Battlefield 6

I used framegen during the heatwaves we had here (120 base fps doubled to 240 for a 360hz screen), as that reduced power and heat/noise so damn much (compared to pushing 200-300 native frames).

It was definitely playable latency wise, and a lot more comfortable since no AC here.

I ran BF6 beta at 240-260 fps 4K maxed out except motion blur and DLSS Q. I never tried without FG so wouldn't know what it is without it. I can get back you on full game release as I have a code for it already.
 
Speaking to IGN in a recent interview, Battlefield developers said that Battlefield 6 has been built from the start with console players in mind, going so far as to describe their approach as "secretly console first"

Frame gen is a bit of a mixed bag in my experience in that you gain some and you lose some. The games I've tried it in renders a bit smoother, but the mouse input is a bit worse. Basically if the game runs around 70 fps with no FG, running 2x FG and getting 120fps feels like the smoothness of 120fps when rendering, but closer to 40 fps when you try to aim. There are often some artifacts that are noticeable when you are used to non-frame gen version, especially in scenes with heavy rain. It is a nice feature to have access to but I generally ended up leaving it off after playing a few hours with it on and then off in other games.

DLSS is generally a positive as you trade a tiny bit of graphics quality for a significant frame rate boost while lowering input lag. DLAA is great if the game already runs well at native as it usually is far beyond the default AA used.

Didn't try FG in BF 6 as I would rather lower my settings etc. and the game ran fine at 4k without FG anyways. E.g. even at native and ultra it would rarely dip below 70 with DLAA and with some tweaking it rarely dipped below 90 fps and mostly stayed in the 100-120 region. It is not a fast paced or ultra competitive shooter where there is a massive advantage in having 200+ FPS. BF games have always been more towards casual side of things where you just chill and play to have a good time.

Yeah I was definitely confused at the start.

There are some reports from the fieldlab leaks though that buildings are extremely easy to destroy. I forget how many hits, but it wasn't many to take down the entire building with the sledgehammer.
 
A good video to use as a reference next year when BF6 is filled with the same silly skins as Call of Duty. ;)
 
Thinking back on it I'm amazed the parachute mechanic has remained part of the BF gameplay for so long and glad they never removed it in the BF games I played.
 
I would love to play BF6, but I'm the guy who dies 42 times in a row, and am completely convinced that somehow, the other guy is cheating.

If it had a main game server browser i probably woulda snagged it. Having only a "play now" option and getting put into a random map you may not even like isn't good enough. Why was a main game server browser ok for every other pc BF game besides the last piece of shit and this game?

Still not the same as having a server browser, being able to favourite well run servers etc. They're putting one in for portal mode but not the main game, for as much sense as that makes.

So where are we buying the base game key from? Best price? Which key website? Lol def not paying full price.
 
I got Intel bundle deal for base game for 40$. Seemed fair given I played 30 hours during 2 weekends of beta so if I get about 40 hours from main game that is good enough from a value standpoint.

From where? Do I need a new Intel CPU? Website? Also is that the key? I don't want someone elses account I want my own key.

Well I got it from someone on discord who didn’t have an intel cpu. So we used his account to login to my friend’s intel CPU and used vpn to redeem as it is US only. Then I messaged him on 3rd to again login to his Intel account to redeem it on my EA account. So final key you will get on your account but because the dude put key in his Intel account to check it - it was perma locked to his account. Ideally, he should’ve not input the key to his Intel account and just handed me over.

I am not in US so had to go through hoops. But for people in US, they just need the key and an intel CPU/GPU to redeem. Once done, redeeming to EA is straight forward.

Why we needed to ping him to login to his Intel account even though we had the credentials is because Intel tied his phone to the account and even after changing the phone number to my on the account, it would send sms OTP to his number.

LOL. It’s a pita but it worked for me and guy was cool about it.

You need an Intel CPU/GPU from the approved list. If you have that, you can activate one via the hardware verification tool. Codes are already distributed, think you have until the end of the month to redeem. Had a member here do it for me (purchased a code from them). Still need to activate one, or can sell it, if you have the appropriate hardware to activate it as I don't have Intel hardware.

Battlefield 1 had horses, don't you remember? When it comes to world war, war is fought mostly everywhere, whether with weapons or in some other way.
And why would you boycott ea now? The only thing is that if CoD becomes a new battlefield, they should introduce all the vehicles, CQ maps and battles for flags, destruction, etc. But I don't know if they even know how to do that, i.e. if they are allowed to, considering that battlefield probably has some rights.
The next BF probably won't be out for a very long time, maybe in 3+ years, and maybe then it will finally be Bad Company 3.
So if you want to play something similar to Battlefield, you have no other options because Battlefield is the best game of its kind, there is nothing better.
