Yeah, just wait on it. It'll take up to 48 hours for them to credit the points to your account. You'll see a huge button that says "Order.." when you have enough points ;)

Awesome!
I just had one more question. I guess I have to fax to nfr a paycheck stub and I have to get a bank account tomorrow but will I still be able to get the rebate if I use my dads bank card with his name on it?
Thanks a ton! :)

Did you register as a company or as an individual? They allow registration as an individual end-user but only for a "basic" membership. The other higher-level memberships take 3 days to verify company information.

So is this deal available to "basic" members also?

Hmm.. I just got 380 points and can order this deal.. but I dont know if I want to spend the $280 :(

I got one for a friend using my credit card so the rebate won't go. If anyone is interested, please email me. My friend is keeping the game and T shirt however.
Thanks.
Email: Bad_dude_at_gmx_dot_net, correct the at and the dot.

If anyone wants to sell theirs, PM and we can work something out. None of my friends work at any of the places listed.

Thanks
Brian

edit: missed the above post. Sent you a PM back Bad_Dude.

i registered as a company, i think. i know i entered the website and contact info for my school under "company info," whenever asked. it did take them like 3 days or so to verify my info and send me an email saying that i am in the program. i guess this means i am registered as a company.

Don't fuck this up for the rest of us. I only posted that link for other employees of other AMD partners. Abuse it and it may not be there in the future...

Okay, does anyone know...

I passed the test, and want to use my shipping address, but my cousin's credit card.. will it go through?

I know you dont need to send in a rebate anymore so then it should just ship, right?

Otherwise I'll have to sign up for a credit card, so let me know if I need to.

See if you can get him to call his credit card company, explain the situation and get them to allow you to use your info for billing for this order.

Otherwise get a credit/debit card of your own.... They really are quite useful... for draining all your money, that is...

actually, having a credit card is good for establishing your credit. this becomes useful if you want a high-limit card (like if you are a guy who is about to buy a diamond) or if you are applying for a home or car loan.

(i know, i know, this sounds like circular logic, but when the banks have us by the balls, there isn't much we can do but cooperate)

Registered my company and just called up to confirm my order looks like its in processing in the warehouse.. Not a bad deal for $192 with no rebates!

I ordered this item over a week ago. Website said it was shipping within 24 hours. A week later I get a call saying they need more info- my order was on hold for CC verification. So I give them the info and they say that the order will ship that day. I paid more for 2 day air. So today I get a call, notifying me that my order is on hold. I'm like WTF??? So I tell them that I got a call already talked to someone. I gave the guy my order # that was listed 4 times in the confirmation email- and they guy says the order's shipped. I asked for a tracking #, and he gives me one. I track the package and see first that it's DELIVERED!!! (it'd go to the apt manager) Yay I think- then I see the address is to Florida- I live in Minnesota. I call back, speak to someone, who then un-cancels the "double" order. I spoke to a supervisor (I work in a call center and know enough to escalate the issue at a certain point), and was informed the order did NOT ship, it's still waiting to be filled, and that the items are on backorder. According to him, they are still filling orders, they just ran out of motherboards. He also says that they called me no less than three times- which is BS since I have a cell phone that logs calls and my VM is always available. The notes on the calls say "unable to leave voice message"- sure. Funny thing is- they had everything last week when I ordered, they had everything Yesterday- THEY JUST RAN OUT. I'm worried that I won't get it at all....

I don't know if this is a lot, but my bro's credit card limit is 15,000.

Try it with one stick of ram and see if you can install Windows XP. If that works, update your bios and then install the second stick. I ran into the same problems taht you are having.

My combo is on the way.

Curious what overclocks peopel who have recieved this combo have gotton to on air ?

will this combo overclock much ?

Combo on the way to Vancouver, BC.

I sold the mobo and bought the chaintech nforce 3 250 board for 69 bucks from mwave. i got it stable at 2.585GHz on air. not bad

I work at circuit city and I got the deal myself (I'm under 18 though... shhhhhhh), it shipped really fast (ordered monday night, got it wed). But a few things; can I safely remove that heatsink from it and add a better one? And what cleaning stuff will get rid of the most likely thermal pad? Also, what papers do I have to send in for the rebate?

