I feel the same way about people already saying it'll be a GOTY.
Ahh okay, thanks. That shit was seriously driving me up a tree.
Except it will be GOTY?
Also, no problem.

Did anyone get their actual key from AMD yet?
Finally a REAL review with PC gaming footage and not just console video rehashes that have been out there fro months!

Loved BS1, was very happy with BS2, gonna have to add this to my collection ASAP!
I didn't mean it that way, sorry.
Still--nothing but perfect reviews? too suspect.
Whenever i see reviews like these, I remind myself of my own experience with Skyrim. Everyone was gushing over that game. I did too, for about 3 weeks. In those 3-weeks i was enamored... i would have given it a 10/10 too! Then i realized that the game was actually quite shit in many regards and, without mods, it would have been a turd of a game.
"too many" perfect reviews? now you're just reaching....
Comparing Skyrim to the Bioshock franchise is terrible comparison IMO. I'm not fond of Skyrim myself, but I don't try to force my opinion as fact.
The fact of the matter is that right now Bioshock Infinite has an average of 95/100 with 36 industry reviews already published, with the lowest score being a 80. I understand that the franchise is not for everyone and your within you're right to question it until you play it. But I honestly don't think it's your intention, your just here to crap on any positive comments or praise that the game is getting at this point.

The reason i was trying to make this point at all was to plant the seed in people's minds that pre-ordering is foolish. That was my agenda, if i had one.
Then you'll be happy to know that I just got my DLC Season Pass pre-ordered key from GMG!
Impossible, don't you know by now Plague hates all games, and all of us.
Gametrailers used to have an HD option...now it's based on random parameters, like if your connection is good AT THE MOMENT...it'll turn HD and you'll see it noted as "HD" in green letters, or if you make it full screen it'll instantly go into HD mode.
Really odd IMO.
you can make it HD (regardless of connection) by changing it from "Streaming" to "progressive" and you can then select between HD or SD.

A fat sack of 20-30GBs? Or is that after the install, etc.
If it's anything like the original, it will be completely awesome. From watching Adam Sessler's review, its seems like it will be very similar to the original but better. I love the Bioshock series on the hardest difficulty and ammo/ability management. The environments are some of the most memorable. The audio tapes and little radio messages throughout are awesome.
Damn Sessler essentially describes it as the second coming, putting it up there with the likes of Half-Life during his wrapup at the end
I'll keep my expectations tempered though, hoping simply to have a good time instead of expecting an existential spiritual awakening or whatever.
Yeah it was pretty over-the-top, I'm a bit scared of getting my expectations too high as well, lol.
If it achieves even half of what he says, though, this should be amazing.
Only hours remain until BioShock Infinite emerges from cloud cover on leathery steampunk wings, and we’re eager for you to play one of the most artistically powerful games we’ve seen. Once you beat the campaign, you’ll enable access to 1999 mode, a throwback to the challenges of old-school shooters with toughened enemies and a leaner health bar. But if you want, you can hop on the pain sky-train right from the start with a very familiar code.
On the main menu, hit this key combination:
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, (Cancel), (Confirm)
Indeed. The people who didn't listen to the audiotapes missed about half of the story. There was so much going on before rapture went to hell. And it all plays out in the audio logs.
The original BS was an amazing game. Not a shooter, really, as you could not die, but more of a story that you happened to be a part of and could influence in certain ways.
And the way they played out the brainwashing, made so much sense. When i hit that part i actually had to stop playing and think about it. Seriously deep.
BS2 was not the same game. Fun, but without the depth of story, nor the heart. Still a good game, but when you've had a perfectly aged and cooked sirloin, a decent NY strip tastes like dog food. It's all in comparison. I'd take another BS2 over CODx or MWx.

Hmm, you can unlock the 1999 difficulty by entering in the Konami code,

Might try 1999 mode for my first playthrough.
Not totally sure, but based on one review video I saw, it sounded like 1999 mode has perma-death or something...not a fan of that.
Meaning if you die the game uninstalls itself? Thats rough.

Isn't there a built-in revival system?
It's technically perma-death, but you can bring yourself back if you've got the 'resources' to do so. Otherwise, it is game over. There are also saves in '99 mode.
Best part has to be combat specs. though, and planning each move. Makes it that much more immersive.
Looks like i'm going to have to pick this up, reviews look great. To top it off, i don't own XCOM and its included with the bundle now on steam for pre-order.
Kinda like nanite reconstruction in SS2.
Yea i see why they call these the 'spiritual' successors to SS2.. from the audio logs, to reconstruction... lots of similarities. A pity they stripped all the RPG out = /
Do they require a material for reconstruction in BS?
Sounds like someone is having mouse problems already in Infinite. Can anyone comment on FoV?
