Both the PS3 and the X360 will show off the HD capabilities of your new TV, but the 360 has a superior selection of titles as well as a better online service. Blu-Ray is no better then HD-DVD, however that choice comes down to which movies you want to watch in High Definition.

I have 2 of these cards in SLI in my new rig, I installed the drivers off the CD because the latest forceware at the time of me building it didn't support the cards yet. I am having no problems with windows xp media center edition sp2 and these cards.
I have 2 7950GT m570's SLI'd and they run Company of Hero's at all HIGH settings and max model detail silky smooth. My SLI combo is only a bit faster then a stock GX2 so you can expect the same results.
I have 2 xfx7950GT m570 extreme's SLI'd and they kick ass. Honestly I'm dissapointed my case doesn't have a window and I think trying to install one in a p180 side panel would ne hellish! Also they don't get very hot at all. I have not tried overclocking them yet (because I have absolutely no...
I just built my new rig and it has 2 x 7950GT's SLI'd. Honestly I can't tell if I need that much power right now since my monitor only does 1680x1050, but from what I've seen in all the games I have, setting them to max eye candy w/ anti-aliasing, my cards seem to handle themselves pretty well...
Asus P5NSLI will support the chip and video card you mentioned. It's cheap too around $120. Hopwever from what I've read overclocking isn't something that this board does well. I am not overclocking mine currently.
here ya go. cooling to the cards is mainly from a 120mm fan that is located near the front of the case in front of the middle drive rack (which is empty, my hd is on the lower rack). So the air passes through an empty tube to the video card area.
Same thing happened to me today when I tried to install the latest WQHL drivers from nvidias site. I am using 2 of the XFX 7950GT 570m Extreme cards. It said it couldn't detect any nvidia hardware to install the drivers with. I just used the unsigned drivers that came with the cards.
I just built my new pc and included two XFX 7950gt's in sli on a P5NSLI board. From what I've seen so far they are able to drive my new 22inch lcd (1680x1050) at max settings in Company of Heroes, Counterstrike: Source and World of Warcraft with no problem. I'm going to be running some real...
I'm planning on building a new conroe rig, but I'm having trouble deciding what motherboard to get. An older nForce 4 board (P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe) or the newer P5NSLI.
One thing that stood out on the P5NSLI is that it mentions if you use both PCI-E slots in SLI configuration with 2 video...
I'm planning on building a new rig in the next few weeks and going mATX is something I'm considering. I am going to be getting an E6600 cpu and a 7900GS video card (will get a 2nd one in a month or 2), if I could get a nice mATX board that would support my endeavours I would like that instead...
I'm planning on building a new box this year (2006) and it's going to be my first SFF. Does anyone have any info / links on some new sff products coming out (cases especially). Would be nice to wait a bit if something brand new (and nice) is just around the corner.
I'm also having problems with my 7200.8. It's slow as sh*t. I'm running it on my Asus P4P800. My WD 80GB JB (ATA) is way faster then this seagate.
No idea what the hell's going on.
I'm also going to be building my first sff system in january, and am looking ath the qpack housing. What video card are you going to be using with your setup??
Bought one because I was really interested in the hardware.
PDA style touch screen, stero sound, microphone. dual screens.
The thing kicks ass, you have no idea how cool it is until your running around in metroid using the thumb strap to aim and kill stuff. I hope some people at work bought...
For sale is 2 x 256MB ram sticks. The reason for the sale is that I own a P4P800 and wanted 1GB ram. According to all the computer store techs I spoke with (and the mb instruction manual), the board which has 4 ddr slots, won't allow me to run 4 sticks DUAL CHANNEL (at least not pc 3500 hyper...
So let's get this straight:
AMD 2400+
1 gig pc2700 ram
9800SE Powercolor
And you're wondering why you're only getting 16k in 3dmark01?
Your system components are not that great, you're lucky to even get 16k.
I'm thinking you might get 5700 in 3dmarko3 with that rig, if that.
Lol, I get that too when I run 3dmark03. Always puzzled me what was doing it. Shrug I just learned to live with it, I don't notice any sounds when gaming (I crank my speakers).
I installed mine but it was scary, it made a loud crack sound, when I was tightening the screws down, but ah well I installe dit and its working fine. Used as5.
Infinium labs is crap. I have friends in several big game development companies, and let me tell you... none of them are working on any secret phantom projects. Actually none of them really know what the phantom console is, LOL!
Infinium Labs is shoe'ing themselves in the nuts over this...
MX700 is the best mouse I've ever used, The weight is fine once you get used to it. I recommend it to all my friends.
Oh and there is NO lag at all. And a charge lasts me usually a week at a time :)
LOL, even if the Phantom was real (which I doubt). It's going to have the worst games out there. I have friends who work at rockstar, electronic arts and a few other small game companies and NONE of them even know what the hell I'm talking about when I mention the phantom. "what is it?", "a...
The sound using Windows Media Encoder is messed up for me too.
I can't get the audio feed to stay set at anything but MIDI. Whenever I switch it to Line-In, Aux, or "what-u-hear" it just switches itself back to midi, after I click ok.
OEM is "supposed" to be used by computer stores to build systems and sell them completely built. That means no packaging comes with the hardware, maybe an instruction book and a driver cd.
Computer stores buy most of thier parts in bulk, and can pass the savings on to customers by offering...
Socket A makes it too easy to damage your chip/mobo when installing heat sinks. I prefer the new 4 point hsf cages on the p4 boards.
I am recommending Intel Platform to all my friends these days, AMD runs too hot and socket A is zzzzzzz.
Well you can crank the 2.8 up to 3.5ghz on a decent motherboard (250fsb). Either use pc3200 @ 5:4, or pc4000 @ 1:1
You might want to get something non stock to cool it as well.
Get an Antec Case, either a sonata or an AMB3700, both come with good power supplies, and 3 year warrently, they look good too!
They both come with a 120mm fan to help cooling!
After you double check your wiring, maybe you should spray out your case with compressed air, maybe some metal shavings gor in there (who knows what from). I would just send ti back to Antec, They will test it, and if its busted they will send u a new one, and if its not I'm sure they will send...
Thats 100% user error, it's his fault he didn't check the gpu / shim heights.
I'm running a VGA Silencer (rev b) on my 9800 AIW no problems with heat, I didn't remove the shim and I used AS5.