BTW, the shipping was absolutly horrible, it was in a plain cardboard box with the motherboard accessories floating around and the mobo and proc just cellophaned to a cardboard board. Oh well... it was cheap :D

I am on my 64 system right now. I like it alot. Very quiet. I love the green light Asus has on the board.

I know you can take the HSF off, because that was like the first thing i did (if it aint broken, mod it...)

i have heard that isopropanol is the best thing to use to get rid of thermal paste, although i have never done it, myself.

gl hf.

still looking for some stable overclock numbers using the original asus board.

Mine arrives tommarrow.

thx

Mine shipped yesterday (7/1) and arrives Tuesday. Man, it's gonna be a long 3-day weekend. I waited a couple days before ordering, if I had ordered 1 day sooner I'd have it today...

As long as it's 99% pure isopropyl alcohol. DON'T use the regular isopropyl rubbing alcohol you get at the pharmacy, it has moisturizers added to reduce dry skin that leave a residue behind.

Using good ram and so forth, I wasn't even able to get a stable overclock at 205 mhz. I suspect this is due to two very critical factors, one related to the other: First and foremost, this board doesn't have an AGP/PCI lock. This means as soon as you start cranking up the FSB, you're overclocking the cards and other (on)board devices that are on either the PCI or AGP bus. Consequently, when I cranked up the FSB to 210 mhz, I corrupted my OS on my SATA drive as I can only assume the overclocked SATA controller was writing crap to the drive at that FSB.

End result: really not an overclocking board. Get one of the MSI Neo Platinum or Abit Kv8 boards, etc. if you're interested in running the chip up.

Justc urious no athlon XP boards had a pci lock did they? I use my nf7-s v2 and it gets to 20fsb and higher and it works... just curiosu if its a amd 64 issue or what but fsb has been raised for years without a pci lock or em i missing somthing?

Hmmm if I get this.. will I see a performance increase over my current P4 2.4C?

correct me if i am wrong, but i thought this was supposed to be fixed in a BIOS update.

Pay stub, rebate forum and the packing slip that was on the side of the box.

both of mine shipped rather fast ;)

If someone wants to order this for me, we can work out a deal where you make some cash!

PM ME :)

No the mobo is based on the K8T800 chipset which does not support pci/agp lock. although the K8T800 PRO and NFORCE 3 250 chipsets do. which is why i would suggest selling the board and buying the chaintech for 69 bucks.

i only have a single stick, not 2. Im considering buying a gig of crucial, but if i can get this to work, i wouldnt mind saving the extra 200 bucks. If i can get it to boot into windows, and flash the bios, i should be fine? Also, should i bother using the ez flash, or just do it manually?

thanks

Hey guys, got mine a few days ago and shes running like a champ... but kinda a stupid question. Far Cry came with it, but I don't see a CD-Key. The game can play just fine for single player, but no multiplayer without the CD-Key. Am I missing something?

my CD key was on the sleeve that the CD was in. i hope you didnt throw it out...

No I didn't throw it out, but I just got a blank white sleeve. Did yours come in some special Far Cry sleeve?

no, it was a plain white sleeve with what looks like a CD key on the back.

i suppose i should qualify my statement by saying that i have not had the time to install farcry to be sure that it really is a CD key...it looks like one, though heh.

Well, I actually purchased FarCry when it came out. No CD key was asked for during install, and I played the single-player game all the way through. There IS what appears to be a CD key on the back page of the manual in the white box on the lower left, but as I said it was never asked for during install.

I haven't played multi-player yet, perhaps they ask for it then, I don't know...

Also, you keep referring to "the CD" as if there was only one. I'm assuming you've got the DVD version of FarCry, because the CD version is 5 CD's long. I wanted the DVD version when I bought mine, but it wasn't available in North America.

This board has PCI lock but no AGP lock. I was able to run it at FSB 225. I got two Kingston HyperX PC3000, running them at full speed.
