I have a 32'' Samsung LCD, love it to death but it's literally too big for my desk - I don't have enough depth to get it far enough away when gaming with it to see everything at once. In essence, I bit off more than I could chew with this one.
My last ditch hope is that there is a swingarm...
I haven't seen anything, it's become just hype that it's a great opportunity for retailers to throw away a bunch of shit they'd otherwise never sell...
Wondering what a great under the desk treadmill would be.. would like to have something that's affordable ($300-$500) and still maintain a decent sized track for walking. Please recommend.
Thank you!
Looking at picking up a thinkpad for myself.. what is the best way and or deal to do for puchasing one?
Lenovo's site? Amazon? Third party? Refurbished and or 'scratch and dent' ?!
Looking for a way to get into a better laptop for a bit of a lower price..
Hi, is there any kind of plug in USB device that will take a computer's wired ethernet and turn it into a short range WIFI hotspot?
Looking to gain WIFI reception on a mobile device off of a wired computer.
Is Intel putting anything out to compete with Amd's Ryzen 3?
I have an X370 chipset board (which I don't care for, microdensitometer seems imminent and only running 2900mhz with ddr 3200 ram).
Last setup I came from was a very nice I5 that I had for years, so I'm tempted to go back to Intel...
I'm playing PUBG and Blops, Mordhau. I'm getting a lot of microstuddering and I've done a lot of fixing and flipping of all sorts of things to fix it. I found that a lot of folks with my X370 chipset were having issues with the same kinds of games and micro studderings.
That's mostly my fix...
Looks like AMD wants to push Ryzen 3 for October or November?
I have DDR 3200 ram already, and I am mostly a gamer.
Is there a chip and then motherboard that'll let me plug the ddr 3200 in there and rock and roll?
What increase in performance should I really see from the Ryzen 7?
My...
On Ryzen 7 1700 - was hoping that we were getting Ryzen 3 by June or July.. looks like it is coming Oct/Nov more likely?
Worth waiting on or should I just flip over to an Intel based system? Already had good DDR 3200 ram, just need a new board and proc probably for an upgrade to intel...
Looking for the best turn based RPG for Nintendo Switch?
Something that was released last year and is cheaper - $15-$20 would be a great addition but I'm open to anything new too. Going to be on my butt for a while post surgery.
Thank you.
When is the next gen release timeline?
Don't want to pull the trigger from my 1070gtx quite yet, not enough bang for buck with the 2080 and 2080ti.
Thinking of putting $1k off to the side for the next gen release. Summer?
I'm on a 1070 and I'm playing everything at 1440p - still not impressed with performance or price point, need to have another bump up in performance.. maybe next gen.
Have you investigated the hitching and or know what is causing it on your system? Do you think it is the game itself or are others getting a hitch-less experience?
I'm only getting 2933mhz out of my DDR 3200 ram and after doing some research I'm told that the motherboard I have is just not very good with getting correct ram speeds/timings.
I'm also experiencing 'hitching' or 'jolting' while playing Black Ops 4. I'm taking a small guess that this could...
So this says memory usage 15.9gb but then the 'in use' is listed below.
What's the correct amount of ram that's being used on the system? I'm confused here..
Am trying to figure out if Black Ops 4 is pulling all my ram and then page filing which is the 'hitching' that I'm feeling while...
Ended up plugging in a Xonar DGX for $35. Should've gone with Asus a long time ago and stayed with them. SB is just garbage riding out a name brand nowadays.
ram was trying to get it up to advertised speed, not necessarily an oc, but I do understand what you're saying here. I'll have to plug it back in and play with it soon.
Am having the same issue, I'm up to 3066 here, but with relaxed timings, and voltage jump. I will be stress testing soon to see if even that is stable.. ram is 3200 fyi.
Curious to know if there is an updated website that tracks what pc setup/ hardware a few of these 'pro' streamers are using:
Dr. Disrespect
Shroud
etc.
Be interesting to get an in depth scoop or even general overview of selected hardware and settings. The few that I have seen are dated from...
Updated my motherboards bios, installed new chipset drivers, and got my ram up to an OK 3066 speed (up from 1866 that it was running as default).
Sound now seems to be kicking in and out on the Sound Blaster Z card - sounds underwater and doesn't push through clearly.
I can't imagine that...
Yeah, not sure I'm going to get much of a performance jump by going to a motherboard right now - what would I get... 5%-8% performance after getting ram tweaked out possibly overclocked a little?
System is only a year and a half old for me so I'll let it sit for a while but if I get this itch...
Best I could get was 3066 @ 14 timings. If I push it to 3200 and then do 15 timings and then push voltage up to like 1.45 or 1.5 it'll still crash out on me. 3100 also crashes out on me.
3066 is highest I could get with stability. I suppose I shouldn't complain.. but still a little...
Okay, so I've adjusted timings to the 14-14-14-34, looks good to go. The voltage for the dram was at 1.2v.. shouldn't it be 1.35v? I put it up to 1.35v.. we'll see if it runs stable at this setting..
We're still at 2933, I tried to boot with 1.35v with the good timings @ 3200 and it just...
That's the XMP profile enabled. If I do 3200 the system will blue screen on boot and won't even get me to a Windows login.
Those numbers do look high to me, I think you're right.
Here we are - updated to 5.1 (user error I was selecting the non /ac bios like an idiot) and then we're at 2933mhz.. going to give it a shot at 3200 and see if its a win.
Yup bios update - says "No Image File Found". One more shot here, and then I'll just believe I'm stuck on 3.40, and try to play with settings for the ram.
First and last ASRock board I think for me.
I am on Bios 3.4 right now. I have flashed boards before, I'm quite confused that the board won't take any 3 of my tried / methods to flash.. rubs me the wrong way - I can try another go at it tonight when I have some time.
At end of work day I'll try to punch to 2933 and then go back and see...
Quick question here - is there a dedicated dimm slot or slots that I need to have this ram installed into in order to meet / make the 3200mhz/Cas 14 setting?
