Direct from their Warranty page: The warranty only covers the ORIGINAL owner of the product and may not be transferred thru resale or other methods. (https://www.powercolor.com/rmaus). It doesn't really matter what other companies do.
my history with Asus started rather recently with a M4A78T-E that was given to me from a friend as he had upgraded his computer. The motherboard itself has been rock solid and has stood up to my friends abuse and will spend the rest of it's days chugging away in my first ever HTPC. So far my...
So my friend recently gifted me a Asus M4A7BT-E + Phenom II X4 965 (I think) left over from a previous setup. Since recently cutting cable, I've decided to put together an HTPC for recording OTA TV, and general movie watching. Since it's an ATX board, there seems to be a more limited field of...
Other than they're great bang for the buck pricing for the great GPU's, Galaxy seems to really take care of their customers (made clear by the fact the forum representative is always tries to help out the [H] members).
AMD created a better landscape for the consumers by providing top notch products at a great price (not to mention some amazing power specs). Their recent driver revisions has shown folks that they can bring the [H]ardware and the software to the table. The 7970 is just a beast of a card with...
Asus has proven againand again that Direct CU is a proven superior design. It provide exemplary cooling, extra headroom to OC the card, and just looks sexy. Regardless of brand, Asus delivers performance, looks, and quality products.
I just received my Rosewill RK-9000 with MX Reds. I have to admit that while the noise is going to take some time to get used to, I'm simply amazed at how effortless it is to type. I'm hoping to get my wife to try out a mechanical keyboard. I'm thinking that it will help her out at work (she...
So, here's the story gents. This X-mas I purchased the Roku 2 XS for my mother since she's a huge fan of Netflix. She's been only is watching it on her laptop since her LCD TV doesn't have any internet capability, and their Sony BDP-350 didn't support Netflix.
I go to their place to set it...
I love Corsair because of their dedication to giving quality products to all types of computer users. To the value ram that's in my wife's laptop, to the high quality PSU that's powering my rig. I also can attest to their excellent customer service from a hassle free RMA I had to do earlier...
I've had two experiences (one RAM, one PSU) both which were sent to me in a reasonable amount of time (~3 weeks) However, I do remember one was a check where the other was a prepaid Visa card (I'd prefer the check, but $ is $).
The PSU in my sig was wrong (corrected now), I got a HX650w to replace the aging HX520w. My mistake :)
That being said, it's probably a good step to try just to cover all my bases.
The PSU is quite new. I recently had it swapped out recently (used to have a HX520W).
Well, my swap to a different PCI-E card didn't work out, same behavior when I fired up Furmark or a game. I did verify though that the temps aren't rising to anything ridiculous and that the fan is...
Thanks for your answers so far [H]'ers!
I'll loop around with MC again, I was on the phone with a rep when I asked so it's quite possible they were busy (or didn't care) and didn't actually check
I don't think the warranty period is in question, rather the lack of a original sales...
Yea, funny story about that (should have included that in my original post). I purchased this from a friend, who in turn had purchased it from Microcenter. Palit won't do any RMA work without the original sales receipt (no surprises there). However, the big burn is that my friend no longer...
So, last night while playing DX:HR my computer hard locked. I powered it down, and after a few seconds I brought it back up. Half way through loading Windows, it blue screened citing "nvlddmkm.sys" as the culprit.
I started by booting into safe mode, to do a re-install of the drivers. In...
Corsairs PSU's have served me well, they're always quiet and stable. Now give me one of those sets of speakers so i can write something nice about them in the next corsair contest :)
I've run into an issue similar to this when coming out of sleep, or standby. My GTX460 would artifact, lock up, and reboot my PC. I ran a few tests in furmark to see if my GPU was dying (I figured I would see heavy artifacting if it was) and all the tests passed with flying colors. I recently...
1) 80 Plus Bronze Certified (my new min)
2) Modular cables, so I don't have more of a tangled mess than I already have
3) Quiet during a gaming session. I don't want a jumbo jet sound coming from my PSU when I'm stomping zombies :)
