then I need to get through Witcher 3 before February.

After I decimated the dragons, DAI held little to no interest for me. It was the same for DAO.

Anyway, Never played Deus Ex original, either. Just bought it today, since I've been waiting on a sale. Got it for a bit over a buck. The mod is out... what do you mean it's coming out on february?

Ah that makes sense. The previous couple of posts were on the revision, so I didn't connect that the posting went back to DE:MD.

In case anyone hadn't noticed, it's up for pre-order on GMG now. I'm waiting for a 30% off code to snag it.

New trailer featuring some of Adam 2.0's new arm weapons. Why can't I shake the feeling that it's Keanu Reeves doing the voice work here

woo! going to be sweet.

Why don't companies ever have talented folks play the game when they make these trailers though? Always cracks me up how horrible they are at playing the game they're demoing...

woo! going to be sweet.

I'm not sure what I'm more excited for - the game, or a new Michael McCann soundtrack. Both are sure to be epic, you already hear the new music seeping through in the trailers.

Nah man, I think that's like the most popular Deus EX MD video.

Delayed to August 2016.

Bummer for all the people that blind-upgraded to Windows 10 just for DX12, believing those games would be around the corner.

NoOOOooOOoOOOOooo!

But I do prefer a delay over a crappy product. Square Enix has been doing some really good shit lately. So I do have hope for it's quality.

Good things are worth the wait. I'm really excited for this game. DX:HR was probably my favorite new game to come out in at least 5 years. It was very unexpected. I didn't think it would be as good as it was. I am definitely trying to temper my expectations on this one, but if it's "just as good" as the last one, I'll be satisfied. If they add any more level of polish etc, that will be just gravy. It seems of course they are though, notably with the new cover system and different upgrades.

(And also this is why DirectX should be abandoned by developers in favor of open source APIs like OpenGL. Being beholden to DX12 is just ridiculous. And Windows 10, worse).

XCOM 2
Mirror Edge Catalyst
Far Cry Primal

All the same month. I'm ok with this delay.

rather have it released polished than have another Batman or AssCreed.......

Got plenty to do in the meantime.:D

Are all versions of the game delayed, or just the PC version? I don't mind delays as long as it isn't just the PC version being marginalized.

At this point, it's become almost encouraging when a hyped game is delayed, rather than rushing garbage out the door.

Agreed on all points!

That's interesting - they advertised for pre-orders heavily.

Perhaps they took all the pre-order money and were like, "hey--we have the money to do these couple things on our wishlist now!"

If all versions have been delayed, I think that's a good thing. I'd much rather wait for a more worthy product than get some half-baked version. I don't care if it's on DX9 as long as it's a good game and it runs well.

Or, perhaps they took all the pre-order money, and were like "hey! we got their money already, why make a game?!?!?!" :p hehehe

Huge loss for AMD, they needed this one to push early DX12 adopters.

It'll be comedy if Vulkan games start coming out first. Although that could still end up being advantageous for AMD if GCN is able to demonstrate any advantage there.

Agree with this. I don't care at all when games are pushed back, I've got more of a backlog than I will ever get through and I care about quality. I also never pre-order, and if I do, it's the day before release for the purpose of getting some day zero DLC or whatever. Pre-ordering any more than a day before release is an interest free loan to the publisher.
