Hi all,
I'm selling my 1650S that I bought 4 months ago since I was able to snag a 3060 ti. It's in like-new condition and has original box.
I'm asking for $140 shipped OBO. Would be a perfect card if you're building a system for your kid to play fortnite or minecraft on, or something along...
Been away a while! My computer is STILL a DFI Lanparty nF4 SLI-DR with an Opteron 165! I definitely need to get back into this and teach you guys a lesson again! New rig soon~~~
Who is still here from the 754/939 days?

A friend of mine gave this to me after he got a new computer. The system had everything except an HDD. 3gig northwood (30 capper, those are supposed to OC nicely in an Abit or Asus board right? Though, I think M0 is the good stepping. This is...
The math co-processor. (Accelerator is the marketing term this time around)
Looks like it will be for Socket F, though I really hope that AMD slipped in a 2nd HTT link in the AM2 spec. Would be awesome to be able to run this on a desktop if it proves to increase general purpose use...

It's OPN is ADA3400...4BZ.
E3 Venice. It's an OEM-only chip. Stock multi is 11x200 and has 512k cache (hence the "4" in the OPN)
LBBLE is the stepping. Week 0545. It's a decent chip for what I paid through my work. I recommend it to anyone...

3.2 on what looks like a Scythe or that one weird Austrian heatsink. Nice system they got. I always knew the Japanese got better stuff before us, even from non-Japanese companies!
We had a good run with you.

PCIe 16x is... 4GB/s? Plus, it has to go through the chipset to get to the CPU, so added latency. Leave it to AMD and Co. to slash latency
Socket F board...
It seems this card is pretty decent for the price. I got it for $222 after taxes.
With this config:
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=51160
And a 7800GTX at stock speeds, I got 80,011 in aquamark.
With that same config and a 6800GS at stocks, 72,940.
After bumping up to...
Asking price for the GTX: $400 shipped to USA or Canada. This includes the original package and most of the original stuff (like the ViVo crap)
Possible trades:
x700 pro PCIe + $350
6600 PCIe + $325
6600GT PCIe + $300
6800nu PCIe + $275
GeForce4 MX PCI + $399.99 (For you, eclipse!)
I'm...
Asking price: $350.
I am selling this cpu because I'm trying to find a more reasonable way to budget my computer needs. The chip is in full working condition and is rarely ever oc'd (it gives enough performance at its stock speed for me.) At this point, I'd rather just have fun with Opterons...

939 Opteron, XP-90C, etc etc.
I need a new power supply. It almost finishes SuperPI at this speed, but the computer restarts due to the strain on my 420W PSU from the 7800GTX and high speed/power Opteron. I did manage to get 98,242 in AM3 and a...

Buy a 3200+ oem, and get a free AGP 939 board. The perfect kit for those that want to move to the Athlon 64 but still retain their AGP card!
There's several things that bug me (and others) about the current Athlon 64's. I decided to see where others stand on this. M2 is pretty much finalized, but the Athlon 64 has a lot of room for improvement. This thread will, I hope, summarize everyone's feelings of the K8/K9's shortcomings. I'll...

By saying that they need to reclaim this "leadership," they are, by default, saying nVidia won. Discuss with dignity and fraternity.
This is from the X800XL 512mb review on [H]. It's referring to Abit's vGuru which allows for, well, what is mentioned. Now it seems to be Abit only makes ATi cards which aren't high end right now. But imagine a 7800GT or 7800GTX made by DFI (or Abit, since, they were the first to the playing...
Heres the story:
I got an Antec Smartpower 2.0 inside of a Lian-Li V800-B case. It's a smallish dekstop form factor case, but full ATX. Unfortunately, nVidia likes to create really large cards and the video card with the power connector have about 0 nm of clearance. Yeah, zero nanometers. The...

A single substrate with both the CPU and chipset on it. This sounds like a pretty cool step in the direction of mobility. I was thinking that a CPU+Chipset+Video on a single die would be the best way to go, but the yields would probably...
Asking price for the whole combo: $250.
The Sempron is a 64bit "3100+"
It's featured in this XS thread with 32m screen: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=71781

It takes a crazy amount of voltage to do 2.7, but it can do 2.43ghz on stock 1.4v no sweat.
I would aquamark and all that, but the best video card I have for AGP is a GeForce3 ti200, haha.
I like these new Semprons a lot.
Oh and the...

