Battlefield 6

I always thought of COD for the console players and BF for PC.

Its not BF if you can't get a tank or IFV to fly.

It's interesting maybe once, twice or three times but it's not interesting 100 times, if the game has been around for 20-30 years then why do you keep putting the same mistakes? That doesn't seem like a coincidence to me at all.
With such things they also ruined BF.

You do realize Vince Zampella who is now heading Battlfield was the person heading COD when MW2 launched? You know the COD that dropped dedicated servers, server browser, large player counts, etc, for a player hosted matchmaking with 6v6. It is difficult to be optimistic on what he might do with Battlefield considering he was responsible for making COD a console focused game and treating PC like an afterthought. I mean he went on a COD PC competitive podcast, Bash N Slash, at the time to announce how great all these changes were even though they completely killed the community.
I remember the exact moment of that interview where that dip shit confirmed CoD had gone full console

Interviewer: tell us about the PC specific features.

Zampella: it has keyboard and mouse support.

I had to remind my old teamates of this. Especially as they are upgrading for the game. Hope 4 the best. Prepare to get boned.

Looks better for a vehicle map but again, the field looks empty. Needs an objective out there with a bit more clutter. Otherwise it will mostly focus on the small city area.

Not sure what they did with the heli controls. Could not figure out how to control with only keyboard like BF3/4. Seemed to require mouse to shoot, and even the flight felt off. BF3/4 got arcade flight for helicopters done perfectly. Not sure why they messed around with it.

Lack of ray tracing is not a deal break for the kind of game BF6 is. The open-beta looked pretty good already imho and probably improve by launch.

I hope they change the filters a bit. Maybe not BF3 blue filter strong, but it is still present. If not technically a filter, well, the lighting is very much based off certain tones that don't look good. Lack of color/depth and makes it hard to see people and just looks washed out and ugly. All the maps have a different tint/color/filter.

Example, in this video you can see what it looks like and what it could look like.

Crazy we need this level of analysis to tell if someone locking on to targets through walls and smoke is cheating.
Only a cheater can catch a cheater, someone is making that soft aimbot and probably selling it, but it's also possible that they're doing it purely for fun...
As for raytracing, people with rtx 5090 and 9950x3d will probably play on low just to have the highest fps possible, I don't think anyone here cares about nice graphics, at least the vast majority...
As for BF, they ruined the game with various aim assists and similar things, BF should be PC only or at least the PC and console versions should be clearly separated. That should also apply to CoD so everyone can play their own game.

I don't really care about ray tracing, but I want the game to look good also, I don't want it to look like crap. I can already get up 200+ FPS playing the beta with everything maxed out, my monitor supports a 360 refresh rate which I don't feel I need to hit, I'm not playing competitively. Many who play on low are also looking to gain a advantage not only in frames, but also higher visibility over those that do not.

What the heck are "free maps"? Don't you get these maps from buying the game?

Or is this more fracturing of the playerbase for the haves and have nots? Premium buyers get all the maps but regular $80 buyers only get maps the game originally launched with and no more? WTF

So 6 months to a year down the road some players won't have those maps playable in their rotation

The whole concept of "seasons" in video games just sucks. It wasn't like this back in the day.

?

All they are saying is next "big" content patch will feature three maps. Everyone gets that patch by just buying the base game.

No DLC, no fracturing of the playerbase.

Fracturing the player base was the norm in older battlefield with dlc map packs etc. that had to be purchased separately unless you owned the ultimate edition or similar. BF3 and BF4 had several map packs, BF1 had a season pass that you had to buy on top of the base game if you wanted to play all of the maps.

If they are called expansions, DLC, map packs etc. doesn't really matter as they still split the player base between those that bought it and those that didn't. Back in the day must be very far back as even BF2 had maps added through an expansion pack.

They won't do that this time around, I assume they want a large of a player count possible while pushing micro transactions which is worse. I think more guns & in theme cosmetics would be the way to go for $20-30, with maps being free. Maybe there won't be quite as many maps as BF3/4, but it would be more than BFV/2042.

I look at some of these bf6 works on youtube and it seems like everyone uses that soft aimbot, obviously it brings them money and views and people admire how great they play. A ban can't hurt them anyway, I guess they buy a new game and key and continue. I guess that has become fashionable nowadays. A win-win situation for everyone involved, including dice and EA.
If this continues even when the game comes out, it won't be very good, the cheat could last who knows how long until it's discovered and then you'll probably buy a new one later.
In Europe, BF is mostly not played for fun, everyone plays competitively and is considered the most masculine game.
jackfrags probably doesn't go to the battlefield if he doesn't have his people with him to revive him and the like.

The intent of these kinds of videos from jackfrags is constructive criticism for areas of improvement. He's publicly giving feedback to to the devs.
You mean constructive feedback so fucking obvious that it goes without saying, but EA/DICE are so fucking thick and retarded that their biggest fanboy needs to put together a video politely pointing out these major issues?

Youtubers can't be too negative, otherwise they loose their exclusive access, insider information, or direct contact. So he, like just about everyone else, is never overly critical. It can be annoying of course. You'll see him complain about things and then make a video at a later date more or less saying something isn't that bad.

That goes without saying - the fact that he is even daring to raise these issues in spite of the risk of losing exclusive access shows how big they are. With his insider information he is no doubt hearing that none of these problems are going to be addressed, otherwise why make the video.

Got into Battlefield Labs for tomorrow. Seems like it is Battle Royale. I suppose I can use the opportunity to tell them how much it sucks and should not be in the game? :D

Anyone else try framegen during the beta? For me, it reduced motion blur and helped pop up my fps since I'm cpu limited in the bf6 beta. I was cpu bound to about 80 average. I noticed no input lag issues and it helped a lot with motion clarity/animation smoothness by popping me up to 150ish. This was on my 2560x1600 240hz ips notebook display with a 13900hx and 4080 mobile. I used DLAA as dlss q didn't help fps due to cpu.

Seems reflex and framegen have really come a long way.

EDIT: Just to note this was on max settings except for motion blur being disabled.

Yes I used framegen during beta. It worked really well.

All the naysayers are usually people who never tried it for themselves and saw a tuber and made an opinion forever. I have been using FG on COD BO6 since day one and I am not that bad of a player in that either.

My motion blur is always off for MP games. I have even started to cut it out in SP games.
