560TI vs 6950

Hey guys, been a while since I've posted, but just need some quick help with a graphics card upgrade.

Assuming I have an amazing computer that meets all the specs and what not. Which, GPU should I go with or would you guys recommend something else.

Assume we're comparing apples to apples (1GB GDDR5 vs 1GB GDDDR5 ... etc).

I've heard great things about both GPU's and I've searched the forums, but didn't see any direct comparisons. Thanks in advance!

Check out some review here on hardocp...

You really shouldn't ever consider buying the 1GB 6950 when the 2GB is such a small extra investment. It's also worth noting that the next gen AMD is apparently around the corner.

A 6950 is typically more comparable to a GTX570. The 6870 is typically paired against the GTX560Ti

And most 6950s oc to 6970 speeds no prob, and if you unlock them (some don't unlock), you get a 6970 for 100 less
 
Agreed with 6050 for its overclockability, although I generally prefer Nvidia for their drivers and CUDA's compatibility with adobe products.