"ABIT Original 1 Click OC Switch"
Lovely.
There's an identical thread in that other forum, but I think Intel is better at making core names, especailly for their chipsets.
My personal favorite would probably be Cedar Mill. It's not out yet, of course, but it has a nice ring to it.
edit: The Itanium one is now considered "Other...
Since Ballistix results are the cool thing to do these days.

I'm pretty happy with these. This seems to be the best medium of speed and timings.
My Dothan is running at 60C. The cooler on it is basically a hybrid of a 1U and a radiator (the way the fins look remind of me a radiator anyway.) The cpu idles at like 54C-56C as well. It's a 740, 1.73GHz. Any idea why this thing is running hotter than a higher clocked, higher volted X2...

Too bad they didn't run any real benchmarks.
Look at the RAM:

WTF.
ALL SOLD! Thanks guys!
Well, I'm planning on getting an X2 system so I'm putting this baby up for sale. The cpu can run 2.65 GHz at 1.65v like a dream, and 2.5GHz at 1.45v (a .05v undervolt and a 100MHz overclock!) I would like to sell it, the DFI Lanparty UT250 which is capable of an HTT of...
Hello fellow forum goers. I have noticed an increase in threads asking which would be better of these two choices on an Athlon 64/Sempron:
4x512mb
2x1024mb ram
First, I will clear up some misconceptions of the "limitations" of the A64 memory controller.
I will reference this thread...
Alright. The point of this thread is to dispel the myths, rumors, misconceptions, and insecurities people have in regards to 1T vs 2T timings and memory speed. Hopefully this will cause less threads asking for "memory that does 1T" and people worrying over the 4x double sided dimms issue...
This is really embarassing but, I'm totally out of the loop for Intel these days. My initial reaction to buying an Intel system would be to get a DFI board and CH-5 and a 2.8E, however, that probably isn't the best course of action, haha.
So, are there any mATX boards that are worthwhile...
I finally got my XP Pro x64 installed. I'm amazed at how fast this OS loads. The Windows loading screen lasts roughly one second. Even a fresh install of the 32bit XP pro took around 9 or 10 seconds to complete.
Here is some Cinebench goodness.
Cinebench 64bit:
Cinebench 32bit...

Unfortunately its only a 256kb combined cache one. A 384kb combined would be nice, but a 2.0ghz Sempron is just funny!
$140 is a rather steep price though. You can get an A64 3000+ for $139.00 OEM, 147 Retail.

This is some of the best DDR2 on newegg for an amazing price, rivaled only by OCZ 5400EB and Corasir 5400UL (ironically, the 5400UL is more expensive than this 6400)
Edit: new hot deal! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102541
This has to be the best card for AGP you can get for $400, if not the best card period on AGP. I know AGP is going the way of the dinosaurs, but this is a really nice deal. Plus that adaptor for albatron might...
SOLD!
This video card comes with the default cooler. It's a robust card that's PERFECT for gaming on 17" or 19" LCD's, as it can do all games I've thrown at it with 1280x1024, settings maxed out. The CS:Source stress test gets around 60 FPS with 4xAA and 16xAF, all settings maxed. However...
This memory is rated for 263MHz at 2.5-3-3-8 timings. It's barely been used, and I've never been able to take it very high due to my memory controller's limitations. And, since I can't take advantage of the speed (I know one stick can do 295mhz 2.5-3-3-8 in memtest stable, but windows crashes...

The official site is down and I can't find any mirrors for it. If anyone has it or knows of a place that has it, I'd be really grateful if you shared this. I'm really curious as to what modern hardware can do on that benchmark.

That's a pretty loose interpretation of the word "blistering" and I'm not sure that's exactly a whole lot better than the PC4800 rated for 2.5-4-4-10. Still, it's interesting that DDR is still being pushed this far.

This is something wholly unimportant, but since I'm bored and procrastinating homework, I figure I would write it up. What I'm trying to find is the best Performance/Voltage ratio there is on A64's. This score can be called the PVI. I don't want to make cache an issue with this, as that will...
