Glad to hear it, My laptop SSD is my first experience with one and I can never go back. My desktop rig is pretty decently powered, but now it feels like it takes an eternity to boot up! It's going to be hard for me to wait a year or two before I do a new build, as I'm determined to hold off...
If it doesn't seem to effect your temps, then your high flow material should be fine. Your biggest problem is that you have far more exhaust than intake. If you either add more intake fans or maybe reverse your top exhaust fan, then that will help keep your case from sucking dust in. The...
Good choice, I just installed an M4 128gb in my p150hm and couldn't be happier! Also glad to see you're installing it in the primary bay, I tried both and it actually made a noticeable difference on file transfers!
I've used a dremel with success in the past and find that the cutting bits perform a bit better than the grinding bits. Just make sure the case is empty when you do it and beware of flying pieces if your bit breaks!
I think they will mostly remain in their own segment, targeting mid to high range buyers who prioritize portability. There will always be higher end users who need more power or want a larger screen, thus defeating the purpose of an ultrabook, and there will always be more budget minded laptops...
Sounds like it might be time for a replacement, I'm sure even for $20 you could get something better. That is a pretty old video card, after all, some things just wear out.
That sounds like massive overkill on ANY stock setup! Listen to what everyone says about the positive pressure, which you probably already have with those 200mm intake fans. Also, consider that most 100 cfm fans might drive you crazy with noise!
Those twin 580s would last you a long time. I'm not as picky about fps as some people, but I'm playing Skyrim at 1900 x 1200 maxed out (no AA) with no problems at all on my gtx 285. I can't even picture how your single 580 is giving you issues at the same resolution!
I like the idea of it, but I think it's less enjoyable than an eyefinity setup. As it is now, I'm perfectly happy gaming on my 24" single monitor for now.
I loathed my RAZR from the first day I brought it home and it froze on me. It was the most user unfriendly phone I've ever had and I was almost happy when the top half stopped working so I could replace it!
Hey Everyone,
I've been trying my i7 920 overclock, and can't seem to get my computer to even BOOT with anything but the default settings. I first tried to go by the settings used in this guide:

oooooooooooook I figured it out, I'm an idiot and foolishly plugged my cables into their correspondingly colored jacks. Once I looked up what jack was what in my Mobo manual, I got it all figured out. Sorry to waste your time and thanks for the help!
I just now plugged the speakers into the front headphone port of my computer, and they seem to work fine there. It looks like it's the rear panel that's the issue. Is this cause to RMA the MoBo or is there some other fix? I'd love to avoid an RMA because I juuuuuuuust got the system running...
Hey guys, sorry for my complete n00b question, but I just put together a new i7 system and my H/K HK695 speakers aren't putting anything out, although they worked fine earlier today on my old P4 system. I've updated all the drivers and tried both the HD audio and AC97 modes in the BIOS, and...
I just put together a new i7 system and have 2 WD6400AAKS drives that I intended to run as my C and E drives. Both drives show up in my BIOS but for some reason Vista only shows the C drive. The drives are configured to run in IDE; I don't have any sort or RAID setup enabled. Why would both...
Hey guys,
I'm new here so I apologize if this is the billionth i7 build thread you guys have read, but I have a few questions. This is my second ever build, and it will be my first venture into OCing. This computer will mostly see moderate gaming, photoshop (photo retouching and web design)...
