I'm planning on building a new conroe rig, but I'm having trouble deciding what motherboard to get. An older nForce 4 board (P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe) or the newer P5NSLI.
One thing that stood out on the P5NSLI is that it mentions if you use both PCI-E slots in SLI configuration with 2 video cards they will run at 8X as opposed to the 16x with just 1 video card.
Is that going to be a bottleneck for video performance? From what I can see on the ASUS site the older Nforce4 board I mentioned doesn't say anything about having to run both of its PCI-E slots at 8x if you use 2 video cards.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
