Thanks everyone for the help, I'm not on here often but I always get great advice. It was this forum that helped me build her in the first place. 12 years later and she's still going well overall for day to day use. So that is a testament to the knowledge available on here!
When I run CCleaner...
My desktop PC is getting on a bit and it's starting to slow down, particularly when I have a lot of tabs open which I need for work. I have two extra slots I can install more RAM into, would that speed it up? Or should I start looking for a new PC? Ideally, I would like to keep it going for a...
I have limited knowledge and looking for some advice. I'm currently still running Windows 7 on my C drive and looking to format it and install Windows 10. How straight forward is this to do? How would I go about doing it? Obviously I will back up anything I need on current Cdrive. Also have...
Just got around to installing the drive, I was surprised not to find another sata connection so I had to use the cable from the drive which was full. I've orderd another cable to connect the full drive back up at a later date. Apart from that everything went smooth. Thanks for the help guys!
Hi folks, I'm looking to purchase a new drive.
The drive would be replacing a Samsung HD103SJ 1TB seen in the link below:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002MQC0P8/ref=oh_details_o08_s01_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The drive has been impecable but I just need more storage. After a little...
Just tried downloadhelper to no avail. Were you definitely able to download the 2nd link in my original post?
What script would you recommend? Honestly, I've tried multiple add-ons, Keep-vid esque sites and nothing is working.
Hi I've encountered a frustrating issue here. I have IDM installed (Internet Download Manger) installed and most of the time when I start a playing a video on Youtube an IDM tab pops up which gives me the option to download the video. However, on the odd occasion the tab doesn't pop up and I'm...
Hey thanks for the response. I will take a look at the sticky.
The content shouldn't be too complicated, basically it will consist of information regarding the product, what it does how it works etc with some pictures and perhaps a video to help fully understand how it works.
First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong section.
I'm looking to build my own website for my business. Initially it will be for promoting/advertising a product I designed but hopefully as things progress I can start to sell the product on the website.
I'm from the UK so the domain would...
I got a response from Danny so it must of sent, the messages are not showing in my sent box which is frustrating as you don't know whether the recipient is receiving the messages.

Thanks!
I think I'm just about ready to start ordering. What do you guys think, quite a solid set-up for what I'll be using it for? Really looking forward to it, the difference will be insane. :)
Cheers, I will ask over there.
Tbh most of that went way over my head :D I'm not necessarily on a tight budget, on the other hand, there's not much point paying more if you don't need to.
I take it this is the PSU you're eluding too...
Had another look and came across this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-HD103SJ-internal-SATAII-7200RPM/dp/B002MQC0P8/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1330750816&sr=1-1
Would save me £21 :D I assume this is a better option, so have added it to my OP!
I'm really not sure what's happened but...
Edited OP again. Decent enough drive? I normally go with Seagate, I've got an internal 320GB in my Dell and my external is a Seagate 1.5TB, both been very reliable although the external can be a bit slow.
I've got a question about my external actually. Why does it take so long to open a...
Okay guys I have been receiving similar feedback elsewhere regarding the motherboard and CPU. I have now edited my OP. :D
I hope to add another drive to the list, will report back later after some research. Thanks for all your help!
Thanks for the feedback! I'll answer your questions as best as I can.
1) I will hopefully be purchasing the new PC within the next 2 weeks. I won't be building it myself, will be taking it to a store.
2) I'll be honest, I'm familiar with these terms but don't know an awful lot about them...
Hi guys! Let me start off by saying, I have limited computer hardware/technology knowledge hence why I've created this thread. I've decided on the parts below from quite extensive research, reading and watching expert and user reviews! I have not purchased anything yet and I'm looking for...
Hey thanks for the feedback guys. I actually stumbled across this: http://www.ebuyer.com/341942-nzxt-ac-pht30-01-phantom-usb3-upgrade-kit-ac-pht30-01
Wasn't aware these things existed lol
In terms of the USB placements, I doubt that will be an issue for me as I will be only using them mostly...
My knowledge is fairly limited in computer technology so I was just looking for some advice.
I've been considering this case for my new set-up. I really like the Orange/Black version as seen here: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-034-NX&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=
This...
To be honest I have no idea. I've only just become interested in PC gaming. I'm actually replacing a 7 year old dell dinosaur so obviously it's an insane step up.
I will be using Sony Vegas a lot and rendering HD videos which have been recorded by a HDPVR.
Like the look of this...
Thanks for that piece of advice. I won't be purchasing anything for a few weeks anyway so we will see what develops. I'm just in the process of reading reviews and trying to obtain good value for money.
I seem to be leaning towards the GTX 570 at the moment but still, any suggestions are...
Hi folks! I'm in the process of buying parts for a new set-up! At the moment I'm having trouble choosing a graphics card. There's so many which have encouraging reviews.
My budget is £290 which I believe is around $450 US.
Don't care whether it's Nvidia or ATI just wan't good value for...
Hi guys! First of all, apologies if this is in the wrong section.
I have decided after 7 years with my Dell Dimension 4600 to treat myself and with a high end system. I have no complaints with the old Dell, it has been outstanding value for money but it's time to move on.
I have decided...
