g'day guys. i have a question on the fan setup on my external wc project. i was using 2x150mm fans just a few days ago and it blew up and got toasted. i am going to replace my 2x150mm fans (which is in a pull config) with the options below:
1) 2x120mm Nidec 110CFM pull and 2x120MM Adda 50CFM...
here is my customized ex wc kit, it has 2x150mm fans and a custom made rad with a dimension of 120mmx300mm, pumps are 2x1600l/h . the tubings I used is a Masterkleer 7/16" ID/ 5/8" OD. my load temps on an oc'ed A64 3200+ is 39C, 11C lower than my previous cooling which is a Thermalright XP-120...

here is a good setting
Direct3D and OpenGL:
AA = 4x AF= 8x both set at performance
Texture Preference = Performance
Mipmap Detail Level = High Quality
Wait for vertical sync = Default On
Truform = Always off
this works well with the cat and omega drivers
so far the best oc'in mobo for the socket 754 is the DFI lan party ultra nforce3. i also have an MSI K8N Neo Platinum, it supports raid 0+1 and has a 450mhz fsb (bios ver 1.4)
its very minimal or sometimes none in terms of performance. the reason why its priced different is because of the bundling (i.e. games, software, etc.)
yes you will but do note that on some ati cards its better, sometimes its on par with the regular cats, and sometimes the regular cats are better. you should see for yourself and look if there is a performance increase in actual gaming
