I ran chkdsk /r. I also ran the seagate utility and found no errors. I have new memory on order and if that don't fix it I will order a new harddrive. There is no data on the hd that will be lost just the OS. I am just hoping it is the hd and not the mother board.

So I am new to this OC thing. I have a P5Q-Pro E8400 with a Tower 120 cooling. Running 400 fsb X 9 with a voltage of 1.15. I run Prime 95 for 20 hours then it errors. I first tried intel burn last night and it fails instantly. I set everything back to default which is auto everything and...
How does one flash your card. Is this a safe procedure. I get the same error. I seem to be able to resolve it by turning my overclocking down on my 4850 card.
I agree. I see the point of lapping but again I don't. I am only taking my E8400 to 3.6. So a few deg. either way is not a big deal. And for 6 hours of work I don't think it is worth it.
So heres the deal. Tonight after work I changed the cpu voltage to 1.15. Have been running Prime95 for over a half hour and temps are staying under an ice cold 45 deg. So either the voltage change helped, or the AS5 cured and made a big difference.
Sorry I have an Antec 300 case with both stock fans one 120 on med setting and one 140 on low setting. Voltages were not touched at 1.28 V.
Also running Tuniq fan at 1700 RPM
Ok, so I just installed my new Tuniq tower and AS5. I overclocked to 3.6 and I'm getting 40 deg. idle and up to 60 load on CPUID Hardware Monitor. Don't these temps sound a little high or does the AS5 need to cure?

I can't hear the GPU fan above the case fans. I have an Antec 300 with one 120mm tri-cool and one 140mm tri-cool both set on low.
