I wanted to mod an old dell keyboard that i have by running some el wire inside it. My question is, would it be possible tap into the keyboard's ps/2 cord, or a point withing the keyboard itself, to draw power for the el wire? I don't want to have to run yet another cable from the keyboard to...

I dig the headunits with the aux in jack...i can connect my ipod right up to it so it kinda defeats the purpose of needing a unit that plays mp3s. :) Of course, i'm driving an 81' jeep cj8, so playing cds is a bit of a pain without having to worry about the cd skipping every other second.

If you're going to use onboard video, i would suspect that the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150MCE LP low profile PVR card would be sufficient for your needs. Although, you will probably need to buy a standard PCI bracket to replace the low profile bracket depending on your case.
